Mike, can this be made just back and forth? If so can you show us that? I love the colorway and stitch but would like it better being linear. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
❤ I so appreciate how you give details where it counts and INCLUDE the overall concept as well !! I never cared for granny squares, but this MODERN granny square is just perfect . It’s the start of blanket season and gifting season with the holidays near, and I am excited about this pattern and the quick work up. Thank you Mikey😍
Hi Mikey…just a quick question..’m sure I saw you do a tute about a month ago with a puff stitch at the peak and valley. Since I have high and low..🤓..for it searched 😢every possible comb of words..I’ve given up..😢..soo am wondering if this is the same, only adapt it with all the same stitch counts…also,…I love your shorts..I’m..not your shorts, your YT shorts…thanks for all you do and for popping humor in when you do…♥️
Hi - Thanks for your great tutorials. Do you, by chance, have a video of the Bernat Granny Rectangle Afghan (Yarnspirations)? It starts with an 8 stitch circle and makes a beautiful, airy afghan. Any help is appreciated. Thank you! Laura
I'm sorry, I haven't filmed that version. However, I have printed it and added to my responsibilities. I will take care of that over the next few weeks.
I have Bernat Blanket yarn, and for a big change for me, I bought it in variegated colors. I have been crocheting for everybody else, but this was for me. I just can't figure out what pattern to make with this, as I'm actually not one that likes a busy pattern. Go figure, I bought a variegated yarn! Can you give me any suggestions Mikey? BTW, been watching you for years!
I think the best way is to go to Yarnspirations.com and do the filter sort by the brand. There is literally 100+ patterns there that feature that yarn and it's easiest to surf through and find something that matches your wish list. That's probably the best then for me to shoot ideas without knowing your particular interests and lifestyle.
I wouldn't do this in Velvet Yarn. The double crochet in velvet yarn can worm out. Meaning, slip. the yarn is so slippery, the yarn isn't ideal in loose stitches like double crochet.
I have just the yarn for this blanket bought on a whim a few weeks ago when I wasn't supposed to be buying any more yarn. Any chance of a nice cowl suggestion for a good quality Alpaca yarn?
I think you can check Yarnspirations.com for the brand and see what pops up for that area. Or look up cowls on the site and see what captures your interest.
I want to make a Bernat blanket yarn blanket but I am looking for a pattern that has not to many holes.its for outside use in the Melbourne cold winter …any suggestions please. xxx
Some patterns you will find on his channel: Lush Life Blanket , Spinning Wheels Blanket, Hibernate Blanket, Checker Baby (he gives multiples so you can change the size) , Bernat Bricks Blanket All of these are Bernat Blanket yarn tutorials that have no holes 😊.
Does anyone know if this pattern is on Ravelry? Hunted for it but this version is not coming up. Want to start one but would like to see colours used in other projects :-(
I'm sorry about that. Anytime there is a colour change yarn, it creates a problem. It makes for doing stitch samplers and more when the colours change as others complain about the same thing. We are trying to design with only 1 colour these days to avoid the complaint. We will get it right one day.
@@TheCrochetCrowd, oh I'm certain. I've faked it many times. I wasn't saying anything bad about it at all. It actually made me smile because I've done it so many times.
Is it just that maybe I'm crocheting too loose, or is anyone else's first row(that very first middle section) coming out too "holey"? like I can get my whole hand through one of the gaps. I really love this pattern but fear it's gonna be too "holey" I hope that makes sense lol
First rows can always be a bit looser but if it really bothers you, crochet the first row with a smaller hook and that might have you balance it better.
I'm sorry. It's how I communicate and is something i have done for my life. I'm unable to change that because it's who I am as a person. You are best to find a different host that can keep the voice tone to what you wish it to be. My parents always spoke in the same way. My apologies for ruining this for you.

