The TLK mold with the weaponry of his AOE toy would be perfect (but nowadays that would probably cost a leader for some reason)
They did this actually with the short lived Movie the Best line.

Takara made a version of that Hound in The Movie The Best line. It was expensive to say the least.
I have that version of movie the best hound when I lived in Japan at the time. Still have him.
That’s what I’ve done with mine. And for SS I hope Hound is a leader.
Still remember when Weijiang made a KO that was basically changed to the point where it was an original mold.
RIP Weijiang. We should commemorate them every June 23 with a social media post of BA Optimus Prime.

Hasbro needs to stop with legacy and 86 for a bit and get back to studio series without making bumblebee movie figures. We’re missing most of the aoe transformers and all of the tlk transformers. We need knight Optimus prime and tlk megatron ASAP

And we’re still missing bumblebee, bumblebee, car mode drift, megatron, Optimus prime, Optimus prime, nemesis prime, hound, hound, slug, strafe, scorn, nitro Zeus, onslaught, And Mohawk. So it’s not fair. And after they give us those, studio series will be over until more movies get released

@@bigboi4488 I think the tlk one was reissued in a studio series multipack. It's not s new mold but also all the studio series bees have been based on the tlk bee mold so idk the odds of us getting a new one
The weird s-curved forearms are honestly unforgivable to me. They never dont look weird and distracting

I’ve been trying to find the Wei Jiang version of this figure. It made his tires actually form his toes, and more. It was a significant improvement over this and absolutely fits in the MPM line. I’d love to find him to display him with Metagate Haiku and Toyworld Knight Orion.
he's a great fig. I wound up with the desert version and the regular green due to a shipment mistake. Highly recommend hunting him down for a good price
I wish they would start restocking the standalone toys from the movie line. Like Breakaway and Bludgeon

I hope he’s a Leader. Voyager size bot with a Leader budget allowing for lots of guns is a must imo.

I hope they make movie Hound a leader class, he feels like he should be a leader class to help incooperate all of his weapons and be big and bulky, after all, he pretty much the movie verison of Bulkhead just under a different name

I think there was either an upscaled KO or an upgrade kit that added alot to him also he technically has an extra weapon in the plates over his hands
Both. The upgrade came first, then KuBianBao did an oversized KO that includes the kit, resized to match. Similarly, there's KuBianBao's "KBB Tank", a 1:1 KO of Combiner Wars Megatron that includes the Armada Megatron head you can swap (but in G1 Megatron colors and looks strange) AND a KO of the DX9 upgrade kit.

Ha i found what i was thinking of! It was an upscaled KO AOE hound by wei jang that had his cigar and helmet and both were removeable plus he had a more movie accurate design including his big barrel gut

1. Given how Optimus (SS05, SS32, and SS44), SS90 Galvatron, and a couple others turned out...a Studio Series AoE & TLK Hound needs to be the AoE set as a whole & the TLK figure with the AoE guns. (And for AoE, figure out how to get that upgrade kit look as well)
2. I had the Construct-Bots AoE Hound...it was pretty cool for what it was. To me, it made the actual Voyager class figures unnecessary; it was also Voyager sized and substantially cheaper as well (but I got it at Ross for like eight bucks, so that's even less than wtfever it retailed for).
I hope they give us more SS because the ones that came out lately were really good. I hope for some more obscure ones such as the undead knights, knights Op and Megs and more of the ones we are missing. Even a core class Mohawk would be so cool. I still want an SS Nitro Zeus too, maybe one day
The thing is they have the mold for Zeus its just they lost the license to his name so they had to use his ksi colors (in other words plain paint) and call him "ksi boss" it's ss 43 if you want to look

Ngl, even tho' the Dinobots were my personal favorite part about AOE more than the Autobots in my unpopular opinion? I do agree that AOE Hound does need a SS figure since my favorite part about Hound in AOE is that my favorite actor John Goodman's voicing him and maybe more weapons too from one of those DNA Upgrade Kits.
Hell yeah Hound needs a Studio Series figure. So does Drift for his Bugatti form. And Slug. And Scorn. And Strafe. And Evasion Mode Optimus. And a High Octane Bumblebee that’s not just a reissue of a nearly decade old figure.

Also worth mentioning every single gun has a place to store on the TLK version!! Lots of hidden places, like the shape of the pistols being the shape of the vehicle cab parts on the legs.
The Hong Kong Shootout is enough for me to say between Ironhide and Hound... Hound would fuck him up.
Seeing this makes me want a Studio Skids and Mudflap
Good deco, but I can't look at this mode without imagining Thew Adams saying "zap" in a silly voice in one of his videos

I do own this version of Hound since it was one of the few purchases I had on Buyee but too bad mine barely came with its weapons yet I enjoyed him. Still hoping I could find replacements for it and yeah I would love to see what SS has in mind for our dear autobot.
The old tlk hound would be a great base for an modern ss toy
It's not the flights that are expensive, it's _lodging_ .
Just make sure you book your trip and lodging three months prior to your departure date. Hotels and airports schedule their pricing in a way where booking three months ahead generally gives you the best deals (aside from last minute flights, but those usually require hitting up the airport and having no luggable).
As you said, size was my big contention on why I did not get this mold. Instead, I got the OSKO of him in tan camo withe diecast and upgrade kit included. I did buy the TLK Hound so I had one in each color scheme. Saying that, Hound does look amazing with this camo deco and I am glad to see you break him out for a video.
First and also I really do agree wit a ss hound because I missed out on the last knight figure
I still remember loving this toy for all his weapons which had so much playability. I broke the foot of this toy and when the TLK one came out I just transferred all his weapons to that one. And I love the fact that the TLK one has enough ports to store all the weapons

Love the paint deco on this one. Along with the "patch" star. Then it would look great with my movie the best Hound. I still call em Pipes, his guns hide as pipes for a water tender/tanker.
I can’t wait for us again SS hound based off of the age of extinction version of them they’re going to include every single gun which I’m excited for expecting to be at least Voyager but if he is a leader that’s over price
I'm still waiting for a SS Knight Optimus. I know the design is hard to work with but i still hold out hope.

