This recipe is truly excellent. I did it myself and will continue. This soap does take a little longer to cure than a plain olive oil soap, I think that is what the one person was talking about with the creamy white on outside and yellow on inside. When it is cured, it is all the same color. Mine had a yellow circle in center until all of the water was evaporated. This soap leathers beautifully and is very creamy at same time. I think this is what DOVE soap wishes it could be!
I've tried several recipes and not found one as good as this one. It's so gentle on the skin and lathers which is a must for me. So glad you like it. Thanks for letting me know you tried it and were pleased. Hugs, Lisa
Thank you for the clear and concise directions and video! I have made soap at least 100 times; used to sell it... but I quit selling about 6(?) years ago, and have taken a break since then. Now getting ready to make my first batch in several years and just needed a quick refresher of procedires and safety. I always mix my lye water outside too! Pretty fun in Minnesota winter! 😂
The saponification process takes 72 hours to complete. The curing of your soap is to allow excess moisture to evaporate resulting in a harder, longer lasting bar. It also allows the soap’s pH to become neutral or very close to it. I love the science and math aspects of soap making as much as the artistic, creative side. I don’t recommend using anything that has touched lye or soap batter (of which lye is an active component until saponification is complete) to use for anything other than soap making. Thank you for allowing me to share the information I have learned.
Interesting facts about soap. Thanks. I've tried several recipes so far but this one last longer than all the others and seems to be easiest on my skin. I admire these talented soap makers. I've seen and smelled some beautiful works of art. Thanks for watching and sharing. Lisa
Hi Lisa I used your recipe on Sunday and cut it yesterday. I used oatmeal, color and lemongrass essential oil. I liked how it came out and looked. Now the 6 weeks wait! lol
Lisa, thanks for sharing this recipe. I can't stress enough how important it is to get the temperatures of the oil/lye combo as I think I let my lye cool down too much and my oil was too hot. Took me about 2 hours before I managed to get a trace with smoke starting to come out of the stick blender....phew! Will have to get one of those thermometers to get it more accurate next time, finally got there so I will have to wait 4-6 weeks now to see how it finally turns out. Hopefully it hardens over time. Thanks again.
I shoot for no more than a 10 to 15 degree difference between the two. It helps with getting your trace. Since I heat my oil in the microwave I wait until the lye solution is almost room temp then just heat the oil for a few minutes. It doesn't take long at all. A minute or 2 at a time should do it without overheating it. The thermometers do help. Thank you for tuning in. Lisa
Hi again Lisa, my soap is curing away and I have to admit I have already started using some of the bars and am very happy with it. In the last few days however I have noticed on half of the bars that are still curing, there is a misty white colour appearing on the tops, I have researched it and apparently it is called "soda ash" which is easily removed by holding the bars over steam from a kettle or other boiling water for half a minute or so, it goes away. The other issue I'm having is that little white spots are appearing all around on some of my bars, I'm not exactly sure what this could be but the most likely cause of this is that because my trace took so long to take, the coconut oil perhaps started to harden before the saponification process. I'm just wondering if you or anyone else has experienced this before. There are no holes and the consistency is good. My next batch will be better. Bob
I'm making my first batch of soap today and I just love your recipes. I will try this one after the one I already have researched. Also making liquid soap for my washing dishes and cleaning around the house. Thank you ❤️🙏

I think you'll love it. It's very gentle on your skin. This recipe works well for wrapping after the initial 24 hour set. I never cure it unwrapped. Let me know what you think of it. Thank you for watching. xoxo, Lisa
@@LisasWorld100 CAN I USE total coconut oil instead of olive oil that is 50 ounces of coconut oil instead of 10 coconut 40 olive oil? please let me know. lye is not a chemical to use it on the skin?

Thank you. This is a great recipe. Very soft on your skin. Some soap makers let their soap cure unwrapped however I always wrap mine after cutting it which is usually the next day. Never a problem wrapping and curing with this recipe. Thanks for stopping by. Lisa
Hello. I have just found your channel. I am one of Rosie's subscribers. I am also a soap maker. Hello and thanks for shareing im going to try this i cant wait, my ? is if i dont want to make a big batch of this can you cut this recipe in half will it still work?
