I prefer the AOE one just because of the ungodly amount of accessories he has. I love it. I hope when we get the studio series one he comes with a million accessories.
I will concede that the TLK one does look way better than the AOE one.

studio series always cheaps out on acessories.
The Takara Version of this sculpt has some more paint aps, A truck bed (making him more movie accurate) and all the accessories from the AOE toy. I think it is one of the best and most accurate Hound figures we will get until a studio series comes along.
I’m convinced hasbro is doing everything in their power to avoid making the aoe/tlk designs. It’s gotten to the point that they’re gonna start making figures based on concept art. CONCEPT ART. I’m getting tired of this
tbf AOE/TLK design was engineering hell. We lucky we saw some AOE such as grimlock, stinger, they almost good, but galvatron is, well..I don't blame them
Man, I remember buying the figure when I started collecting after watching Jobby’s review of it and how great it was. The transformation of the back wings was a bit of a pain but otherwise, few regrets
The takara version of this with the extra shield/truckbed (?) and all the accessories from the 2014 toy (which he has dedicated storage spaces for!) is really nice.
Early SS treated the TLK figures as those characters done and they’re just now getting around to updating them to the current standard
My biggest issue with studio series right now is just the complete lack of bayverse characters recently, mostly the aoe and tlk ones. The fact that we’re getting concept characters for the bee movie that didn’t actually exist in the movie before the bayverse stuff is even close to completion is really annoying

And the fact that the latest one is a core class really show that Hasbro doesn't think Bayverse has worth anymore. I think Mohawk was shoved into the Core Class to fill up the slot for the first wave of Core Class in 2024. And there's no other Bayverse figure that goes with him or just a Bayverse figure to complete one movie since there's no chance of the other to complete. We just need Que and Hatchet to complete the DoTM cast. Devcon is mostly a background scenery so they can take their time considering making him and Loader. But Hatchet and Que are literally characters with some type of screen time.

It's like Hasbro thinks because a small majorty with a big voice of the internet shit on the Bayverse, they think Bay SS figs won't sell well (which just like the bayfilms, they sell like hotcakes).
But clearly this "G1 Good" mentality is shelvewarming every toy store with the same Cliffjumper, Rhinox and Junkions over and over
I hope the studio series ones whenever they happen maintain the consistent panda bear shape, I could see the designers wedging him into a leader class release to fill out the transformation and add accessories like Primal
I hope he is a leader class. Would give us all the weapons he used in the movie. If we get a voyager he is not going to be fat enough

I do hope for a Studio Series Hound from both Age of Extinction and Last Knight. Leaning more towards an AoE because my dad was one of the main engineers that helped design and build the vehicle used.
Surprisingly involved for a TF5 movie toy. Between the two I like the weapons assortment better on the original but the execution as a whole is so much better with second one. Don't own either at the moment so guess I'll hold out till the inevitable SS release. This will always be live action Bulkhead to me.
Honestly the AOE and TLK toy lines were really a hit or miss. Some of them were good enough to be re released for Studio series with just minor changes, like evasion mode Optimus, and some were just so bad it's hard to believe they are official products
This was my first TLK figure and sadly my only TLK voyager
Also the mini guns look spectacular on SS Starscream
Hounds big fight in AoE is one of the best in the entire Bayverse and you can't change my mind
This guy is an awesome mold. I just got one from a comic book store. For 20 bucks, and he was customized galore with paint! Nice black wash on both modes (even on the guns), gold for the joints and bullets!
The removable helmet was the extra touch

All they need to do with this mold to make it studio series is improve the paint job. I love this figure.

Reall cool figure, he's got a lot of points of articulation even if his scupting does get in the way of posing. Love how the feet\wheels work, definitely my favorite AOE\TLK figure after Evasion Mode Prime.

I still like those guns. The big turret of weapons on the back in vehicle mode is pretty cool. I got both the Age of Extinction & The Last Knight Hounds only for their weapons.
His hat Is removable and there are sculpted dectails under his elmet he also as stabylity problems because of the feet.
I didn't know he had a waist swivel, and I own this figure for almost 6 years now.

Bro, I got this toy back in the day for only about $13, and it is a joy to handle
On that one shot in TLK having the concept Hound design, just incase you or anyone else wasn't aware, there were multiple cuts of that movie in circulation in cinemas around the world. Some versions had alternate scenes, alternate dialogue (which better explained the plot of the film), and alternate voice actors in some minor rolls like Nitro Zeus.
I'm fairly sure it's just a case of Spider-Verse where the movie just wasn't finished, and so they shipped out an early cut of the movie to some international markets in time for the release, meanwhile the US got the mostly finished product. But the insane thing is, all the better dialogue takes and more clear story exposition is in the UNFINISHED version of the film. A version of the film you cannot see unless you manage to track down a camrip of the movie from one of the few countries that was screening it in English.
Absolutely fucking wild.

Hound was everywhere on the shelves, but I still chose Optimus Prime..... which, as I see these reviews of TLK hound further prove how much of mistake that was..
I have the tlk hound and I really like it if there is a studio series one of hound I would probably keep the original tlk hound

I'm really really hoping they make a TLK Optimus Prime/Nemesis Prime Studio Series, but for a much cheaper price than the mainline ones are now. On Amazon, they're like $200 and even on eBay, they're like $100-$200. So I really hope they make another one, kinda similar to the mainline one, but keep it at a consistent semi-cheap price

I honestly don't know what hastak can do to improve this guy other than give it more/better paint apps. Both modes look great and the transformation isn't a pain in the butt.
Hopefully sometime soon he really deserves it for his performance in the movies

I actually have this one but I have absolutely no idea where it is and my best guess requires me to climb over all my empty boxes that have nowhere else to go and I am too much of a hoarder to throw them away, as well as like a fifth of my collection because I've begun running out of space for that too.
A fifth to a third, actually, depending on wether or not I can levitate.
Studio series need to bring that figure like lockdown or galvatron
I feel like it's not out of the question for a studio series Hound to be leader class price point given his potential for accessories, he could be a voyager size and come with a whole arsenal.
I'm sorry, but I won't get any Hound to that's not shaped like Goodman (and the movie character). What's with making all the toys buff? I loved the idea of a big ol' beer bellied transformer. That's one of his defining features - he's a big guy. That's a lot of the charm!
Ironically I would expect a studio series version to have even less paint.

Legacy bulkhead was almost perfect use for studio series hound I think Almost., We still Need A Hound, A decent core class Dark of the moon laserbeak bird mode, Maybe a Ravage too, Studio series Skids, Mudflap Onslaught, Dreadbot, Onslaught be perfect for a voyager. We got a Mohawk Now give us the rest of the decepticons. Oh brand new infernocus would be nice too.. Maybe a Quintessa figure too deluxe size or core.

idk i don’t think he needs a whole new mold i think they could re paint this and it’ll be fine yk for a really bad movie they had some amazing voyager figures like prime megs and hound i still use hound and megs in my display but it would be cool to see a new mold i just wouldn’t get it like crosshairs i think its good he got a new mold and hot rod too
