My greenwing macaw naturally lifts left foot but I recently taught her to raise the other foot depending on which hand I give the sign with. It wasn't easy but she has it down now!
I think Mook(Military Macaw) is ambidextrous. Depending on which way he is facing depends on which foot he uses to step up and he has used both feet to hold toys or eat.
I'm ambidextrous and this sounds plausible. I can write (not as good) and even use utensils and scissors with my left hand, but I rely mostly on my right hand. I even use my left hand for baseball- because it just felt like a left handed day in highschool- and I started with my left hand. A few days later, I tried it with my right, proceeded to confuse people, and then confuse myself, so I just stuck to using my left hand lol. This sounds kinda similar, using certain "hands" for certain things and using others interchangeably. Also, my sister's ambidextrous but writes with her left hand and this seems to describe her a little as well.
You have to give them something to eat that they can hold to determine which foot they favor. All Cockatoos are left footed. That rose breasted Cockatoo was just scratching himself, which they will do with either foot obviously.
This is hilarious! And at the end just shows you who the master is.

She up ups on her left but waves with her right 😊

Most umbrella cockatoos are left footed. Yep My Frankie is left footed.
"how do you tell which one is Jinx or Ava?"
"well, which one turns into a tomato when Jamie shows up..?"
xD
Haha that’s exactly how I tell to (and Ava is slightly more blue, no offence jinxs your coat is beautifully vibrant too )
Bubba always blushes when Jamie is around.
My budgie is left handed apparently 😂

Huh cool!
They are like haii camera
Interesting! I never thought animals would have a ‘dominant hand’. I wonder if the animal world has a more common side like the human world does.
good to know!
It's not my bird, it's my in laws bird but he or she is left footed. I have been looking into the training and you guys have been a big help. Thanks
Funny timing since I just got my macaw to wave with both feet
She’s a lefty. Even if the right is the must convenient, she will turn around to give me her left footy
I gotta pay attention 😂
My pigeons are ambidextrous💪🏼😂
Hi bird tricks I keep watching you and even subscribe to your channel. I love it❤. And i have female eckie . I think she is left footed😊

There lil feets freak me out😂birdie feet are so weird. If they could im sure they would think the same about our feet lol
Both of my budgies are left footed
My African grey has only one foot so I guess it would be her right
Wait but isn't how you train them to wave with the "step up" trick? Because they wave the foot they had to wave with most?
I have Green Cheek Conure and every time he waves he uses his left foot
My Bird do this a lot what does it's mean😅
My bird has one hand 😢
My Sun Conure Buddy is a righty. Every time it's "up up" and he lifts his right foot like pick me up dude!
