The subtle humor in this video was 👌🏼👌🏼
👍😊
Thank you SO much!!! I thought I ordered the wrong size. Raising the suspension saved me. This was my first time replacing the sway bar link and you saved me.
awesome! 👍😊
“Last thing You want to do on a clear sunny day is to die” 🤣🤣 but very informative and direct 👍🏾 this a good one
Instant sub for that right there, happy labor day.
🤣
Haha! :D
Hilarious 😆
😂😂😂😂
Thank you! Couldn't find out why my stabilizer won't fit and was "too big". Found your video and was lucky enough that I had two jacks and could rise the suspension, excellent 🤗
After twenty or so videos, this video is THE BEST!
I’m still gonna pay my mechanic to do it. But as someone who has never worked on my vehicles, these videos help me to understand the issue! Thanks for the video, it was really straight forward.
what a nice way to say youre lazy
@@sly8108or that I’m simply a female who was never taught mechanics nor have the tools to do the job myself?
If I do the job wrong whilst learning, it will cost a lot more to fix my mistake. My mechanic has over 20 years experience.
@@sly8108if he has the means then more power to him
Waste of money. My moms car had a clunking noise, come to find its missing the lower bolt on the sway bar link, ordered a new one and the hardest part was realizing I didn’t need to fit an impact gun in there or take the wheel off. Got the new one installed without removing the seized on wheel and didn’t use power tools
Thanks. That idea of lifting up the suspension might just do it. I've been levering the stabiliser bar down to get the new connector in with no luck.
10 mins later...YUP! Bottle Jack under the hub doodad, that did it! THANK YOU BIGTIME from France.
I just bought a nice 3 ton low profile floor jack to replace my leaky 2-1/4 ton jack. I was going to gift/sell it, but already I've found two uses for it. One of them is this! I also recall using the jack to align the suspension when swapping out a broken control arm TWICE (both on Kia vehicles).
Nothing better than giving a second life to a tool .💪💪
This guy needs to run for president
😂😊
Your presentation is detailed and so clear. Thank you.
excellent idea of having the jack available for adjustment - thank you!
Perfect instructor!
thanks 😊👍
This was the best tutorial I've ever seen. It's exactly what I thought I would need to do but extra piece of mind knowing that it is the easy way to do it and the subtle humor had me watch the whole video instead of just skipping to the part that confirms using a jack to lift the suspension is the easiest way to remove the old and install the new 😆
Your clear and accurate video showed me how to change my own front sway bars links on my 2013 Explorer and saved me $80 .........although it took me about 3.5 hours.....thanks. I guess in your next video, you'll show us how to replace broken or short wheels studs like the ones u have.....lol.
I didn't take the time to look into this. I was at auto shop. They showed me the problem. I said go ahead. Little did I know that these things cost around $20 each. They charged me $95 each! Talk about getting fkd over! Next time I'll do some research BEFORE I say ok to repair work!
Total cost was $306
Thank You for Your video. All the other videos just showed taking it off. I was like I know I’m not crazy because the bar was the same size. Raising the suspension up did the trick. Thank You Again
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. Both mine and my daughter’s cars need to have ours replaced. Now I know what has to be done!!!
Yss I am super strong kind sir. I am glad someone noticed.
Thank you for keeping beginner DIYers safe by including the e brake and wheel chocks as part of the steps 🫡
Good video … especially on a sunny day … we don’t want to die! LOL.

My Dad thought me to put the Wheel under The Vehicle when working on truck it can save lives ❤
😊👍❤
Great video thank you for the help got the job done
Glad it helped👍😊❤
If you're having issues with newer models (I have an 2013 Toyota Corolla) due to the way the bottom assembly is structured I was able to remove the bottom link(nut) by angling my own "breaker bar" like he made in this video and then going clockwise to break and unscrew the nut. I still had some difficulty removing the nut due to the limited opening however, it's possible. YOU CAN DO IT 👍🏿 just say a prayer😁 (I really did).
Awesome tip!!👍💪😁
@@StatUpBox can I change mine without removing tires
What were the torque specifications for your Link Rod nut?
