Life is nothing but a competition to be the criminal rather than the victim. The only thing that will redeem mankind is cooperation. " Bertrand Russell".
Spirituality and philosophy are a waste of time. I spent years studying and practicing this and other spiritual matters, and the happiest I have ever been is when I gave it all up and decided to just live. I think living is the meaning of life. Doing things that make you happy. I have known people who deliberately torment themselves because they think that is what some god wants. It's so stupid.
I agree that relationships specifically love compassion are important our existence yet the question remains to b answered what is the meaning of life ?
Thanks for introducing us. Good stuff here. Life is not complicated. We are are naturally creative. So be creative. Be also the good neighbor on your journey and live thankfully.
The faith given to all beliefs can be based on both truth and lies, because faith is never up for being questioned. Krishnamurti was destined to teach because the society who nurtured him piled substantial amounts of money into his extensive education to make sure he came out well supplied with the knowledge to do a good future job. Kids don't recognise their own potential, the indoctrination they receive assures them of that.
Living in the present does not come naturally. Our minds flit between past, present and future continually. To live in the present is only really achievable when we focus on a specific task that requires our fullest attention and concentration.
"Meaning of Life", like Happiness, should not be a goal, but rather the road to it. When you look at night to a paddle, you should ignore the mud at bottom and rather focus on the reflected stars by the surface. (It's just one small thing out of many...)
The meaning of life for multi-celled animals which evolved about 500 million years ago on the planet earth (which includes human beings as the most recent form of great ape) is "chewing and screwing". Eating other living things provides material for the replication of the genetic material which created the structure the the first place. Sexual reproduction allows the species to transcend the death of the colony and to rapidly adjust to environmental changes. Every utterance beyond the foregoing is simply a subjective statement of what makes that particular individual person feel good.
The miracle of life is tha it is limited and we can give it back when we die. And we do not decide about our death or how long we live. Life means democracy. Everrybody will be able to live through the death of those who lived before us. We say thank you when we go.
Live and Let Live. If you see someone in distress, address the situation- don't turn away. -My philosophy, in a nutshell (because I'm a nut, in a shell).
Life has no intrinsic meaning. It has only the meaning that an individual human mind assigns to it. Enjoy that liberty and curse your inability to enlist the cooperation of the universe in supporting your goals. If anyone tries to tell you anything different, please just roll your eyes, and tell them to take a hike.
This view is logical. If the animals and plants can live a life without any desire for eternity or rebirth, we humans too can live a similar life. It may be noted that the majority of human conceptions do not even live upto the age to yonder the purpose of living.
I wanted to have a second opinion about the meaning of life, so I sought wisdom from Master Mu, the abbot, of the Gokanji, and asked: "O Master Void, what is the meaning of life?" Ah! That's simple, go to the pond and contemplate not the water but its wetness. When you discern the wetness from the water, the answer to your question will become evident. Take your time, I'll see you in twenty-five thousand years.
Good News! i discovered that the brain/body is capable of setting itself Totally Free of fear, anxiety, sorrow, despair, loneliness, shame, guilt, confusion, contradictions, addictions, irritations, triggers, vanity, envy, greed, jealousy, attachment, possessiveness, ill-will, hatred, cruelty, bias, prejudice, and all other mental/emotional disturbances, in each and every moment of daily life, 24/7.
This gives birth to True Love, Peace, Happiness, Creativity, & Clarity, for the very first time. Not the love, peace, happiness, that the I, the me, the self, the thinker, the mind, imagines it to be, which is a limitation, imitation, and distortion. For the very first time, Soul is happening, Spirit is happening, Heart is happening. It is not temporary. It is happening in each & every moment of daily life, 24/7. It does not take time. It has nothing whatsoever to do with time, effort, or choice. It occurs faster than the speed of light. The children are ready to be set Totally Free at the earliest age so they don't waste their whole life with any mental/emotional disturbances.
@@ilqar887 "Meaning can be understood in two ways. There is meaning that is somewhere far away, you have to reach to it. It is extrinsic. Life is not meaningful in this first sense. And it is good that life is not meaningful in that sense, because then life becomes only a means to reach to the faraway goal, the faraway star. Then life loses its autonomous beauty. It is just a way; the real thing is tomorrow. Meaning has another category too: intrinsic. Life is tremendously meaningful in the second sense. Then meaning is not separate, somewhere else; then meaning is in the very living itself. You don’t ask, has love any meaning? You know love is itself meaningful, it is not a means to some end. You do not ask if the beauty of a rose is meaningful. The beauty itself is enough; it does not lead anywhere, it contains its meaning within itself. In existence everything that is really valuable is always intrinsically meaningful. And life is equivalent to existence. Life has meaning. If you just change the word “life” into “living,” you will be able to understand more easily. Living has meaning - each moment - because living is not something dead like “life.” The word “life” is dead - all nouns are dead. But the language is created by dead people. Some day the new man is going to create a language which consists only of verbs, because that will be authentic to existence. In existence there is no noun. Have you seen “life”? Have you met “life” anywhere? All that you meet, experience, is living. Sipping a cup of tea, going for a morning walk, doing your work - all these small activities make up your living. And each part, each moment of living, is meaningful. You just have to be there; otherwise, who is going to experience the meaning? People go on drinking tea, but they never are there; their minds are wandering all over the world.”

"Yonder" is not verb. You meant "wonder", right?
@catkeys6911 Sorry and thanks. My intention was to type "ponder".
Live a life so that your clones will be proud of you.
