Those bits on his shoulders are actually not missiles, they're drop tanks, which are fuel tanks meant to extend a vehicles maximum range. They're called "drop tanks" because they'd normally be detatched when empty, letting them be discarded so it doesn't keep the added drag
@@autobotzapof0002 it depends, normally they're dumped when over the ocean before returning to a carrier to land, it can be a hazard to the landing strip and the pilot
I never knew this toy existed. It looks fantastic! 07 Toys have the perfect aesthetic imo. Crossing over from Cybertron to the new era was such a cool transistional period. I wish I had more 07 toys as a kid.
i always loved the blackout movie design,i do wish if we can get such a solid bayverse scenes like his Qatar attack scene, and i do like this mold with this color scheme,in my opinion that color scheme works pretty well for a SG blackout, and love that lego city reference at the start
Gosh dang, that video title and intro are like perfectly on point. Also, this guy is based on the Transformers Cybertron character, which is awesome. The movie tie in stuff was all kinds of multi generation homages.
I think this is missed occasionally but this Evac is actually a nod to Cybertron Evac (both being orange Helicopters and even having the same propeller gimmick). I love the design of this figure and will probably pick this up again when I have a chance
Didn't know this repaint existed. Nice call back to Cybertron Evac. Always loved the original release, and the spinning function was smooth for as old as the toy was. Also articulated waist, and functional rescue line made it one of the best voyagers of that era. Movie Blackout however had basically every problem as this release and was way undersized in 2007. Never liked the spinning function and removed the inner gears to give it a smoother free spinning function instead. More fun to play with at that time lol. Great work with the intro.
I'm experiencing movie figures vicariously through you I've never like any of the live action movies and I hate the astestic but it is still kinda interesting to see the figures and what they're like for some reason
I think I would actually prefer him more if he still had the Blackout or a Blackout-esk head, make him look really menacing and alien but he's actually a really sweet dude, aside from that yeah I love him, I hope we get a SS version some day
Becareful of the small tabs used for the arms during transformation. Mine broke when I was a kid and i didn't put much pressure on them. Also if you push the heel far enough down so it's in line with the leg itself it'll give him more stability and allows for that panel to be closed back up
I might sound stupid for saying this but I don't think the ss mold would work for an evac because imo it only worked because of the inaccuracies which made him seem like his own character
I never even knew THIS existed until JUST NOW!😲 I'm NOT a Movieverse fan AT ALL, but I'd enjoy this figure in my collection, for sure... The Grindor mold would be a good option for this guy. I need to see the OTHER version you mentioned, because I think ONE of them is going on my hunt list.
I had this figure as a kid and neither Me or my mom knew how to transform him. That, and he alway fell apart. So I have to agree with you when you say you want to see redecos like him in the studio series line
Oh my god, I remember when the first movie came out, I got this guy, and the back cage wouldn't stay shut, and my mom returned it cuz it didn't, I can't remember whether I was on board with that, and then I got incinerator instead, and the inevitable nonesense happened with him that happens on every copy where his hand rotors stopped spinning, and we returned him too, and I waited until rotf to get transformers stuff again.
Honestly, as a mostly G1 CHUG collector I would be soo much more into Studio Series if it brought back all of the fun, and wacky repaints of existing characters as well as all the toy only characters that used to fill out the ranks of the past film toylines. Where is my Studio Series Nightwatch Optimus Prime, Landmine, ROTF Dead End, Blazing Fallen, Darksteel, Ransack, Towline, Stockade, 07' Dropkick, Dreadwind, 07' Evac AND MOST IMPORTANTLY OF ALL....... *MY BOYS INCINERATOR AND ROTF THRUST!*
With the missiles... I'd just consider them as quick-release emergency floatation devices, able to be dropped at a moments notice to anyone that is in the sea and can't be gotten to immediately, to help them avoid sinking. :-)
Fun fact : Evac is actually in canon I think an Autobot that takes up the form of the ride car in the transformers 3D ride at universal studios they even have retail exclusive figures of him as I own one and it’s not that bad looks more like a cybertronian vehicle ngl
HEY.....yeah i like movie toy repaints sadly though every single one ive ever gotten seems to break on me (rip gears)....i do like that paint job though so i might have to take a chance and grab an evac....unless a third party company makes an evac head for the studio series....then i might have to buy and paint one lol

But when do they pick them back up? Isn’t that just gonna add to the waste in our national forests?

