blackout has probably my favorite design in animated, the way they took such a complicated designed and turned into something so simple yet still iconic
if they ever make a legacy figure of animated blackout, they should make it titan class to scale with other figures because of how huge he was in the show. i know thats quite a stretch, but it would be the appropriate scale for the character.
@@devilwithin1738 oh yeah i know, look up siege jetfire compared to voyager optimus, a titan of blackout would be interesting tho, and i could see him as a titan if he transforms into a big spaceship.
You know how Hasbro gave us that 2 pack for tfprime that had the jet vehicon and breakdown (both of which were only available in Japan)? Wouldn’t it be amazing if they did that again but with this blackout?
@@EternityKingdomsHeadHoncho I so want a non-metallic version of the Jet Bumblebee core figure. He'd fit so well scalewise with the other togs over the oversized deluxe.
looks cool, I really like how they translated the iconic movie design into Animated, I only have scout class and Studio Series Blackout, was my fave Decepticon in the movie
Excellent review That Toy Guy!!! I think its a shame that Hasbro has never even considered releasing Animated Blackout, even as a commemorative figure celebrating the Animated franchise. If I had to choose a modern day Animated figure to get released, I'd choose a commander class sized figure of Lugnut. :D Keep on being amazing.
@@fennekin1750This toy is a Voyager Class figure. I own one and if it had been released in the US it would have retailed for about $20 US dollars back when Animated was still in retail.
The intro was perfect. The Blackout figure looks super good design wise, but as a toy? It’s meh. I’d love to get it but it mostly depends on if you want the whole lineup or not.
I asked a member of the Transformers brand team at a Hasbro Pulse fan panel last year if Blackout and the other cancelled Animated toys could be re-released as a vintage line, and they said to stay tuned.
I used to have Animated Blackout (the Takara version) and it was a pretty fun toy. I had no issues with it at all, although I sold it to make room in my collection. However, I'm still hopeful that Hasbro will re-release their version and the other cancelled Animated toys as a vintage line, like G1 and Beast Wars' toylines. A legacy commander class Animated Blackout sounds interesting too.
0:19 Heyy, thats cool you've got some Ninjago stuff! I'm a big fan of the show. Also this TFA Blackout actually looks REALLY cool! mainly the design but actual fig too, the helocopter mode is really Sick! I really like how Blackout looked ("for about 5 seconds", lol) in TFA ALOT more than his Bayverse design, hope if Hasbro makes a new Legacy Blackout, they base it off of the TFA design!
This is unrelated to this vid, but I did something to extend the KingRise Optimus Prime mold's gun & I wanted to share. Basically if you use the smallest, grey gun attachment (the one with 5-mil peg on 1 end & I think 3-mil on the other end) that came with Red Cog, & attach it to the end of the Ion Blaster, you get a longer Ion Blaster for your KingRise Prime mold (normal retail, SG, Dead/"Aternate Universe", etc, doesn't matter). Also, BB Legacy Silverstreak is a great figure cuz he could obviously be used as a blue Bluestreak or his own character (Silverstreak), but did you know you could use him as TFP Smokescreen? cuz his colors are VERY similar to the colors TFP Smokescreen had in S3 Beast Hunters. Just sharing things I discovered/realized :)
Do you mean barricade or breakdown? Because breakdown wasn't in the Bayverse movies only supplimentary material. As for blackout... the opening scene of the first TF movie is a cinematic masterpiece imo, not to mention his bad ass design, he was bound to become a fan favorite
I'm so happy I got it before it was announced that he was cancelled and he fits well with the Hasbro Animated toys because he has minimal metallic paint.
I don’t know why but I totally thought this guys name was brawn but I’m definitely mixing that up with a 2009 ish hunt for the decepticons(?) truck guy. NOT EVEN THE SAME SERIES
I would actually like to see this in legacy! Never saw animated but I like blackout and this design is nice. Also do you have the studio series version?
I swear i saw one of these once on the house of a cousin , a shame that when i asked if they still had it the answer was No bc their dog chewed it . Also the only figure that i have from this show is a blurr , i like him a lot
If I ever get my hands on of those I’m scanning it for 3d printing and posting it so other people can check it out, not gonna happen cause I’m never gonna pay more than 10 (maybe 15) bucks for a deluxe from 2009
I’ve always wanted this figure, despite it not even being a great figure. The design is just that cool! I dearly hope a 3rd party company makes one, because I dislike legacy a lot and how they’re redesigning everything, and he needs to be properly big and wayyy more articulated.
Lol. My parents bought me this guy for around $100 at cybefest 2 years ago. His box isn’t in the greatest condition anymore and the toy loves to fall apart on me. Hes currently missing one of his shoulder guns, I know it’s in one of the boxes of stuff I have. This guy is weird for sure, the arms are really awkward to me. The legs are fine but since he doesn’t have ankle joints you can’t use any of his leg movement. Just sits on my self being absolutely dwarfed by animated Megatron. Can we just mention the scale of the animated figures, it’s all over the place.
currently i only have animated lockdown and damn i love him only complaint is hes missing a peg so the rear of the vehicle is a bit open when in car mode but yeah hoping they will do a legacy version of him lol
Oh animated Blackout how I messed out on buying you back then 2007 or so here in the Philippines, as well as animated voyager Thundercracker I really saw you all one moment and now it is 2023 and me and some of us here I am sure are regretting it... such is life however... *looks over to the horizon wallowing in regret* sigh
kind of an odd promo but i have an animated jazz which has no loose parts the only thing missing is exhausts that turn into nunchucks. if you want it let me know