What we really need is for a 3rd party to make a hound figure
The newer one does a better job envoking the fat guy in a coat look, but the aoe mold is a fantastic toy. Great in both modes, super fun with all of the accessories, and probably the most fun transformation modern transformer toy that I can think of. I've got the mainline dark green one and would only sell it if I came into the camo dvd repaint shown here. Buddy was easily one of my favourite parts of the film too.
From what I hear he was originally meant to be bulkhead but change it to hound because reason, which is why I always consider him as bulkhead instead of hound
I loved hound from the movie and he reminds of ironhide and I love his toy it comes with a bunch guns and a knife I love the toy
I just put my hound on display with the Dr Wu belt and he looks amazing me t to the studio series figures. Would love to make a stop motion of him fighting Ironhide
To be honest, I kinda prefer the lack of beer gut, makes him a little more like the Heavy from TF 2

He had the one good TLK toy only because it was an improvement over this

Dunno if you've seen before, but there's a Dr. Wu add on kit to this hound mold that gives him his belly. Its a little cumbersome to put on and position to look good, and its partsforming, but definitely it does the job. Side note, you can tab his hand plates into the slots on his hips to bulk out his legs a bit more, and clean up the arm profile

I do hope for a Studio Series version of AoE Hound, because my original one broke at the waist and wrist, but also because my dad was one of the head designers of the vehicle used in the movie, so it will have some serious sentimental value for me too
Missed out om nearly all of AOE with the exception of Voyager Evasion Prime. Really bothered me how Hound of all characters never got a LC mold, and didn't feel much for the voyager other than the complete arsenal of weaponry he came with. Now however with everything scaling between voyager and deluxe a studio series release would be cool to see sized similar to Legacy Bulkhead. And a lot of guns.
I prefere the last knight one because that has articulated feet and tanks to the transformation he as hiels because of the front of the truck going to the back of the legs.
If you do go to TFNation, a collab with some of the TF RUclipsrs would be awesome. Benscollectables or Thew are the two I follow the most, but the guys who do the Triple Takeover Toycast (Toybox Soapbox, Sixo, and TFsqareone) are cool too.
i got both versions of hound (AoE and TLK), i gave all its weapon to the TLK version which makes him have more guns lol. Now if they ever make a SS version of hound im gonna give him all the guns from the previews figures to the SS version, because more guns for it so why not.
I think that the figure scales perfectly with studio series. They just need to fix the head, stomach, and arms and he'd be perfect.
The peg on the knife that lets it sit on his chest snapped off on mine. Age of Extinction really did have crappy plastic quality.
Do you have an 07 protoform Optimus prime figure that you can review?
The proportions are terrible but aside from that it's a really fun toy. I still have some of the guns from the AOE one, which of course I gave to the TLK one immediately. Hoping for a studio series version soon!

I found it at Mandarake for 4500JPY. Add shipping, and the total was 81$CAN. Not too shabby. He will go so well with my Legacy "Wreck-n-Rule" Bulkhead.
I question whether a studio version would be any better in the plastic department, or engineering.

As someone who owns the TLK voyager class Hound, I love the figure, but i DO wish it came with the arsenal he had in Age Of Extinction and The Last Knight. Plus I love that John Goodman was the voice actor.
Maybe we can ask DNA or TF Labs for more weapons for the characters since they do Upgrade Kits alot.

Tiny heads so they can fit in the alt mode has been a thing for so long with movie toys and I'm sick of it. The MPMs (some of them) are the only ones that have fixed this issue!

Yea a lot of the AOE and TLK designs are due for a studio series upgrade. I’m with you, I’m one of the few who like AOE leader Optimus. But Optimus and Megatron desperately need the studio series make over. And for the love of Prime give us Nitro Zeus!
Despite the bulls*it age of extinction and TLK has, hound is honestly my favorite character. Like he's not far off of what a real life hound would look/act like. I'd say the TLK hound is best if an SS figure is too long to wait.

@@easyparts-fj7mm Honestly I really liked the TLK Voyager, maybe a little more than the design in the film (do not like how it has no alt mode kibble in robot mode). So far it’s the best one Hasbros’s done. But screen accurate wise objectively it can be better.
For Bee I love both of them, Prime Bee I really like because he’s a sports car (prefer sports car/Camaro Bee over G1/smaller Bee), and Animated Bee is one of the G1 looking Bee’s I like design wise (sunbow G1 Bee doesn’t look good to me imo).

I can't see them not doing Hound; he's like the most popular new character from that movie. He's got a great design, a great personality, and voiced by John Goodman. I still feel like he should have been Bulkhead rather then Hound, becuase really everything about this guy says Bulkhead. But they announce a SS version, and I will preorder that thing HARD.

I'd be lying if I tried, because that literally WAS the original plan. Its like how Bulkhead was originally meant to be Ironhide in TF Prime, but was changed due to the movies killing him off.

His head seems too small for his body and I hate the “athletic” look. The “beer gut” model looks way better IMO.
