Firstly, what a beast!!!!
Secondly, his snatch technique is very, very interesting. Completely turns his arm into a steel rope and has it follow the longest arc possible.
He knows what he's at so I'll give it a go.
Again, what a beast. Really impressive guy!!!
What is the definition of hell?

I was stupid forgot the password. I would love any assistance you can give me.
Today was my first day with kettlebell... It was amazing! I have worked with 10 Kg and watching this guy makes me rly admire the sport.
First time ever watching this and I really liked it. Thank you.
You are a beast. I work with 2 different sizes 35lbs and 50 lbs and I could not compete for ten minutes at either wt. I do cleans and presses for 40 seconds, followed by 30 rest periods. I am impressed with your technique and the sheer power of your lower body muscles! Going to watch several more time and put it to work every time I swings.
If you have any advice, I would welcome any help!
This is UNBELIEVABLE! Very impressive
Great job, kettlebells provide such a well rounded workout... 💪🏽😎👍🏽
on a side note, the thumbnail for this video led me to believe I was clicking on a pumpkin wrestling video...?😉
Okay.... I could do 10 minutes of *1* but long cycle *and* snatch?! These guys are machines!!!

impressive! wow!
I'm a weightlifter, but this looks like it's going to be my second sport. Amazing endurance, strong af ❤
Right? A martial artist and olympic weightlifter here, it greatly supplements your lifts and performance, making aerobic exercises engaging
More respect for these guys than top bodybuilders. Incredible guts, and juice free.
How do you know juice free ?
I was in the competition I juiced..did you test me??
@@tjssjt296 Wow, so it is so much more prevalent than I even thought? How do these competitors disguise it? Or are the testing systems floored?
@@pancraseash9002 well, juice doesn't give you stamina for this kind of lifting does it?

@kettlebellsport how many hand switches were allowed in the snatch for this competition? Awesome performance Denis!

I'll guess the rest were using 20kg? I wasn't sure about the big bloke on the end, with the light couldn't tell if it as 20 or 36.
Hello, I have never seen kettlebell competition, what are the standard weights for men and women?
The ones in this video are 28 kg
Russian is hard language to learn.
Tadellos in Ausführung und Technik. Mental gesehen auch sehr eindrucksvoll.
Why this isn't an olympic sport is beyond me
Its for girls and its s*it
I guess it's just boring to watch if you are not "in" on it. Most other sports can be watched even if you have no clue how to play them and weightlifting i.e. always looks cool because they weights are so obviously heavy an the bars are bending, but if you never touched a kettlebell in your life you just can't appreciate how hard 161 Jerks with 2x32 in 10 minutes are so watching this fpr 10 minutes would just be really boring, let alone watching it for half a day
If it was just one lift I could see it, but as it's kind of like a stationary race it's like watching people run in place
@@UmbrellagasmThat’s what makes it powerful and beneficial tbh, people always want to watch the fancy stuff, failing to realize that the fundamentals always get good results, kettlebell sport basically Increase my quality of life i feel stronger, stable, and explosive. I think bodybuilders, olympic weightlifters, and martial artists, should supplement this in their training, it doesn’t really take a lot of time, just 10 minutes
Jesus, that must be brutal.
That hand shake must have been insanely painful......................to the judge.
What size are those Orange ones?
28kg I believed
How do you train for kettlebell sport?
Three - four times per week, 1 - 3 hours. Cleans, jerks, snatches, bumps, semi-squats etc...
kettlebellsport is it like Olympic lifting where you should find a coach/class? or just watch videos like this to learn?
I'd say find a coach so you can learn the basics. This is much harder than it looks.
@@kettlebellsport Do the pros cross train in Oly lifting or just focus on KB work?
@@MindfulWavesStudio Late answer. Kettlebell in itself does not require much cross-training, it is a challenging full-body and coordinative training. But additional mobility work is important, e.g. yoga or selected stretches.
Nuts
Omg think how heavy his one rep is🤗 Is there a max weight/one rep max competition also in kettlebell sports, like in weightlifting?
No 😊
no, but oly lifting is the closest you get - similar but more explosive movements
No Kettlebells are endurance weightlifting basically an opposite of olympic weightlifting
Pardon my ignorance, why is he using 28kgs and the rest of the men 20kgs?
It's an open competition, so weights are chosen by the athletes, and points are calculated based off reps, bodyweight and bell weight.
Hold my beer
I thought the whole idea behind kettlebells was to perform isometric exercises?
Time to eat some food...
He uses kettlebell kings, and for good reason.
His bells were made special. They just say "Kettlebell King."
Why
@@Jose-fc5yd Design has amazing ergonomics, prevents injuries. Steel absorbs chalk better than others. They have amazing customer service. They are costomisable with their paint jobs. They are hollow core single casted, which means they won't break apart or loose parts, some kettlebells filled cores can get loose over time and start to make noise which can get very annoying during a cycle. But they are the perfect balance of quality and affordability. That's what I know at least.
@@antipusrises Nope. He really does use them. He does lots of videos with kettlebell kings. And he's even said why he likes them. It could be a product placement thing. But I've seen him use many over the years, so far, he uses kb kings almost always. The only other brand I see him use are Valery fedorenkos and pro kettlebells from the Seattle kettlebell club.

Bought this for my youngest to develop basic form for single hand kettlebell work. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxtaDAl93XF8wxJhssTtjIFjzid82wglva It has a nice grip on it, just a little rough so it isn't slippery. I was doing a few rotator cuff exercises to test and worked well for those movements I'd been doing with a regular dumbbell. Cool thing you can do is hold it in your hand for door-knob turns to work the forearm and grip. Note: it's small, almost all handle, but that's what I expected given the weight. Smallest I've worked with before is 15lbs, so it was kind of funny to see the difference 10lbs makes.
how much time you have for every exercise?
Looks like there were 10:00 minutes on the clock @ 0:06
Am scared for the judges infront of the competitors. A possible slip on the hands and the KB could hit them.
Is he using a pendulum swing, hardswing or some variation?
pendulum is the go for KB Sport

Issue is, he not that big. Kettles can only take you so far. Ul also need a squag rack ect.
Not entirely dude, if you look at his arms, upper back, and legs during his instructional videos...he's got some dense musculature. Pavel goes into depth in one of his books in regards to sarcoplasmic hypertophy versus myofibrillar hypertrophy; so the former being an increase in water retention within the cell I believe, and the latter being a density of the component cells. So if you took Denis and put him next to a bodybuilder, he would look way denser and his quality of musculature would look better...whereas the larger bodybuilder is in fact larger, yet the quality of his musculature will look soft and bloated.
@@DiamorphineDeath im with you mate. Got an S&C degree. Im currently using a kettle and its great. Building mass in areas my barbell could never hit. But id only suppliment it into my max strength/hypertrophy barbell work. Kettlebells are a great factor. But for me they wouldnt be the main factor. Chrz for your input mate.
@@stevenhudson6843 sure it's not a bodybuilding method, but I wonder how he'd look like if the competition weight was something more like 48kg. I think the largest issue is that the weight is static and after a while all the progress starts to go into muscle endurance if the reps are only thing increasing
There's no issue with his physqiue lol. And it's possible that Kettlebells can somehow get you big depending on how you'd be training with them. But even if you won't get big big like a physique such as Arnold, you'd still be able to put good enough of mass and especially shredded
He’s not trynna be a bodybuilder so why would this even matter….
