I remember watching The Last Knight and absolutely hating it. Which sucks because I have a soft spot for the prior films, sure they aren't cinematic masterpieces, but they were good movies for the time. I will say they when it comes to the figures that I stopped collecting for a while, mostly because of price and availability. When The Last Knight came out, I had actually purchased the most voyager class figures in years at the time. I had picked up prime, megs, scorn, and hound. In my opinion these were all really great releases, especially megatron, I was truly impressed by this guy and am proud to still own him to this day. Such a fun transformer, I just wish hasbro would constantly put out great quality transformers like megatron here.
I fell in love with the figure as soon as I got him out of the box. He's just so fun to pose and transform. Definitely in my top 10 all time favorite Transformers figures
the official leader class has a very cool battle mask gimmick where the mouth part rotates to give him the mask and the side bits of his head move as well, he also has huge 5mm compatible flame effects and a cool transformation, though he has his wings on his back as a sort of cape. Both are very good toys
Indeed one of the best Megs design ever. That voyager is just awesome. I wonder how a SS would improve on this? I also have the Unique Toys Dragoon. A beauty.
Him and SS Thundercraker were my purchase on the final sale day when TRU shut down here in Australia, and I love him he was my stand-in for Megatron then Jhiaxus, before their figures came out. My only complaint with him is he really needs arm covers, hope he gets a SS rerelease so someone might make some.
You can't even be mad about the legs considering what they had to do to get to the jet mode, which is brilliant. It's like the RTS Lugnut where his arms become wings.
I was just saying on Reddit the other day that I want this figure redone in Studio Series, but with some minor upgrades (sword wrists, thicker tabs) and some minor deco improvements.
I got this Voyager back in 2017, as a college freshman I didn't have a lot of cash to fork over to buy Transformers figures but I saved up for this one because I loved the TLK Megatron and the Voyager figure is basically an action figure- it has the articulation, sculpt and even accessory of an action figure, and the transformation is so fun I used to always do it bac and forth just for keeping myself busy.
I just got this figure only 2 days ago, love him! Head on mine is a bit loose, other than that, he's great! Probably my favorite Megatron design, it's 2007 Megatron+AoE Galvatron+A Knight+ G1 Inspiration. Plus, I love Transformers The Last Knight, so that just adds to this.
Been playing with this guy for a little over a week now and I have to say, I think it's one of my favorite transformers I own. I can't put my finger on exactly what it is that I like so much, but ahh he just looks and feels so good to handle and play with.
I bought this in 0218 in Dubai cuz I went there and also I live in Romania so yes... But 4 years later, I still have this and I am holding it in my hands while watching the video, and it's just amazing and so sad that figures from today are not like this anymore. (this and tlk voyager prime really need SS variants tho) that and just saying that you are a great toy reviewer and I am getting MPM 12 because of you (Iwould have gotten challenger anyways) but both of them will arive next month so they will not be in time for my birthday but I won't be home then anyways. keep up the great work, man :D
The sword that the toy comes with is actually cast in orange clear plastic, with silver grey painted over. If you shine a light through it you can see the orange bleeding through which makes for a cool effect.
Just ordered this on eBay for $30 because of your review. I had the leader class but the cannon on the arm and gorilla arm always bugged me. This guy is what I wish I had in that fig, love the design too
i got mine when i was young ( not telling how young cuz there are some sketchy people out there) but it was really good i have since broken off the side skirts the sword handle and the side tusk thing and it still looks really good in poses so that just goes to show how good this figure is
I found this guy at TK Maxx for like £10, which was a nice surprise! I'd say this figure has the better robot, the leader has the better jet. I customised my version of this figure, maybe I can drop it in the comments of one of your posts on Twitter!
Agree it's genuinely still a great figure. I also agree that it could certainly receive some improvements in the modern era. Mostly proportions and details.
I got the KO sirtoys version and it came in last night. I have the leader and it so far out does the leader figure in just about everything. Probably my favorite figures from my little haul, And I got both versions of the BBM ss prime
My dog chewed the top of the jet and part of the leg, but it's still a great toy, and some of the metal pins got rusty gut this figure still has held up great
One of my favorite Megs designs period. Shame he was in such a terrible movie. I believe when I got mine online he was only available as a wave with Optimus. But that's fine cause I wanted the rivals anyway.
I really want a studio series TLK Barricade also. That is hands down the best bayverse design and while I love the 2017 figure it really needs an upgrade
I have this figure and I love playing with it, the joints are still tight, but maybe a little too tight. Because on mine, the nose cone broke off, and I don't know why, either because of the hinge joint or the friction between the nose cone and cockpit was too much that it snapped off.
I didn't know about this toy and it is a very cool design. I'll see if I can pick it up, one nitpick is that in vehicle mode the reverse thrusters would look cooler if they were facing the opposite direction (IMO).
Bro, what? Pretty much all ss voyagers have ankle pivot, and waist swivel, and many of them do have wrist swivel. I think you're confusing the voyagers for the deluxe class figures, considering they don't really have ankle pivot, waist swivel, or wrist swivels.
I was reluctant to say this design was good because I don't like the Knight theme but this megatron is cool af. I think the only design I prefer is his dark of the moon one (I like that he's a truck and has his battle damage from rotf)
@@Tom-oz7wk Revenge of the fallen and dark of the Moon had some really good designs as well. Nothing against the first movie design (Still like that one a lot) it’s just those other two are so much cooler.
@@THANATOS-PRIME agreed, the first one is cool but by no means the best. I like how his repaired body in rotf was supposed to make him a powerhouse but actually hindered his battling instead. Like how he's not fully able to use his fusion cannon because it's a giant lobster claw and it's too heavy to have full control over
For me TLK voyager megatron is much better than leader class, the reason i don't like leader class one because how the arms design, only thing voyager class missing is the mask,i really like TLK megatron it feel powerful also it suit the character, maybe one day ss will get another TLK megatron but i still think TLK voyager megatron already good enough.
im curious whats the logic behind moving the figure to "not degrade the joints"? as that is exactly what you are doing to a ball joint or friction joint by moving them is degrading it
Leaving them standing there for ages causes the joints to stick, when you then go to move it after like a year you always hear that click noise of the joint getting unstuck and in my experience the joints are then loose after that
that's weird i've never experienced that i might have to go move some of my old MV1 and RotF figures that have been in storage for the last few years to see if i hear anything
”The end is near, my old treacherous friend. What a shame, you’ll be unable to see it”.

