- The Poem Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night by Dylan Thomas , read by the great Richard Burton. Love this poem . My images are not worthy of being in such great company but thought I would share this none the less.

Thank you.
Wow.
Hiya mate, you not heard this poem before? 🙂atb Al
@@thevalleywalker Just thought it was really powerful and well done.
@@AlexMcDougallPhotography Thanks mate...
Great photographs to go with that great Poem, thanks for posting.
Many thanks Iain, much appreciated. atb Al
Well done, Al. An excellent collage of images to accompany Thomas's great poem. Watching this, I seem to have a bit of grit in my eye.
Evening David, thank you for your kind words - so glad you enjoyed it. There are a couple of images in there that cause that grit in my eyes also - the double exposure image at 57 seconds shows the house I was born in in Abertillery - the figure is the Guardian - a commentrative statue at Sixbells colliery that was erected in memory of not only the miners who lost their lives in an explosion in 1960 when 45 men lost their lives - it also remembers all miners who have lost their lives down the mine. My Dad & grandfather worked in Sixbells. atb Al
Most definitely the best 91 seconds of enjoyment ever Alan. The voice and words need no support or encouragement, and your images do both of them a great justice. Lovely!
I suppose I was rather cheeky enliisting the help of Burton & Thomas to show my images but I hope they wouldn't have minded. Your kinds words put a smile on my face for sure - I am smiling as I write this.. thank you Allan. atb Al
One of my favourite poems, brilliant narration and I thought your images are brilliant.Perfection..That should be on TV. Look out for poetry weeks. They do them sometimes.
Many thank EJ, you are too kind with you comments - tis much appreciated. Will look out for the poetry weeks. atb Al
Nice sharing 👍
Thank u
Love these bnw frames, what an amazing compilation & the poem is just as beautiful. Great work buddy! Thanks for sharing:)
Thanks buddy.😊
I love that poem and it's so applicable to photography as well as life as it was intended. Nice idea mate.
Thanks Dave, I did this little montage a little while ago but thought I would drop it onto the channel. My father worked at Sixbells Colliery so I had to include a few from there also the double exposure image shows the house I was born in Abertillery -. atb Al
Excellent video thank for sharing 🤭 🤝🏻
😁🏆⚾️
Nice video my friend. 🎉🎉
Thank you.
So evocative Al! That's a wonderful rendition of a very powerful poem, and your imagery fits so well with it. Mesmerising!!
Good evening Lisa, glad you enjoyed it - do you know of Dylan Thomas? atb Al
@@thevalleywalker only this poem...I should look into more!
Al this is one of your best videos yet ! You should do black n white far more often as these images are stunning !! Thoroughly enjoyed that and it really made me sit up and watch ! Well done for being different Al, it worked so well !
Evening Daniel, it's only a short one but I think it had the impact I wanted - so glad you enjoyed it - it was something different but I think it works ok. From the comments I have had it might be something I will look into at some point in the future... maybewith something less well known to see how that goes. Atb Al
@@thevalleywalker thoroughly enjoyed Al and look forward to more !
Some of them images are outstanding mate
Thanks buddy. Hope you having a good weekend. atb Al

@@thevalleywalker Aww :( sad times x x
@@wild_childofthe80s I was done Pemb way a few night ago.. that wasn't you spashing about on Marloes Beach was it? :) x
@@thevalleywalker Oh what!! Why didn't you say!! Mind you.. I've been flat out getting salty every night bar Friday as I was resting for yesterday's hike!! Did a nice 10 miler from Whitesands to Porthgain :) hehe, no, I haven't been to Marloes for years now xox
@@wild_childofthe80s Spur of the moment thing - blues skies not photography weather and too hot (for me) to be hiking. I am jealius of that hike yuou did, sounds right up my street so to speak. Years ago had planned to do parts of the PCP with a mate but he passed away before we could plan it. I have the book n maps so maybe I should resurrect that idea and do some. Hope you video'd that walk xx
nice one Alan
Thanks Mick - wanted to try something different for a change - seems to have been recieved well enough. Hope you are having a good weekend. regards Al
I disagree, I thought your images were fantastic along with the narration! I especially liked the minimalist image at 0:30 and the woodland image at 0:41 - but all were wonderful! Really enjoyed this unique video Alan!
Eveing Paul, thanks you for this lovely comment. I shoot a fait amount of Black & White but rarely shot it, and certainly not on You Tube but thougfht this was a good opportunity to put a couple of them on here. Glad you enjoyed - Not sure how well know Dylan Thomas is known in the States but I am sure you have heard of Richard Burton - 2 very prominent Welshmen 🙂 atb Al
Has anyone mentioned Al that you are very talented?
Not really but I will take this compliment with all my gatitude - thanks Justyn ☺ atb Al