It's really simple. I have a box I keep all my supplies in. I always read over the instructions just to remind myself how to mix the lye. The snow always falls. lol Once you make it one time you'll be hooked. The soap leaves your skin so soft and it's the BEST for shaving your legs. You can use so many scents with this, rosemary, basil, orange peels, oils, oatmeal.... The sky's the limit! What have you got to lose? Oh yeah, dead skin cells. hahaha Love you girly. Lisa
I was the same way. Took me 2 years to try. I recently did it last month, and have been hooked. I have made 12 batches, trying out different oils and scents. The main hurdle is the lye, -thinking this thing can burn my eyes out at 12 yards.. Now, I know its Not that bad. Just wear your gloves and eye protection in case of a errant splash.
Just do it!! i was just like you til yesterday and then i grabbed some tallow that had been in my fridge for a while, and made my first ever batch of soap.. keep it simple, then get bolder and bolder.. there are so many awesome soap tutorials on youtube that its easy to just watch and watch, but just do a dead easy soap to start off with, and nek minit, you will be doing 12 batches in a month too!! :)
CP (cold process) and HP (hot process) soap should not be sealed in plastic as it need to breath. Melt and Pour must be sealed in plastic or it will "sweat", (water droplets on the soap due to the glycerin attracting moisture from the air_..
Take it from someone that knows, wrapping hot or cold process soaps in plastic at any point will cause disaster with the soap at some point. Never never never wrap in plastic. They need to breathe. The only soap that requires wrapping is melt and pour. I would never buy a soap bar wrapped in plastic.
Hi Lisa, Getting ready to make your soap now. Which silicone trays do you use? Can you send a link? I bought one before and it was not firm so it widened in the middle when I poured in my soap. Thank you in advance!
you can use velveeta boxes and saran wrap and then re-use the boxes as Bexar Prepper does. Depends on how far off the grid you want. Lye will go down in a cool sink in awhile.
Question, how long does it typically take reach a trace? I tried this recipe and man did it take a while for me to reach the trace. I think it took me like 45 minutes...
you shouldnt wrap them until the 3-4 weeks have passed , there might be still to soft ( especially if your using olive oil ( olive oil is a soft oil ( sooo I wouldnt wrap them up until there bone hard
Hi, I made by first batch and the soap is so drying, it almost makes my hands itchy their so dry. I follow the directions exactly so I'm not sure what I did wrong. I used extra virgin olive oil, was that the problem?
Great video for a new person to soap making. You wrap your bars and let them cure wrapped. I have read where they say to have the air hit them so they dry out. Do you see any benefit to wrapping the bars first?
Marlayne Madison 😱😱😱 I know this is an older video but......... 😳😳😳 OMGoodness..... the soap is NOT supposed to be wrapped while curing. The air is what helps the soap to cure and the water to evaporate. If the water can’t evaporate, there is a risk of mold growing and another reason to never ever wrap soaps during the curing process is because it can cause the oils to go rancid and can make yucky orange spots all over the bars. 🤢🤢🤢 👸🏼 Look it up on Soap Queen..... I’ve learned soooooo much from her
Hi,Lisa, Im Lisa, heehee, I loved your video, I cant wait to try your recipe, you explain it so well.Thank you, hugs to you from Texas. Oh, question, I have fresh rosemary, what do I do to add it for fragrance? Please help me.
Just before turning the mix into the mold pour in the rosemary and stir. I prefer to have bigger chucks of rosemary in the soap.It makes a pretty presentation. Just be careful, a little goes a long way. Thanks for stopping by. Lisa
I am curious how did the soap turn out and perform in the shower; too soft, soft, nice firm, or very hard? Since your recipe involved more than 80% olive(soft) and 20 coconut oil (hard) which is quite contrast to what other sites recommend. Please let me know, I'd like to try this
I love this recipe. It's soft once wet but firms up for longer lasting in the shower. As with any soap, leaving it in a moist area all the time will cause it to dissolve faster so I keep it on a rack above the water spray area. It's very gentle on the skin and helps tremendously with dry skin. It's a nice firm soap but not hard. Thank you for stopping by.
