*** Update: I posted a lather test short video (with a photo of the soap after 4 weeks) in case you're interested => ruclips.net/user/shortsGn3_6QosMkY I haven't made a turmeric soap in really long time, so I thought I'd make one this summer. In the past, I've always replaced 15% of the total oils with turmeric infused olive oil but decided to do a 30% oil replacement with this soap. Thanks for watching! - Holly :)
I’m not a soap maker myself or anything, I just love these soap making channels because I find them so relaxing. But you have absolutely nailed the relaxing video vibes the most. I love watching this stuff before bed :)
You are the only soap maker I've seen who shows us the recipe in soapcalc at the end. I am brand new at this and was so intimidated to use soapcalc until I started watching you. Thank you ❤
I was going to say the same thing... ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ It's so difficult to gauge SF and lye concentration etc etc from other videos... Thank you for your generosity...
The video quality alone on this video is echanting, I feel like it should be up for an Oscar, like in several categories, but the instructionals were so very useful. Ty for sharing for the rest of the soap community!
This soap is gorgeous. It looks perfect! The smoothness is amazing great video. May I ask if you strained your tumeric infused oils? Or did the turmeric get added also? Thank you so much. I’d love to try this. ❤😊
Thank you so much for the recipe. I recently started learning to make my own soaps at home and your recipes are wonderful. Greetings from Buenos Aires Argentina 💖
What a beautiful blend of oils and essential oils. The colour just glows. It looks like you poured off the infused oil but left the settled turmeric at the bottom of the jar.
I am just starting out, thank you for your amazing videos, not only do you create amazing soaps, but I love the quality and style of your video creation, brilliant channel you have right here, thank you so much!🌸🌸🌸
I just now stumbled across your videos and I love how you show step by step how to use the soap calculator. You’re the first person I’ve seen do it and I truly needed that to give me the courage to make my own soap. Thank you for sharing your recipe as well.
Really your videos are soothing to eyes 👀 and really great soap the one thing is best is you share your recipies 🥰your soaps are really interesting 🥰❤️ I followed you and going to learn and going to make this infusion 🥰❤️loved it
Question: How does using this percent turmeric affect the lather color? I would have loved to see a lather test for this. What a beautiful color and always a joy to watch your videos.
I definitely should have done a lather test in the video! But to answer your question…I’ve used the soap, and it doesn’t affect the lather at all. It’s still white with no color. Thank you and thanks for asking!
Hello :) when you pour the infused olive oil to the whole batch of the oil, did you filter the turmeric powder? Or you put it all including the turmeric that was settled at the bottom? Thank you!
Beautiful process! I loved your video. I'm new at attempting to make soup. This will be my first to make. Looks easy enough until I saw the soupcalc 😬 feeling a lil intimidated, but I will push thru to overcome it. Beautiful soap! Thank you for sharing ❤️
Try soapee instead. I'm a brand new soaper and I'm also intimidated by soapcalc, so I was glad when I found a MUCH simpler site, and one where you don't have to make an account to use it.
I made the soap and have let it cure for 6wks. I absolutely love it. My family loves it, too. They are catching on to me going natural for the sake of good health ❤️ Now to make more to be ready before I run out. Thanks again for the video
The whole time watching this video I thought this song was Princess Peach from the Mario Brothers lol. Thank you so much for sharing both your talent/ technical skills
Hi holly, I love all your soap videos and have always enjoyed trying it. The swirls and designs are amazing. I always try to get the smooth finish on soap that you make. But haven't succeeded yet completely. Thankyou
Hello Holly, I like your channel and your vibes when you are making the Soap.. could I ask about why do these " oven process " steps ? Is it important ?
You make the prettiest soaps Holly and your videos are always so relaxing to watch. Do you mind sharing what kind of stick blender you use? Mine puts so many air bubbles into my batter. I have yet to find a good one.
Thank you so much! I use a Waring Quikstik. The shaft isn’t removable but it’s the only one I’ve tried that doesn’t pull air into the soap (as long as I tap the air out from the blender before starting).
@@hollysoapmaking Thank you for sharing. I've had the same experience, they all put so much air into my better, even with burping. I always notice how you don't have tons of tiny air bubbles in your batter when you make your soaps. I think I'm going to try the one you have.
@@hollysoapmaking Do you have the one with the 7 inch shaft maybe? I'm looking at them trying to find one that looks like yours does in the videos, and they look a lot different except I think maybe the 7 inch shaft one is the closest from what I can tell to yours. Would you mind maybe putting a link in the notes of the video that I could use?
I definitely want to try this soap. I'm very new at soap making so still trying to learn the % calculation. So my question is how many grams of water and grams of lye was used in this recipe?
Thanks for this beautiful video. I have a question concerning thé percentage of shea butter. Is 25%not too much? I thought it was not too good to use more than 15 to 20%
Your soap very very smooth and lovely. If I make soap, soap has many white, looks like spills everywhere. Its not soda ash but. It appears not only on the top but slowly increases during curing period. I'm clueless. Will you please help me. Any guess?
Found your channel while seraching for turmeric soap. A lovely video! My one question is if there is any fear of staining when using tumeric? Thank you!
Hi Holly, new subscriber, please The lye and water measurements wasn't listed at the end of the video.... Also, after the coco butter, what was the extra liquid that returned back with it before adding the Shea butter... Thanks a lot
Hello everything is fine ?! I followed your recipe but when mixing the lay with the oils it hardens in a matter of seconds. I followed the temperatures exactly. What could it be?!
Hello Madam, excuse me for disturbing you but I would like to know the olive oil that you use with the turmeric is part of the 300 ml of olive oil or is it an additional quantity of oil? Many thanks to you for sharing your knowledge. I can't wait to do it with my 13 year old daughter who loves this kind of activity. Kind regards. Rosalie
I used butter paper in the mold. The next day when I pulled the soap loaf out I find the butter paper is oily wet. In your video the paper is dry. Are you using butter paper or some other paper? Wcould you please explain?

Turmeric soap always looks so beautiful 😍
Wow that orange soap batter is GORGEOUS! And the finished bars are stunning 😍
Your turmeric color is lovely! Mine always seems to get brownish...
I’m guessing mine will turn brown over time. They’re still a pretty mustard color but definitely not as vibrant as when I photographed them.
