Regarding Vixen, in 2012 the classic lineup (Jan Kuehnemund, Roxy Petrucci, Janet Gardner and Share Pederson) were planning a reunion and before the announcement could be made in January 2013, founding member and lead guitarist Jan Kuehnemund was diagnosed with cancer. The band delayed the announcement so Jan could get treatment and recover. Sadly it didn't happen, and she passed away from the cancer in October of 2013. The surviving three (with Gina Stile on guitar) decided to carry on with Vixen in honor of Jan. Simple Minds initially didn't want to record Don't You Forget About Me since they didn't write the song.

Tommy Tutone: "Angel Say No" hit #38 before "867-5309" in the US (and "Cheap Date" got airplay).
Quarterflash: "Goodbye To You" hit #16.
Scandal: Had several hits, highest beside this one being "Hands Tied" and "Beat Of A Heart" both reaching #41, though my favorite was "Goodbye To You" (#65).
Simple Minds: "Alive And Kicking" hit #2 so do NOT call Jim Kerr a one-hit wonder!!
Soft Cell: Lots of hits elsewhere than the States, but if you're only counting America...
Thomas Dolby: Lots of hits in the UK, and in the States hit #62 with "Hyperactive" in the States, plus "Europa and the Pirate Twins" got to #67.
