Thanks for the video guys. You have been helping me get better at stationary marksmanship.(indoor range in Northern Minnesota, can't move around much) Appreciate it.
@@neilweidner9361 I thought this too! But now that I think about it, I'm not sure that solves the issue because all that does is reduce the trigger time under recoil by the corresponding amount
John and Neil, I enjoy these drills and like most of your audience I am just trying to "suck Less". The Gabe White Pins are at very lofty standards. I feel the Range Monkey is a high level shooter and she cannot achieve a dark pin level. The ASP 10 Round Skill Check breaks down to Competent, Professional, Advanced and Master level. What do think the standards for us mere mortals in the terms of Competent, Professional, Advanced and Master? Those of us just trying to Suck Less. Could you set standards for all 4 ? The Bill Drill, Failure to stop, Immediate Incapacitation and the Split Bill Drill. Thank you from us Mere Mortals that are just trying to suck less and and be at least competent.
Thanks for the kind words! Gabe’s standards are certainly high standards but I think we can all work towards them. I think rather than me setting a standard for you, I’d recommend that you go shoot it 3-4 times to get YOUR average and then work to improve that score. I wouldn’t want to set a number without knowing you and where you are on your journey to becoming a better shooter, I’d just want you to know where you are and then work to get better. Make sense?
Neil, I'm new at the shooting sports, but I don't think you walk around with your left hand on your shirt tail and the right hand on your grip!! You and the lady did that. Some one said the same thing to Scott (MSP! of course he didn't like being called a cheater!) He was doing a drill and his support hand was on shirt tail. Bob Wilson and Ken Hawthorn are big supports in doing these drill from cover, not OWB if your EDC is IWB or AIWB (which almost every gunner you tuber has Appendix carry.) I just can't get comfortable with Appendix carry . Ihave to carry 3-5 o'clock for comfort.
Eh, I think some folks take it a little too seriously, if anyone wants to start in a differ position they sure can but yes I stand with my hands crossed like that a fair amount of time. No I don’t WALK around like that… we’re running a drill here and this is not an unacceptable way to many folks.
Hey Douglas, come take a class with us sometime! Appendix isn’t for everyone but sometimes we see folks set back due to gear or technique that can be worked out in a class
@@neilweidner9361 I would be glade to , if I could afford it! Oct. 1 & 12 Scott Jenski (MSP). His two day class has coast $500.00 and I have to bring 1K rounds, get a motel for two nights and eat. I'm glad I live close enough to drive there and back. (100 miles one way). I'm going to get a room on the 10th and 11th then drive back home !3th. I never comment but wow neil that was epic I've done that in a class before it's embarrassing as hell but it happens.....and thankyou john for leaving that in there loool
You don't start the drill with your hands down holding your shirt Neal. Do you walk around with your hand down holding your shirt? No. That is not realistic.
@@neilweidner9361 So you stand around with your left hand on your shirt tail and your right on your grip......so much for "conceal carry!". You don't need to worry about printing then! Hey every body, look at me I have a pistol!....... lol just kidding Neal.
Sioux Falls!!! Very cool! I didn’t realize

I really want to get to a Gabe white class... thanks John for not editing...lol
John showing his love. ROFL
He’s just mean huh?
Bill drill is the hardest for me because I don't know how to practice it without burning through my entire ammo stash! 🤷
Haha fact!!
Truth, but you can try to practice a 3 or 4 round version to save a little ammo.

@@NextScamdemic agreed, but you can save on a little ammo as you work you way up to 6 total shots.
Woot! Nice job, RM and Neil! One of my favorite drills!
Thanks 🙏👍
I will be at a class with zito and "jedi" in april.
The Bill Drill is my nemesis. I find myself getting the time but my grip gets loose part way through and I throw one.
😳, might as well go open carry if you pre-grab your shirt

@@matthewellisor5835 suppose it doesn’t matter anyway, if you’re running and gunning you’re a great American 🇺🇸
Eh .. a cheater start is still a start. :)
Meanwhile there's me grabbing my shirt any time I reach overhead so I'm not flashing everyone my gun.

The Bill Drill = the drill I love but hate. LOL
Right?
@@neilweidner9361 LOL
I am amazed that the Range Monkey has shot this long and never ran a Bill Drill.