Ramesh Gajula i followed this recipe and i found the soap very soft, however, the lather was great and steady, the foam formed well even before curing. All in all great soap apart from the softness of the bar :) hope this helps
lisa I thought once you do hp after 24 hrs its ready to use I keep hearing that and that the cold process is 4- 6 weeks to cure and do you have 1 recipe with cold process i havnt gotta my thermostat yet I also would like recipes sing sunflower oil with the coconut and shea butters I also ordered and if u have any recipes with oatmeal and himalylan salt with any essential oils hp or cp thank you you are very clear n precice loved your video
HP can be used after 24 hours however I sometimes find a white chalky look on the bar (very little) if I don't let it sit a couple of weeks before use. It seems to last longer when I cure it slightly. I'll check my recipe book and see what I have like your describing. Thanks for watching. Lisa
couple of questions if you can help, with mine there cream white on the out side but when there cut there yellowish inside does this even out over time and have you used colorants to colour the soap and has it worked?? thanks
I use color and scents with my soap. Sounds like the color could be mixed a little more. It wont hurt the soap at all. Swirling the color (not mixing it completely) makes really nice patterns. Thanks for stopping by. Lisa
Hi Lisa love love love your video thank you first time making soap and I will be making it this week:) I’m excited so is that the crystal lye for cleaning drains?
I keep one just for my soaps. As you're stirring the soap it thickens and the residue can get stuck in the blade. It would be hard to get all the soap off. You can usually find one very inexpensive around the holidays. I think I paid $15 for mine. Thanks for watching and commenting. Lisa
Hello Lisa, hope you are Ok! Please, could you let me know if I can use this soap for washing my hear ? Is this good for it or do you recommend just for a dry skin or is good for both! Thank you for sharing the recipes, I'm going to make this very soon! Also do you have a recipes for making 100% coconut oil soap? Thanks indeed!
I've not made soap using coconut oil only. I've tried it but I prefer the olive oil/coconut oil combo. I do travel with this and use it for shampoo and use coconut oil for conditioner. This formula is a great recipe so I don't stray from what works. Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate the support. Blessings, Lisa.
Soap recipes need to be carefully calculated for adjustments. It's not a process you can adjust easily. Whenever I want to make changes to a recipe, which isn't often, I use the soap calculator here. soapcalc.net/calc/soapcalcwp.asp It will give you the measurements of each ingredient so the soap will firm to the right consistency. Glad you like the recipe. It's my favorite.
Sorry for the long time before responding. My computer has been down. Yes, you will need an immersion blender for this. I'm not sure of any other way to get to trace. Thanks for stopping by. Lisa
I would think if it's gentle enough for the skin it would be fine for your hair. I love the soft feel of it after a shower. Thank you for tning in. Hugs, Lisa
I purchased mine here. Fast shipping. It's also food grade which I prefer. It was very reasonable and free shipping. The trays I bought from Dollar Tree. They are drawer organizers. www.ebay.com/itm/Sodium-Hydroxide-98-Pure-Microbeads-2-5-Lb-Caustic-Soda-Lye-FCC-Food-Grade-/201631401778?hash=item2ef22b0732:g:sWwAAOSwT6pV3ibC Thank you for the support. Lisa
I bought some at Lowe's, because I was out and needed it in a hurry. It's called Roebic 100% lye and is on the aisle with the drain cleaners. It was a bit pricey, but I ran out. I usually order it from Bulk Apothecary, but if you need it right away, try Lowe's.
There is a chemical process that takes place and the lye is no longer present. This is the best soap, although I would leave to air cure instead of wrapping in plastic. It is fantastic for those with skin conditions.
I've never made soap before but I have a couple of questions. The crockpot you used is that also for food, or does this need to be separate equipment? I can use an older pot on the stove but I'm not sure about this. Next is, are you using parchment paper or freezer paper? Thanks!
Most people have a dedicated crock for this but honestly I would say if you only have one you can clean it very good and use it for food. I only use dedicated utensils though. My immersion blender is not used on food since it has groves the lye can hide in. I just happen to have 2 crocks which makes it easier. I use parchment paper to line my molds. Hope this helps. Thank you for stopping by. Lisa
Saundra Frioux I read it is dangerous to use the stuff u use for soap making for cooking especially cuz of the lye .... I may be wrong though but please research
I let mine sit untouched for 24 hours then cut and wrap it. As long as I've been making soap I've never had a problem wrapping it after just 24 hours. It doesn't dissolve any sooner than other homemade soaps. The last bar I used took 2 months before it was finished. I'm always puzzled by other soap makers saying not to wrap it for weeks. I do give it away as gifts. I've had many people say this formula leaves their skin softer than any other they've tried. Thanks for stopping by. Lisa
Lisa'sWorld The concern with not curing soaps properly is that they can be harsh on and even cause chemical burns on skin. I'm sorry, just trying to be helpful since you said you were puzzled :-)
You can use distilled or reverse osmosis filtered water. Our local Walmart has a water kiosk where you can refill jugs with RO filtered water for about 40 cents/gallon. Cheaper than distilled. Tap water is not the best as chemicals in the water can react with lye etc.
