    So I just watched 1 hour and 20 min of this video and loved every minute but because I was knitting, I didn’t comment, but then you talked about your Duolingo score and I literally have stopped the video with 1 minute and 4 seconds to go just to comment. I need you to know that y his ENTIRE time I have been so impressed with your incredible English. Truly, you use words and expressions that are so advanced!!! Haha there are native English speakers that wouldn’t use the word “crucial” very easily! Anyway I just needed to let you know that! Plus, I also want you to know that this was such an enjoyable podcast and I’m sooo inspired! I’ve already liked and subscribed and I can’t wait to go through previous episodes and to see what you end up knitting next! ❤❤❤

    How nice to find another winter type in the knitting realm! :) I have to admit, I'm growing a little tired of all the beige and brown that most knitters seem to prefer. Love these cool tones! I'm also very sensitive to mohair and itchy yarns in general, so I could relate to every word you said. Gorgeous knits!

      Oh I am happy you enjoyed!!! And yes all the beiges are a big no for me, I love them on others but they do not do anything for me!!
      Thank you for watching and happy knitting🥰

    I totally feel the same about vests in Australia because it's summer 60% of the year, inferno 35% and like.. a handful of cold days so I never wear any transitional garments as much as I love them and enjoy knitting them.
    Uniqlo have some thing turtle neck and mockneck tops that I got during a sale which are nice to wear under knits! I also started using Suri instead of mohair, not sure if you're ok with alpaca(?).
    Also I loved your self drafted sweater for your brother, the cables and colour choice are 10/10.

    • @knittingflem
      @knittingflem  8 месяцев назад

      Yes the weather is complicated😭 thank you for the recommendations!!! Yes Alpaca is definitelly better but I feel like, for day to day garments I prefer them to be non fluffy still. But yes I'll definitelly use Alpaca in the future! And I cannot wait to knit another one of those sweaters and have it for myself😍
      Thank you for watching 🥰🥰

    I’m knitting the Lana vest right now. What size did you make? I was on the fence between 1 and 3 and went with 2. I’m afraid it will be huge now that I saw yours. Do you think I could eliminate under arm stitches without disrupting the cable running down under the arm?

    • @knittingflem
      @knittingflem  8 месяцев назад

      You definitelly can!! Just stop increasing before the pattern says to, or increase at a slower rate, most of the sts for the cable under the arm are created when you cast on sts to join the body in the round, so you could totally do that!
      Oh and also I made size 2.
      I hope it was helpful! Happy knitting🥰❤️

    Ciao Flaminia, sei bravissima a sferruzzare e molto brava a parlare inglese ma .... perché non fare questi video in italiano? Sei la quarta italiana che incontro sul web a fare questi video in inglese. Peccato!

    • @knittingflem
      @knittingflem  6 месяцев назад +1

      Ciao Antonella!! grazie per la domanda. La risposta è che non ho ancora imparato bene i termini tecnici della maglia in italiano. Ho imparato la maggior parte delle cose che so esclusivamente in inglese, sia tramite schemi sia guardando video youtube e tutorials di altre persone. Per questo penso che non mi sentirei molto a mio agio a parlare di maglia in italiano quanto lo sono parlandone in inglese (soprattutto davanti una videocamera). E penso che questa sia la motivazione principale anche delle altre persone che hai menzionato!! Penso che la maggior parte di noi si sia avvicinata a questo mondo tramite il web, quindi la scelta della lingua inglese è semplicemente quella che ci è venuta più naturale. (nel mio caso è anche un modo per fare pratica a parlare in inglese dato che lo uso per i miei studi)
      spero di averti risposto
