As an office manager, I love these boots. Like you mentioned, the extra hand grip is an amazing feature. The hand grip really allows me to have great stability when I crawl under my desk and curl into the fetal position to relax. The hand grip gives me that extra security to hold my knees to my chest. These boots are not only for the hard working man, but also those of us with a more sedentary job who need to decompress after a long day.
What sold me was how comfortable they are at parades. I literally stood on the side waving trying to get candy for 2 hours in these and felt like I was floating. Also with the raised back, gave me an extra two or three inches reach on other people to grab candy before it even reached them. I'm sold

I’m in the Marine Corp. As you may know we have to run 3 miles as part of our physical fitness test. The heel on these shoes act like a spring board propelling you forward with every step. That combined with the modern lightweight construction helped me take almost 5 minutes off my run time. 10/10 I’m recommending them to everyone.
I can attest that these boots are perfect for welding, the amount of protection they offer from heat really puts nick’s boots to shame, I remember their indestructible boot they would retail for $1000, however balenciaga with their innovative technology made a far better boot that is more durable for only $700.
I can see the virtues of these for welding: the sparks would just roll out; the air in the FOM would keep your feet from getting hot; and the heel puts you above your work!
These are absolute classics, I have been wearing mine for tens of thousands meters. I bought these in colors "violent violet" and "urban camouflage", I have been wearing the boots in the violent violet color ever since. It's not that I didn't want to wear the other color, but after taking them out of the box, I haven't been able to find them ever since. I highly recommend them!

I'm a teacher, so when I find a boot love and fits well, I buy them in every color. I typically wear the black and green for regular daily wear. The pink is often saved for when the superintendent and special guests visit the building and I NEVER wear the white ones after Labor Day! For everyday teaching, I prefer to keep them in normal mode. In South Carolina, we refer to sport mode as 4-wheeled drive. This feature makes for a versatile boot that is useful for 4-square, softball and breaking up fights. The heel handle is great for quad stretches after a long day of passing out papers. 5 Stars, highly recommend.
As a dad, I too can attest to the value of these boots although we have learned that they are more than just boots. OG Crocs are legit. I live on a rural wooded lake and they are the best. I don't know about fashion wise but they are good for light swamp duty.