Hi, Mrs. Lisa. Is it alright if I mix the lye solution and oil mixture in the room temperature? Does it really take few weeks to cure the soap? Thank you.
Devina Dany room temp oils can set up, so melting is necessary. Yes you need to let the soap cure or dry out before using. This cannot be skipped in cold process soap.
Patty J 😱😱😱 I know this is an older video but......... 😳😳😳 OMGoodness..... the soap is NOT supposed to be wrapped while curing. The air is what helps the soap to cure and the water to evaporate. WHAT'S IT ALL COST? WHATS THE TOTAL YIELD? I KNOW, BEC. I DID IT, & CALC'D THE COSTS: My yields for this recipe: LYE: 6.9oz@47c/oz =$3.24/D.Water 16oz@.67c/oz=$0.11/Olive Oil 40oz@15.6c/oz=$6.24/Cocon.Oil 10oz@18.75c/oz=$1.88; TOTAL FINISHED COST: $11.27; TOTAL FINISHED YIELD: 66oz($11.47/66oz=17.44c/oz); final loaf = 16" x 3 1/2" x 2 1/8" = 119 cu. in. / 16 1" bars = 71.7c/bar @ 4.125oz/bar (4.125oz = 4 1/8oz) ]-- THERE YOU GO!! / PS: SAME RECIPE IS HERE: ruclips.net/video/llCYabTAdIc/видео.html
Thank you so much for posting the cost/yield. You're the bomb. My organic coconut oil is $13 for 54 fl ounces purchased from Sams so not much difference. I just checked out the link. I'll have to check out some of her other videos. Thanks for watching. Lisa
Ok! I am amazed at the people on RUclips who're so generous with their time, which is MORE than the time, it's the time BEHIND the time, when you learned (& paid for boo-boos) in obscurity until you got enough talent/experience to show other. Thanks!! (and I long ago gave you a thumbs-up!!). ;- )
Thank you for drawing to my attention the fact I forgot to do that. I added it to the video in the see more section. Here's the recipe. Thank you for tuning in. Lisa In this video I demonstrate how to make soap using olive oil, coconut oil, lye and water. Ingredients: 6.9 oz lye 16 oz water 40 oz olive oil 10 oz coconut oil *** Use gloves, googles and mask when mixing lye and water. *** ALWAYS pour lye crystals into water, never water into lye. *** Always mix lye and water in a well vented area. I mix outside. Directions: Gently pour lye into water (will cause temp to rise) and stir to dissolve. Heat oils together (I use microwave) to 130 degrees. Allow temp of lye/water mix to reduce (approx 20 to 30 minutes). Both lye and oils should be approx 110 to 125 degrees to mix together. I strive for 110 degrees to mix. Temps of both (lye and oils) shouldn't be more than 10 degrees difference. If oil reduces too much heat again in microwave for just a few seconds until desired temp is reached. Gently pour lye/water mix in oils and blend with an immersion blender until you see a trace (swirl or streak pattern) following the movement of the blender. Once trace is achieved add scents and blend. Pour mixture into lined molds and cover with towel until room temp and set (approx 24 hours). Once the soap has set remove it from the molds and cut to desired thickness. I cut them approx. 1 inch thick. You can then wrap each bar and allow to cure or you can cure them unwrapped. Some people recommend allowing to cure before wrapping. I have Always wrapped mine after cutting them and never had a problem. I allow them to cure for approx 4 to 6 weeks.
I'm seeing this 7 years later. I hope you've learned that wrapping your soap in PLASTIC is NOT the right thing to do, really at any time, but definitely not during the curing stage when the soap is trying to get rid of water molecules.
Finally, someone who gave measurements. Thank you for this.
NotYour FavoriteAndroid use a soap calculator online and you can fill in your own measurements! 😉

you can use velveeta boxes and saran wrap and then re-use the boxes as Bexar Prepper does. Depends on how far off the grid you want. Lye will go down in a cool sink in awhile.
would these be adequate to use as a laundry or dish
soap please?
excellent Lisa !
Marlayne Madison
😱😱😱 I know this is an older video but......... 🤢🤢🤢
👸🏼 Look it up on Soap Queen..... I’ve learned soooooo much from her
Ms. Lisa, thanks very much for your posting your lovely soaps...However, shouldn't they be cured before wrapping?
