Based solely on this video. No, not a genius. Just a tormented young soul trying to make sense of life who perhaps thought his ideas could help or awaken others. The binary nature of his thinking is a product his time and place. Although, Eastern concepts such that represented by the yin-yang symbol would certainly have been available to him as they were to Jung...but he was only 23 and you cant read everything. Philosophy has been central to my life for decades for similar reason, so I have much compassion and empathy for him.

He did not take his own life because of controversy over his opinions. He was accused of plagiarism.
"Although the book's reception was not negative, it did not create the expected stir. Weininger was attacked by Paul Julius Möbius, professor in Leipzig and author of the book On the Physiological Deficiency of Women and was accused of plagiarizing. Deeply disappointed and seemingly depressed, Weininger left for Italy." He killed himself shortly thereafter.

But it’s completely true that men are more individual and women more conformist. That’s why there’s studies showing that when men are administered a dose of 150mg of testosterone they become less conformist in social settings. @threshencrane6355 Are you joking? Use your intelligence and study philosophy. This was a "fad" belief that went out of style. Let me ask you one question. How many women have started wars? Wars are started by men, for profit. That emotion which you value so little, prohibits a woman from sending their boys to war. Intellect cannot be valued over intuition. Intellect cannot be valued over human kindness and compassion. Look up the word patriarchy. It's a negative system which has controlled this world for millenia. Understand that this world is not balanced and it won't ever be, until men can feel and express compassion and emotion, and women can use their intelligence as well as their feelings. In reality, many women can and do, and the men are lagging behind.

Nature doesn't expresses herself in a dualistic way. Male/female, black/white, rich/poor, not genius/genius, etc..., those are just conventions in our brain. Nothing has an intrinsic reality by itself and everything is impermanent. Reality is nothing more than aggregates of atoms without meaning that causally create interralated phenomena. We give meanings to concepts. This according to our experiences, our conventions and our personal paradigms. Labels only serve practical purposes. That is why philosophical model that requires a strict dualistic paradigms rarely are descriptive of any real phenomena, and often bring attachment to useless concepts. Those attachments are the source of unnecessary but unavoidable self inflicting sufference. This because you trick yourself to cling to something, while in reality you are clinging to nothing. My view on Otto Weininger? He was neither right nor wrong. He just invented conventions for himself to describe what he had in mind, but it was not an ultimate truth. That was only his own personal truth.

Not that his Philosophy was right or Wrong or was true or false but quite often when one delves to deep into or at the wrong time and place one gets in over their head and drowns either by their own hand or others and even the environment itself. this is why well-known Philosophers and or Philosophys have levels and rights associated with them. This is due to the inherent danger and death that likely issues if not followed to the letter. Given the right Philosophy and practice of such it can and is so powerful it could raise the dead or rotation of the Eart, This is why they are fraught with booby traps sort of speak to prevent the untrained uninitiated from welding such power, some do anyway but are mostly short-lived and sooner or later do themselves and their fellows in.

Nah his perspective on gender wasn't flawed. Damn Satan claimed yet another victim. The saddest part of this whole thing is just how unavoidable his death is. It was his destiny to take his own life. He literally needed to tap into higher dimensions of consciousness just to live a full life. If he had surrendered to God, his mind would've been able to handle the truth. The same love he was searching for couldve been his home for all eternity. But instead society turned on him. The world murders sons of God, they make them sound crazy and hateful. So because he tried to understand love, and because nobody knows love unless they know God, He was no match for satan. Who saw him in the spirit realm removing the shackles off his soul and decided to end him
