So Roland gave us 11 oscillators, a sequencer, polyphony, modulation matrix etc for a price lower than Drumlogue! I know it's not a drum machine but anyway
I struggle on the same thing like 38:00 :) turning off pattern not intuitive, few extra buttons would help. Wonder if mussel memory develops over time.
@@SonicVibe gotcha well I have a MC-707 and that has essentially the same synth engine but is a groove box. It only has 3 oscillators, but I still love it .
Better yet, make it chainable, that’s just a firmware update! I’d buy another one in a heartbeat! As far as multiport, that’s possible with a mult and a variety of cables. I never understood why Roland, Korg or even third party doesn’t make a stand alone unit to do that! Not everyone has Eurorack!
4 mins in and I was cringing and realizing this hipster looking YT trophy showing uppity was tripping over himself, it was too painful to watch, I will have to mention this when choose " don't recommend channel", gross misconduct are the words I'm looking for.
Im really trying to like this product but tbh, I find the sound uninspiring. Also Roland have been a little bit disingenuous / cryptic when stating the units maximum polyphony/voice count. If you have a three Osc Synth, holding down a single note on most units will qualify as one voice… but not with this. Each Oscillator is considered to be voice so if you use the 4 Osc Machine and hold down a 3 note chord, that’s 12 voices gone. Roland can keep it.
@@SonicVibe people are running out of polyphony really quickly. That’s ridiculous with only 4 tracks of synth + rhythm track. At the end of the day, the poly count Roland advertise is disingenuous at best.
Just got mine. Loving it.

Powerful for sure! I hope you get your hands on one to demo.
Nailed it 👍. Drumlogue should be the number one on bad gear episodes
@@spectralknights2 luckily Korg dropped price almost in half now
Can the Roland A49 get its power from it?
Great review
The Filter, Amp and LFO are global or per part? I want to buy one but I'm curious about that.
Thx for your video, can you please tell the actual exact weight of this unit ? Sometimes this spec is not well reported on Roland's spec sheet.
I thought aux in was routed straight thru to outputs, no fx or other processing?
IKEA batteries last forever it’s feels super good , thx for the walkthru
Thanks for the heads up re Ikea batteries. I figured they would crap out pretty quickly!

So no song mode or pattern chain ?
Use an external sequencer

I’m going to get this anyway hopefully they will make a better save state and pattern chain song mode
I think it sounded very acustic. But maybe because of reverb effect. Anyway it sounds good.💪
I love this unit, with microcosm and Fable it’s an unstoppable synth! The internal FX are really great as well!
It's a beast, and so much fun!
I can see Roland making a bigger version of this with more voices and multi-output support.

Twice the battery life of the Push 3. 😂

Yeah that would only leave 48 voices lol

@@e-conrecords4665 there wording is 60 voices (varies according to the sound generator load)
If Roland decides to put this in a well made keyboard (for once) I would definitely check it out. Zero interest in this the way it is.
I can see that sentiment being shared by many. You could always look at it as module of sorts and use a controller with it!
I bought it because it doesn't have a keyboard... I have other controllers, better keybeds, and sequencers

@@CraigCrouse Totally. Really powerful as a standalone module!

You pronounce arpeggio incorrectly. There is no word "page" in arpeggio.
Sadly …these new sound great in sixty second machines .., are simply the pathway to AI taking over music .
Wtf are you talking about? Where is the AI?
60 seconds?