Can definitely agree with your sentiment. TF5 was such a disappointment, even tho the others weren't GREAT, they were enjoyable as TF fans.
@@tommytsunamy7319they were pretty great
This is one of my top Megatron's during the film toylines, actually it is my favorite
I fell in love with the figure as soon as I got him out of the box. He's just so fun to pose and transform. Definitely in my top 10 all time favorite Transformers figures
He needs Sword wrists more than A waist Swivel
Oh hello there, didn’t expect to see you.
He needs both. That needs to be a standard
you're in every Transformers comment section HOW!?!?!?!?
That's something the leader has. No waist, though.
He has his sword

The only way it can get better is if they somehow find a way to give him the masked head.

Tru are still open I thought?

That Lockbot3DP sword is awesome, good to see his work in a video
It's an axe

You can't even be mad about the legs considering what they had to do to get to the jet mode, which is brilliant. It's like the RTS Lugnut where his arms become wings.
Funny enough, I used TLK Megatron as a base for a custom Bayverse Cyclonus and it works perfectly imo
“Cade Yeager, we need that talasment!”
I was just saying on Reddit the other day that I want this figure redone in Studio Series, but with some minor upgrades (sword wrists, thicker tabs) and some minor deco improvements.
Loved this toy from day one. Definitely in my Top 3 Megatrons of all time
Finally. A video not made for adult collectors
This figure got me into collecting. I bought it at Universal Studios when my ex took me for my birthday. Thousands of dollars later in 2022…..
Still one of my all-time fave Megatron figures
The figure is fairly bad since it has almost no articulation but the design is perfect