What a cool blanket pattern I did buy the Bernat blanket not knowing what to make now I do thanks Mikey your an amazing teacher.🙂🙌
I bet it will turn out lovely.
Oh man, dog and cat hairs!!! It just part of the blanket haha
Yeah, the struggle is real.
It's also really bad when you yourself are shedding and you end up crocheting your hair into your blankets! Lmao!
It looks cute & quick to do.
I love your intro and Zinger of the Day! Dog hair lol yep. Love the rectangle concept from the middle. This concept can also be used with yarn scraps.
Absolutely. Great advice.
Thank you for explaining this pattern
I love how fast it works up and how easy it is once you explain it
Thank you Mikey!
You're welcome, enjoy your Sunday.
Beautiful. I love all the cranny designs you do
Love how quick this grows, really like this thank you 🧶👍🏼
You’re welcome 😊
Very beautiful love the colors thank you 😊
I really enjoy watching you I have learned a lot
Really like the 9 second countdown
I'm glad. Not many people have said anything about it.
Yeah it's funny that Noone said anything......coz it's really really NICE touch
So gorg! Making for my daughter using BB Ombre in grey white charcoal....thanks again Mikey....we love you....
Sounds great! She will love your personal handmade gift.
Lovely lovely lovely!!!!!
Thank you!!!
You bet. Have a great Sunday.
@@TheCrochetCrowd Thank you, to you as well!!
I like it
Always looking for blanket patterns. You're a great teacher. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
Thank you, Mikey. I love the way you teach and I so enjoy the Crochet Crowd tutorials.
You are so welcome! Enjoy your Sunday.
I really like this pattern and may have just found a way to use some of my yarn stash!
That's even better. Have to use up what we have.
@@TheCrochetCrowd Yes indeed we have to use up what we have. My yarn stash has had babies 😂😂😂
Omg ! I finally found you again! I first saw you on a red heart tutorial and I love how to teach!
Welcome back! Always pumping out new tutorials. :) Have a great Sunday.
Thank 7bfor this. I tried this one and didn't quite get hang of having the corner join look right!!! I used Bernat premium and a 6 hook.
I think Bernat Premium is more of a 5 mm or 5.5 mm hook. Maybe the hook size impacted your look.
I love this pattern! Thank you so much!
You are so welcome!
I liked this stitch easy!
Sempre bellissimi i tuoi tutorial grazie 🤩
You're welcome.

Let me think on it. I'm trying to think about what that could have been. Do you recall the colour of the project?
I made this blanket, it’s awesome. Thank you.
I’d like to make one a bit smaller, how many chains would I start with?
Thank you
I am looking forward to trying this one.
You can do it. Enjoy your Sunday.

I love this thank you. Would this work with the velvet yarn?
I did a regular granny with velvet yarn I just used a smaller hook so stitches were tighter so it wouldn't worm
I wouldn't do this in Velvet Yarn. The double crochet in velvet yarn can worm out. Meaning, slip. the yarn is so slippery, the yarn isn't ideal in loose stitches like double crochet.

I would ❤️ to see a Granny Ripple blanket tutorial. 🧶
We have one of those. 😀
Thank you I will try it
All the best
I have a question. If you're making a set size of throw or blanket, does it take more balls of chunky yarn than it would a worsted weight 4?
Love it
Thanks.
You are adorable 🥰

I was wondering if I can change the 3 double crochet to 2 double crochet so it doesn’t look too crowded🤔
Just try your idea and see if works. That's the best way.
Does anyone know if this pattern is on Ravelry? Hunted for it but this version is not coming up. Want to start one but would like to see colours used in other projects :-(
This is a Yarnspirations pattern. Just give them a quick email through their website to inquire. It's the fastest way to find out.
Why not just do a standing/starting double when you start that 3rd round?
You can, but the designer didn't suggest it. If you know how to do it, it's better.
Can you use just a solid for next time? This is hard to see Mikey....love from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 ❤

Can this pattern be converted into a scarf pattern somehow, Mike?
Yes, it would look like this. ruclips.net/video/l0OGeiQ_I6E/видео.html It's a free pattern as well.
Oh, you’re the best, and thank you for your amazing tutorials!
How many yarns we need to do this size?!
All of our videos have the free pattern links in the descriptions. You can click that and go to the pattern for specific details like that.
Can anyone tell me the multiple of this, please? Thank you
There is no multiples. The pattern is written out as is.
Omg - I’m always questioning; is that dog hair, Alpaca hair, some other wollen hair or what (?!) as I pull it out of my crochet!
The struggle is real.
I have a long haired fluffy white cat so I know the pain. I don't buy dark colored yarn anymore. Lol
The struggle is real.
💞
Join in whatever you believe is the third chain. LOL.
You wouldn't believe the comments I get! Fake it or make it.

I know! Every thing I make has Pomeranian DNA In It!!😂
This does not come up with the in a plaid design...
I don't know what you mean?
Your voice trails off at the end of sentences and becomes impossible to understand when you speak in a lower register.

Just put on the closed captioning. I don't hear low tones and it works for me! Thanks Mikey 😘
Not a good choice of yarn to do tutorial
I was expecting more complaints than just yours about it.
Sry no thanks..you did great but too complicated
Sorry to hear that. The free pattern is available to you in the event you prefer to use that instead. It's linked in the video description.
Love it
Thanks.