I'm curious why you're wrapping them before they've cured.
Lisa
love the video and the soap color looks awesome. What kind of liquid colorant did you use?
does lie need to be 100 percent? i bought some on line for soap making and it said it was great but it is 98 and a half percent
No. Your lye is fine. Thanks for stopping by. Lisa
Hi may I ask what type or brand that color dyi or colorant is? it looks very easy to use with the soap
batch.
All in all great soap apart from the softness of the bar :) hope this helps
lisa I thought once you do hp after 24 hrs its ready to use I keep hearing that and that the cold process is 4- 6 weeks to cure and do you have 1 recipe with cold process
i havnt gotta my thermostat yet I also would like recipes sing sunflower oil with the coconut and shea butters I also ordered and if u have any recipes with oatmeal and himalylan salt with any essential oils hp or cp thank you you are very clear n precice loved your video
HP can be used after 24 hours however I sometimes find a white chalky look on the bar (very little) if I don't let it sit a couple of weeks before use. It seems to last longer when I cure it slightly. I'll check my recipe book and see what I have like your describing. Thanks for watching. Lisa
thank you so very much
Great video thanks❤️
couple of questions if you can help, with mine there cream white on the out side but when there cut there yellowish inside does this even out over time and have you used colorants to colour the soap and has it worked??
Yes. It’s just regular lye (sodium hydroxide) found in the grocery store cleaning isle.
Horrible manners this morning, sorry. Thank you for your support! I appreciate it!
Is it safe to use on hair?
Elizabeta Bihler Yes it is.
Hi, Lisa! Nice to see you!
my olive had canola oil in it is that going to make a difference?
I don't understand how the bars cure without air circulation....
If I want to add some other type of oil could I reduce the 40 oz of olive oil to 20 oz and 20 oz of what ever other oil? As long as it totals 40 oz?
I love this recipe! I have been making it over and over. Is there a way to discount some of the water to make it cure faster? thanks!
The recipe needs to remain the same in order for this to cure properly. Glad you like it. Thanks for tuning in. Lisa
instead to do cold processed soap do it hot processed soap , after cutting you can use right away
I have an emulsion blender that I use for making soups and things like that...can I use the same one I use to make soups to make soap?
I keep one just for my soaps. As you're stirring the soap it thickens and the residue can get stuck in the blade. It would be hard to get all the soap off. You can usually find one very inexpensive around the holidays. I think I paid $15 for mine. Thanks for watching and commenting. Lisa
What kind of lye is this exactly?
I wanna make this but is it okay if I half the recipe because I don't have enough? Will it work if you half it??
yes, as long as you make sure the ratios are the same
If I replace some of the olive oil with avocado oil would the lye amount still be the same?
Thank u very much ... but I need the ingredients in grams and liter blz
Great video 😉
What dollar store did you buy the trays from? Were they labeled anything specific? Thank you.
I bought them from Dollar Tree last year. I noticed they still carried them last week. They're the perfect size for this recipe.
Is it okay if I don’t use the scale , cuz I don’t have one
Can this recipe be done as hot process?
Great video. What did you use for the soap trays?
Thank you. They are from Dollar Tree. They're for organizing your drawers. Thanks for stopping by. Lisa
Lisa I love this soap recipe it's wonderful! I'd like to add mango butter to the recipe about how much will I need if I'm using your ratios?
Soap recipes need to be carefully calculated for adjustments. It's not a process you can adjust easily. Whenever I want to make changes to a recipe, which isn't often, I use the soap calculator here. soapcalc.net/calc/soapcalcwp.asp It will give you the measurements of each ingredient so the soap will firm to the right consistency. Glad you like the recipe. It's my favorite.
How many mg of essential oil should i add to it to not be too little or too much?
I used approx 1/2 ounce which is maybe 8 drops for a light scent. The scent will ease some as it cures. Thanks for tuning in. Lisa
Can we add essantioal oil for fragrances
Yes. I use many different oils for the fragrances. Thanks for watching. Lisa
another question Lisa! How much coconut essential oil can I add to the recipe? thanks!
I would add about 10 drops and smell it. It really depends on how much scent you prefer. Hugs, Lisa
thanks LIsa!
did you get soda ash on your soap????
Do you have to use an immersion blender?
Sorry for the long time before responding. My computer has been down. Yes, you will need an immersion blender for this. I'm not sure of any other way to get to trace. Thanks for stopping by. Lisa
Can i use this on my hair or is it strictly for the body ?
