If I was closer to your studio .... I'd let you do mine in a heartbeat. But you always give us the best opportunity to get your expertise and do it right at home! You're the best.
Silvia, those hair tutorials are the best....I looooove watching them!!!! It is so awesome when yoy bleach and dye your hair by yourself❤ It is so entertaining.
Hi Sylvia, may you show us the next time you need to get your highlights touched up, how to put highlights in the back of the head? I love your hair cut and you have a great eye for color! ❤
Hi Sylvia! Thank you for the updated tutorial. How do you ensure the dark color doesn’t affect the highlights when you’re rinsing it all out? I do the processes separately since I’m just an at home colorist and I also feel like the root color can affect the brightness of the highlight since when you wash out the color does slide over that bleached hair. Tips appreciated!
Yes, great question. You can always use a mask or conditioner as a barrier on your ends to prevent any color transfer when washing. I typically just hold the ends up when I shampoo the root area and I do it as quickly as possible.and I only massage in a shampoo when I feel all the color has rinsed off.
@@Ellebangs I do that too, I usually coat the hair in an oil and then tie the ends up in a scrunchie and only wash/rinse the scalp before taking it all down. Okay I’m doing it right! Thank you.
Can you do a video on a brighter neutral blonde. This color looks washed out to me. I want to make my golden blonde highlights less yellow, but not dull. My roots are 8n. I love you, but this color looks too dull to me, I prefer more brightness. I find when I use the 10P toner it really dulls the hair. It cuts the yellow, but really dulls the hair.
Thanks so much for the video! I’m wondering if you could do a video on how to transition from global color to highlights. I’m so tired of my all-over-blond, I was thinking about letting my roots grow out a bit and just doing highlights going forward but I’m not sure if that would work.
I have an idea for you: let it grow out a bit and make 1 slice 2 inch tease, 1 slice 1 inch tease and 1 highlight with no tease. Between those slices / teases don’t leave hair in between. Start after those 3 again with 2 inch tease, 1 inch tease and highlight and so on. Do this for your whole Mohawk section from back to front and maybe finish in the front with some back to back slices for the money piece. Also do some tessed slices and or highlights on the left and right side of your face. I did the different teasy slices all over my head and turned out beautiful. Did make only 1 inch and 2 inch (the addition one weaved highlight section I will add next time). It was already many months ago and even I do now have a 3 inch regroth it looks still quite nice as there are no harsh lines.
Happy this gave you an inspiration. :) I got my inspiration from a RUclips video called: Brunette to Blonde Balayage Transformation - tutorial and formulas included Altertively you could also start now with your all over blond, weave out highlights as if you would lighten them and put conditioner on them in the foil instead of bleach. Afterwards you put on a toner root smudge (that is close to your natural color) on all the hair that is not in the foils and below you add a clear toner. Then you blend the smudge toner into the clear toner with your fingers for a soft color transition into your already bright blonde mies and ends. Hope you find soon a good way for your new dimensional look! :)
BTW, I bleached my hair yesterday (was really overdue, did not bleach it for 9 months 🤣) and did the technique with the teasy lights/slices and the weaved highlight. Does look really beautiful. 😇 Just wanted to let you know as I did not include the highlights the last time I did my hair. I do also own a Cooboard which makes working with teased hair much more easy, especially when you don’t need the color to start right at the root but one inch away or more. For the highlights I did not use the Coobooqrd and started the painting right next to the root. The different starting hights make a nice dimension in the hair, that I personally like.
Omg. This is what I have been trying to achieve and nobody can get me this color. Thank you. Is there anything different for my Grey roots? And if I want this beige blonde to be permanent color not a toner, not root smudge can I just purchase the toner in permanent colors?
Is there a reason for using 40 vol? When using foils, its almost like a 50 vol, or not? Couldnt you archieve the same results with 20 vol and 60 mins or 30 vol and 45 mins?
I processed for 50 minutes. My hair is extremely resistant. I have never achieved a level 9 with 20 VOL developer even if I were to process my hair longer and slower which is what I love to do with my clients.
If I have gray hair should I do the roots first then the highlights? I’m about confused when doing it all together. For how long should I leave the root color? Thank you!! ❤
@@Ellebangs Hi, I have highlights some level 9 and some level 10, natural is a level 6/7. I am looking to beige tone my hair too. I don't understand why you went with level 7NB on lighter hair? I was thinking of using level 9 or 10 toners on mine.. Any colour suggestions for redken toners for me please?
Aren’t the ends getting double bleached the second you fold the foil. Same blonde is still in the foil. Why aren’t foils done folded to the side not up.
I have definitely not damaged my hair by teasing in this session. Conditioning my hair in the shower was plenty to remove all teasing and no detangling was needed after.
Your videos have helped me for years!!! Thank you!! Your hair is stunning 😍

How much of the of 7NB 10P and 9P toner did you mix together for the all over toner?

Hello! Love your videos! Are these hair color products available to the general public or just professionals?
With adding the 7 .5 oz and 10 .5 oz and 1 oz of 9v. Love it. Don't quite understand the 7, but you do get a great result !!
Love this on you
When highlighting / coloring should you color roots first then highlight?
Would you be able to do a tutorial on how to cut this hair style? I would love this cut.

I agree! They teach us but not all of us are professionals.
Also I looked for 6:11 of the L’Oréal the ones she did on her roots looks black on sites.
I use the wella beige blonde toner and love it

I used loreal instead for at least 8 years but it's wash off quiet quickly and the cost here in Australia became crazy
So to keep hair from frying this K18 spray works ?? I loose so much when lighting i NEED something to help !!

May I ask where you got your jewelry?
I checked and don’t hear if yoy say, can you please tell us how long the total toner processing time was? Thanks!
Was this your natural grow out before you lightened it?
How do you do the back?
I want a golden blonde. I am 59 Grey use 8gnn on roots. What is best toner for the perfect 8.9 golden blonde.
08GI and 09NW is a really pretty blend for a warm level 9 blonde.

What does the back look like?
How can we get Redken products without a cosmology license?
When I use pearl products it always turns grey
What would happen if you put toner over the root smudge rather than starting bellow it?
I personally just blend them in with my fingers in the overlapping zone when I tone my hair at home

She leaves the ends out of the side of the foils if you look properly.
Do you never put highlights in the back of the head
only every other time. But keep in mind my side foils do reach the back of my head.

10BS Goldwell
My hair turned gray when i add 9p
Too orange at the roots as for my taste, but still thumbs-up for the info and tutorial 🌹

Hair stylists do this daily. It keeps you from bleach the breakage.
Ash blonds are ashey. Ashes are gray. Go do what is you.
