  • In this video I review a butane Zippo lighter insert made by YUSUD. This particular lighter features a switchable flame. This means you can choose between a soft flame or a jet flame by the push of a button.

    Thank you. I was looking at exactly this against the z-plus soft flame insert.

    I am using it for last 6 months. It a good one, but the only issue is that, as per yusud video it cannot function properly in low level(flame adjuster). I had to put in in higher level. Then only it functioned properly. From day 1 I am using Zippo butane fluid.

    I think I might get this next month as is a cheaper Thunderbird only better, since it's metal and has a torch function. I normally don't like torches, but that one works on flint. I already have a butane insert so this could be a good back up even though I don't need the torch function.

    I just ordered this from the big A. Will you do a video on proper purging, fill and flint change?

    Is it better this or the thunderbird soft flame? As far as how long does it last without using etc.
    How often do you refill it?

    • @rammbostein
      @rammbostein  10 месяцев назад

      Between the two I'd recommend the Thunderbird soft flame, one for the looks and two the newer thunderbirds have been see-through making it easy to gauge how much gas is inside

      @@rammbostein I heard that the thunderbird leaks butane when it gets "older", is it true?

    So, I assume the the hinge “switch” is what turns the gas on and off since the button switches between the flame types? So, if the hinge is down it would release all the gas?

    • @rammbostein
      @rammbostein  2 года назад +1

      that's right when the hinge is down the gas flow out

    Does the butane stay on when open? Like the soft flame thunderbird? Sorry I guess it does. Good video second watch.

    How do you change the flint?

    • @rammbostein
      @rammbostein  2 года назад +1

      you have to pull out the striker wheel assembly, sort of like you would with a clipper lighter and then there is a screw on the bottom to change out the flint.

    3 q's for ya. do you notice if it leaks when closed? Can you adjust the soft flame? And is it a pain to refill?

    • @rammbostein
      @rammbostein  3 года назад +1

      very good questions, so far i haven't noticed any leaking, with the cam up i can hold a lit lighter over it and it shows no leaks. There is only one adjustment screw, but it adjusts both the soft flame and the jet. As far as refilling, it's just the same as any other refillable lighter, just hold it upside down and press the butane nozzle into the port.