I would think if it's gentle enough for the skin it would be fine for your hair. I love the soft feel of it after a shower. Thank you for tning in. Hugs, Lisa
Okay, thanks sweet heart :)
We haven't bought any soaps in 4 years... we use it for shampoo as well.
is your crock pot on low the whole time u r mixing?
good job
Thank you. Let me know if you try it and how you like it. It's very gentle and leaves your skin so soft. Thanks for watching. Lisa
Where do you purchase your lye?
I purchased mine here. Fast shipping. It's also food grade which I prefer. It was very reasonable and free shipping. The trays I bought from Dollar Tree. They are drawer organizers. www.ebay.com/itm/Sodium-Hydroxide-98-Pure-Microbeads-2-5-Lb-Caustic-Soda-Lye-FCC-Food-Grade-/201631401778?hash=item2ef22b0732:g:sWwAAOSwT6pV3ibC Thank you for the support. Lisa
It's next to impossible to find it in stores and I haven't found food grade. Hope this helps.
Thank you.
:)
I bought some at Lowe's, because I was out and needed it in a hurry. It's called Roebic 100% lye and is on the aisle with the drain cleaners. It was a bit pricey, but I ran out. I usually order it from Bulk Apothecary, but if you need it right away, try Lowe's.
Is the Lye still dangerous once it's mixed with the lard/oil and gets to the trace state?
There is a chemical process that takes place and the lye is no longer present. This is the best soap, although I would leave to air cure instead of wrapping in plastic. It is fantastic for those with skin conditions.
Thank you for answering for me Panno16. I was vacation and just got home. You are the best. Hugs, Lisa
Thanks!

Thank you!❤️
Thank you for stopping by. Lisa
I loved the video I followed you and it went so good i want to make more...LOL
Lisa
Lisa'sWorld Thank you!
Saundra Frioux I read it is dangerous to use the stuff u use for soap making for cooking especially cuz of the lye .... I may be wrong though but please research
Is this bathing soap or laundry soap? Plz reply.....
This is bath soap. Thanks for stopping by. Lisa
What coconut oil should I use for soap 76 degree or 92
76 is good
Do you sell your soap that has been wrapped in plastic and not cured?
Hi Lisa is this distilled baby water or purified?
How much superfat is in this recipe?
there very thin bars ( oh oh!!!!!! mistake) shes wrapping them in plastic ( why ??? they need to breath , and get HARD

😱😱😱 I know this is an older video but......... 😳😳😳 OMGoodness..... the soap is NOT supposed to be wrapped while curing. The air is what helps the soap to cure and the water to evaporate. 👸🏼 Look it up on Soap Queen..... I’ve learned so much from her
I made 20% coconut oil 80% olive oil I feel like it's drying my skin. anyone have any idea why. I do appreciate it.
You should calculate it in soap calculator to see the hardness
Thanks!! (and I long ago gave you a thumbs-up!!). ;- )
can u write your recipe?
Thank you for drawing to my attention the fact I forgot to do that. I added it to the video in the see more section.
Here's the recipe. Thank you for tuning in. Lisa
In this video I demonstrate how to make soap using olive oil, coconut oil, lye and water.
Ingredients:
6.9 oz lye
16 oz water
40 oz olive oil
10 oz coconut oil
*** Use gloves, googles and mask when mixing lye and water.
*** ALWAYS pour lye crystals into water, never water into lye.
*** Always mix lye and water in a well vented area. I mix outside.
Directions:
Gently pour lye into water (will cause temp to rise) and stir to dissolve.
I allow them to cure for approx 4 to 6 weeks.
how many total pounds are in this recipe?
Sorry Marcy. I couldn't tell you the total lbs. :(
sorry but you must not wrap them during the cure!
I have all the ingredients!!! 😎
Great Wendell. This is an awesome recipe especially for those with dry skin. Thanks for the support. Lisa
I'm seeing this 7 years later. I hope you've learned that wrapping your soap in PLASTIC is NOT the right thing to do, really at any time, but definitely not during the curing stage when the soap is trying to get rid of water molecules.
An old video.
I never saw anyone wrap soap to cure. I think maybe she's learning how to make soap and got confused. I do like the smaller size recipe.
Wa🙂
why do some people cook the soap in the crock pot?
I'm new to this but, I think there is 3 ways...hot processing, cold processing and melt and pour. Hope that helps.