Sounds good, but I bet on a transformer, they're probably missiles or lasers. :D

Inaccurate, you picked longarm for the intro. Everyone knows how he was in the 2007 olypics for men swimming, and how he won gold.
Unfortunately mine's missing an arm so he can't swim anymore

When I was a kid I had this guy and I was so sad I lost him, still miss him to this day 😭
Thanks for the nostalgia tho 🥹
Great video and review! The 2007 blackout mold is, well, decent. Also I 100% agree on bringing back custom paint schemes
That intro was absolute G O L D
I thought the intro was an ad for a second, made me chuckle when I realized the joke
I think this is missed occasionally but this Evac is actually a nod to Cybertron Evac (both being orange Helicopters and even having the same propeller gimmick). I love the design of this figure and will probably pick this up again when I have a chance
I remember getting this guy for my birthday one year.
Not a great mold, but I still remember it fondly.
I love this color scheme and I will search the other repaint based from this Evac's figure which it is Whirl in ROTF toyline
Tis is a VERY GOOD repaint/remold. Way better looking than the OG '07 Blackout.
Oh , i have that thundercraker from dotm, its such a fun figure

This is by far your best intro ever
That into is amazing. And I love this figure ever since I got it as a child, poor thing I’m missing so many of his pieces 🥲

I love this figure. Mines currently barely hanging together and had one propeller. Great review.
"It's trying its best and it has automorph."
Relatable.
THAT INTRO THO 🤣🤣
Love that"a man fallen into to river" meme back there
I love that callback to the lego city meme
I think I would actually prefer him more if he still had the Blackout or a Blackout-esk head, make him look really menacing and alien but he's actually a really sweet dude, aside from that yeah I love him, I hope we get a SS version some day
Nah that intro was GODLIKE
Excellent recreation of the rescue helicopter commercial
Bro the intros just keep getting better
Cool I always wanted this guy back then. Later on I got a hold of his repaint I believe it was whirl

Laughed at the beginning🤣

I feel that the mold fits him better than Blackout himself lol. Anyways, great review and that intro was hilarious!
Lego Blackout color is absolutely fire
Did you know the lego city commercial guy is agent 47 from Hitman?
THE BEST INTRO EVER!🤣🤣🤣
i am happy that evac got to be in lines after tf cybertron because he was a fun character in cybertron

the intro was golden top tier 10/10 for me
As a huge Longarm fan, I'm offended by that intro XD
Intro was funny 😂
10 OUTTA 10 INTRO SKIT
His face sculpt kinda gives me Donkey Kong in mech suit vibes.
i never found this guy in stores. i still want him
I had this figure as a kid and neither
Me or my mom knew how to transform him. That, and he alway fell apart. So I have to agree with you when you say you want to see redecos like him in the studio series line
I got this guy the Easter after the movie and I always found his gun thing weird as well. Kinda wish I wasn’t so rough with my boys back then.

Love the intro lol
It boggles my mind that Studio Series Selects isn't a thing. There's so many awesome molds to redeco.
Banger intro
The waist and the backpack do lock in you just need to not be afraid of it

I kinda want to get the Whirl version of this mold. Looks fun
Imagine how much money Hasbro would make if they remade the old movie redecos like deadend, payload, thundercracker , skywarp
I am hoping to find this at tfcon toronto this year! I really do want this guy in my collection! He is amazing!
With the missiles... I'd just consider them as quick-release emergency floatation devices, able to be dropped at a moments notice to anyone that is in the sea and can't be gotten to immediately, to help them avoid sinking. :-)
Or extra fuel tanks
They’re fuel tanks, not missiles. Missiles would have fins
LOL
now I wanna get a 3D printer and two Studio Series Grindors for a custom Evac.
We need an MPM Evac repaint/remold of the new MPM Blackout coming out.

Its a fun figure.
Imagine these decos from the 2007,rotf and dotm coming back into studio series
I wish that. Especially the drones from Transformers the game like Dropkick, Salvage, Overcast, Dreadwing, Payload and Shockwave triple changer ❤❤
This figure just makes me want to see some propper CHUG Rescue Bots... maybe Legacy?
Boy... Do I have news for you.
I think the missiles you are referring to are gas tanks. Maybe that will help maintain the rescue motif
Evac reminds me of Rescue Bots Blades
Hahaha Lego City commercial parody
Blades before Rescue Bots
You see Orange Blackout
I see… SGBlackout
Kinda reminds me of blades from transformers rescue bots
I look good in every color

I think the tailof the copter should tab into place in robot mode. Try removing theweapon and pressing a bit harder.
The two multi says all spark blue matches well with are both helicopters
I bougth this toy a week ago and i can say that he kinda looks like blades from tf rescue bots
0:06 I love Lego.

I had no idea there was an Orange Helicopter! I’d love to get ahold of this, any other tips on Orange and Black Transformers to get?
Hehe rainbow wave
Sheesh $45 I woulda kept looking. Or it had to of been MiB.
It was mint in box and 45 CAD
What stand do you use for your figures?
Do you have MP-48 Lio Convoy? ALSO DO MORE ARMADA
Hasbro. Release a Studio Series Leader Evac remold/redeco, you cowards!
Can the gimmick be left off in robot mode?
I actually owned this one
This is a little off topic but am i the only person that loves RID2015?
I prefer the Cybertron evac with the best helicopter mode I've seen
I think they have a another one name wurr
Mpm Evac confirmed
Did I spot an SS ThunderCracker?
*L E G O*
A man has fallen into a river
A movie figure....with minicon on pegs
Looks like a movie color of rescue not blades
bruh, the intro was funny as hell
Better be careful with Lego, they love to sue people when they talk about Lego but it's not Lego in the video greetings from Germany
Man, movieverse Blades looks weird.
Ngl after seeimg the mpm thid guy would look weird....
