From San Diego, seen them at the Addams avenue theatre. 8$ a ticket they were selling there demo first album, and the fuckin baddest to date , Show no mercy ...1981-82 , Tom , Kerry , Jeff, and Dave 15 yrs old Dave, and they were just walking around drinking heineken smoking weed , there was like 75 thrashers there. I will never forget it. Met them before all the stardom... Met Celtic frost , Tom warrior, Martin ain,... Back in 80 -83 the metal scene exploded in Diego, L.A....met all the guys from Bathory, Possessed, Death, Kreator, Samhain, Misfits, Bad Religion, Suicidal Tendencies, so many, fuck back in the day these bands didn't need security. The metal headbanger's kept it under control, of course the venues were warehouses and community centers and skate parks... Metal up...
He's been doing it for 30+ years. Like playing guitar, you build up calluses. Yes, I think there is a right way to do what he does to not hurt your vocal chords. But singing? I don't think it's singing.