@@djmobn no its gotta come off just use a 4 way or breaker bar
Just saying missing lugnuts creates enough weight imbalance to vibrates wheel and cause bushings and links to wear faster
all the lug nuts were there, just 2 of them were black and blended in with the color of the wheel.
@@32VInTechV8looks like he has 4/5 studs to me
It is good
Thank ❤
your welcome 😊👍
Very clean job.
How about a 2007 automatic Toyota matrix 1.8L ?
Some times you have to cut the link out if the nuts are rusted extensively and you don't have a back nut. The Allen wrench will just strip when you try to turn the nut. It's much easier if you are replacing the strut at the same time.

🎉🎉
I've always put a tyre under the car when doing these jobs thought I was the only one haha
I wish I could fit in impact gun for the bottom one. Right angle impact?
So the swaybar links are not supposed to pivot??? Damn I didn’t know that here I am adjusting my coil over height up and down trying to fix the issue when the issue is the friggin swaybar links are busted. Is it still OK to drive for a fewdays if it pivots like that, of course, have it bolted in as usual?
When Replacing The Sway bar links do i need an Alignment Afterwards?
www.google.com/search?q=sway+bar+link+need+alignment&rlz=1C1ONGR_enUS1014US1014&oq=sway+bar+link+need+alignment&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIKCAEQIRgWGB0YHtIBCDY3MDNqMGo3qAIAsAIA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
what symptoms did your car show with that defective link?
That’s MOOG parts , how long does it last .
Please make one for cv boot repair
Always replace both sides together and if you jack up both ends you won’t have the suspension issue.
Sway bar links that doesn't come with a hex insert or a nut behind is the worst. U can turn a 3hr job into a 2days job
Use a Sawzall or a grinder to cut the threaded stems and then take it off. Few minutes tops.
If you plan on keeping the car for a while be sure to purchase replacement links with back nuts. Allen hex holders are worthless in removing since the nut is likely so rusted the Allen wrench will just strip.
I love when "mechanics" videos shown are in states that obviously has now road salt from the freezing weather, how about doing videos where every f ing thing is rusted to $h!t !
Who told you to live where u do it ain’t his fault he don’t live where u do it’s actually a really good video
Lmao 🤣 🤣 I feel your pain. MN
😂😂
I agree …..rust belt native😂😂😂
I agree …..rust belt native😂😂😂
What if it’s seems too long
No one's going to point out that this wheel was held on with three bolts 🤣🤣🤣
Is it possible to install stabilizer links upside down?
Kindly someone please tell me the length of this rod.
It depends on your year, make and model of vehicle.
Any advise for when it starts free spinning when I try to take the nut off??? 😳
did you place the wrench on the back, and laid it against the top body ? is it the same size?
@@StatUpBox I ended up cutting it off, there's nothing to grab on the back side as it appears to be a ball in a socket.
O==[]
this is my best visual representation
here at the statupbox team we salute you! you are DIY veteran. yes, that is one option, at the end you are not going to use the old part again, unless for a trophy, for the day you showed it who is the boss!!! 💪😎👍😂❤
Definitely you don’t want to die…
@1:27 One of these things is not like the others(well two actually but one of them is more unlike the others than the other unlike one).
A good riddle is always welcome.
Yes we don't want to die lol
😂🤣
Not surprised broken ones are moog
@justsayno at one point moog was great but now its a roll of the dice. Some are even made in China
All or most vehicles install the same way?
You said if your parking brake is a hand lever to pick it up... MY HAND LEVER ONLY PULLS BACK!!!! WHAT DO I DOOO 😱
😱😱🤣😂
looks like your missing a few lug nuts there buddy.
It would not be so easy to remove the nuts if you car is old and the nuts are all rusted, and your sway bars do not have a hex nut in the back, but a useless hex hole in the front. Cutting the nuts would be the only option in that case.
yeah unfortunately i had to deal with this yesterday and spent an hour trying to cut the things off
After changing the sway bar do we have to go for allienment
Generally speaking, an adjustment should be made anytime the suspension is modified.
That's the sway bar drop links
hey those lug studs arent that hard to replace haha
Just paid 1400 to get this done smh
Did you go to a dealer?
