Great video, I ended up getting a '19 big horn with the led package and I love the truck, over 5500 miles on it and I've had it since Nov 2018. After the break in I opened up the hemi and the smile never left my face.

“That job doesn’t look terrible at all!”...famous last words lol. My Trackhawk is so tightly packaged, this layout looks so nice to work on. These 19+ RAMs are so nice, they’re definitely in the running to replace the GC, especially if the TRX ever drops.

Daniel Garcia - I totally agree. A truck is a work vehicle. I bought a Big Horn for that reason. I live in Jersey. We get a fair amount of snow and I didn’t want to drive through deep snow with a painted or plastic bumper.

I just bought a 20 big horn to replace both my 03 Ram and my daily suv. Went chrome because after 17 years my 03 still absolutely glistens. I’ve only polished the chrome about three times and just regular wash and wax.

Krowns or Fluid Film for your undercoating. Dont ever use bedliner product on your undercarriage. It will dry and every crack will keep salt and moisture in accelerating rust.

WARNING - WARNING - WARNING - WARNING - WARNING.................If you have the LED Light package on your 2019+ RAM 1500, do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT install an LED light into the 3rd Brake Light. The LED's produce a frequency that when pressing the brake pedal, causes an interference issue for the Keyless Starting System. When you press the brake and then press the start button, you can or will get a message on the dashboard screen that says "FOB NOT DETECTED" and or while driving you will get the message "FOB HAS LEFT THE VEHICLE". Chrysler is aware of this issue and is sharing this with it's dealers and their service departments. Share this with anyone you know that has a 2019+ Ram 1500 that is thinking about putting and LED light in the 3rd brake light.

regarding frame rust, it is a serious issue to worry about, it develops also on the inside. Some reason they have many holes to let in salt water. Up north your underside is getting salt water baths all winter long. Your want the oily soft sprays, nothing that gets hard for undercoating. And they way our trucks are made, your fighting a losing battle with salty water.

    What's up with the Reno?

Electric actuated air dam. That will never fail. At least it looks easy to get to when you have to fix it. I am pretty sure the holes in the cross member are not for air flow. They are there to lighten the component without compromising its integrity. That's pretty smart engineering. The same goes for the ribs in the transmission pan they are there to help shed weight not for any cooling effect. A composite pan is terrible at conducting heat so it wouldn't be very effective at cooling. Most of the time an aftermarket undercoating is a bad idea as it tends to trap water making corrosion worse. This frame is not simply painted. It is an E-Coat in which the protective coating is baked on in an oven. It is actually quite durable and will probably outlast the waxy coating that GM uses which is a surprisingly effective product. As far as the minor surface rust on your suspension components, coating them with a thick layer of undercoating will probably again trap water making the situation much worse. That minor surface rust on those thick heavy components will likely not cause any harm. The rest of the truck will likely wear out before that rust becomes an issue. BTW....your RAM is a beautiful truck and I am considering one for myself later this year when my lease on my current truck is up.

also being from PA i can say i cant stand how much they salt here, it really ruins vehicles. i used to live in Washington state (where they definitely get more snow) they use a lot less salt on the roads and actually apply sand mixtures to keep the ice from being able to form as well as for the grip it gives to your tires. i don't understand why they can't do that here, we spend so much unneeded money on the salt as well as maintenance of the equipment and also the mitigation of the salt (which does not degrade) so it doesn't affect the water quality (the EPA has already made states pay fines for having too high sodium as well as chloride levels in ground water).

Hey ram owners ? Has anyone come across a humming sound on their 19 ram. It sounds like its from the exhaust. 5 .7 hemi. Please let me know. What it is. I took it back to the dealer but they never heard it. So then it just did it again. But sometimes it goes away. For a while.

I find the paint on my Rebel (2019) is absolute garbage, you look at it wrong and it scratches or chips.
You can drive a tank over my 2014 Tahoe and it wouldn’t leave a scratch. Very frustrating I find.

I hope you change out your PCM before you put a louder aftermarket exhaust on the truck, unless, UNLESS, you like the sound of a busted 4 cylinder Mazda when the MDS kicks in.

@@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA I have a 2007 RAM 1500 Bighorn. I had a FlowMaster 40 series system with dual 40's and Dumps, put on the truck. It was on there a total of 24 hours. (LOL) I went back the next day and had it yanked back off. 3 months later, I finally received my Diablo Tuner, hooked it up and turned OFF the worthless MDS. The very next day I went back to the exhaust shop and they re-installed my FlowMaster system. Never looked back since then. My wife has a 2019 RAM 1500 4wd Bighorn Midnight Edition. Thing is nobody sells just a tuner so that we can turn off the MDS. You must replace the PCM all together...UGH! (NOT CHEAP! $1,000+)