Got the upscale ko of this mold. Damn good figure and design.
This is now officially on my Christmas list
The sword that the toy comes with is actually cast in orange clear plastic, with silver grey painted over. If you shine a light through it you can see the orange bleeding through which makes for a cool effect.
It's am axe not a sword
The sword is an Ikakalaka, a kind of sword from the Western part of the Congo and Central Africa region
I once saw one of these at a Tuesday Morning! Wish I got it.

Maybe like a concept version of tlk megatron but with a dragon mode
That toy guy: talks about joint quality "after all these years"
Me: laughs in early noughties and late 90s
I really like this design. It somehow reminds me of those baddie robots you get to see in super robot animes. It's cool and mean.

I just got the star saber and sky boom shield from that same seller, wish I had held off to save money but I’m also very happy with what I got!
Thanks for the purchase! Glad to be of service! 😊
I liked this figure so much that I even got the upscaled die cast KO
Agree it's genuinely still a great figure. I also agree that it could certainly receive some improvements in the modern era. Mostly proportions and details.
It literally took me 2 years to ever see this in person after it came out. I ended up just buying the leader

I got this for $15 yesterday, missing the sword but that price was unbeatable.

Love your channel. Man is that thing hideous.
Agreed. I got him on sale and repurposed and repainted him into Thunderwing.
I remember back in 2019 when I found this hiding in the back of shelves in a mall for 700 pesos hehe.
Great video and review! I never cared for this design. I prefer the first three Megatron designs
I got the Aoyi Deformation one. The die cast metal helped in his stability but sadly there's no light pipping ;(
I had this but I broke nice video
A shame
Sad
Both The Last Knight Optimus Prime and Megatron Has the Most Amazing Designs!
I got mine on clearance at Wally world!
With a pair of horns and a bit of purple tint he could make a Great movie CYCLONUS
I’d imagine a Studio Series TLK Megatron as a retool of this Megatron.
I custom painted mine all black with the red face mark and it makes him look so much better. Never liked the gold color
You should get the weijang version he has the battle mask face
I know, I state in the video that a ko with the mask exists but I'm not getting it
One of my favorite figures is an upscale version of the voyager
I really want a studio series TLK Barricade also. That is hands down the best bayverse design and while I love the 2017 figure it really needs an upgrade
There is not a single tlk voyager that is not a banger asside from grimlock, but this figure, this one has to be the best
also will buy this knight megatron
Nice Review
Ah yes, the best bayverse Megatron design.
Protip, you can get an upgrade head off eBay for this figure that has the battlemask.
You should get the toys R us exclusive Skullitron and maybe the Megatron even though it doesn't look good.

They aren't thrusters. My specialty is tanks, but I know enough about aircraft to know that those aren't thrusters.
I bought it For $50 Sealed and It's Such an Improvement on My Previous Megatron (ss54, Which I sold Off For Way too Little)
At 2:25 he said gyat!
I wish they gave the last knight voyager megatron the battle mask gimmick like his leader class counterpart
Mines Missing the front hip skirts is there an easy upgrade or replacement I could get?
I have a signed Frank Welker Voyager Megs.
Its definitely the best megatron design ever. A shame this toy has zero articulation though.
Love the axe
I would like to get the figure but I feel like the fusion canon is a little small.
Did you paint his face to make more how it look like in the movie cause he had that red mark
This is the best bay megatron design BECAIAW IT HAS THE GOD DAM FUSION CANNON
If the last knight was ment to be 3 hours long, I kinda want to see what was cut
i customized mine to be an aligned continuity fallen colors arent too different though tbh
"I sont understand what was going through their heads wheb making that movie" me: drugs and alcohol clearly.
