I like the way you figure things out and manufacture /alter etc to make things work. I was laughing because I am the same way. I was a mobile truck mechanic for years and when it's only yourself in the middle of nowhere with a flashlight it's amazing what you can come up with. Great video! I've bought two Chinese carbs...one for an old 250 quadrunner and it ran great right out of the box. So I tried another one for an older KLF 300 and it was not so good. Glad this one worked for you.
It surely works either way, but the throttle shaft bushings will last longer if the return springs are attached to the throttle arm on the same side as the cable. Running from the arm forward to an anchor point. Shaft has a high side load the current way..bushings will wear, become a slight air leak, making idle erratic. Or, maybe it will never matter.
🤣 took long enough for video 🤣 and Rick should have used a very thin skin coat of gasket maker between the gaskets lol, and 1300 + rpm idle yikes and btw Mr Ricky you should be saying always read the instructions 🤣🤣 lol btw hope u been enjoying the pics lol it's Monday and start of 100 degree heat wave woke up to pop up heat thunderstorm ugh gotta go get white paint n primer for above windshield time to go dancing in the rain later

I’ve got a 40$ 2 barrel works great
Quadrajets are excellent carburetors. People just don't like what they can't understand.
