One thing that's easy to watch out for, if you notice the car getting extra damp inside this winter. Water likes to pool around the battery in the boot, keep it dry back there and most of the moisture will be gone (water likes to seep in through spoiler), I also got some humidity bags off amazon to keep the moisture down in the cabin. Works a charm.
I bought a 100K (The same TTS) for twice as much as you paid. So far I had to get a new spring at the front, and a new fuel injector. Luckily I have a decent specialist near me who also carbon cleaned the intakes and replaced the cam follower, as they were exposed when replacing the injector. All in all I've spent about £1600 in servicing and repairs since buying the car. But its worth it... The car is so fun to drive, they just don't make them like this anymore... (literally). It could be worse mate! you got a good deal on the car, left you some room for repairs and service jobs. Have fun
thanks for the mention re underfloor rust :) - Would however like to see a video underneath when next up on the ramps :) - I am very interested in getting a TTS => Stage 1 @330bhp - should be a great daily driving car....just dont need to worry about rust... Sure with 1/2 hrs thought, they could have used a remote booster and have the Master cylinder accessible thru footwell by removing a pedal box assembly / similar - 10 hrs is stupid!
Thanks for the comment, I'll see if I can get a more detailed look under the car when it's at the mechanics soon :) Indeed, unfortunately access is sooo tight, that unless you jiggle about with the engine, there's no access to even see the full servo...
600 from Audi for the brake booster given all the work involved actually doesnt sound too bad. Bet you could knock 150 off that from a non-dealer audi specialist
if it wasnt for naively optimistic people like you, no old cars would ever get sold. You have to be realistic and remember that 160,000 miles equates to 10 years on the road. thats 10 winters. there are plenty of components that are right at the end of their life now, and you can expect the most problems from any old audi between 160,000--180,000 miles. sensors and electrics particularly, will fail. those springs also will be at the end of their life.

Thanks for the tip. So far so dry :)
He’s back with another video, happy days

Thanks @AhhDubya69. I've literally had a load of work done on the car too so I'll be releasing an update video soon!

Could have been worse mate, fingers crossed you can get a cheaper part 🤞

Unfortunately Audi quoted £600 for just the part! Labour would've probably been at least twice as much 🥲

@harryjones5260 - totally agree, fortunately the car has been looked after so I'm hopeful that the heart of the car (the engine) is sound
