I am not a huge Volkswagen guy but this is one of my favorite Golf's of all time. Power/instant shifts. Tuned it will be a powerful weapon on Killarney! Keep up the good work.

I’m sending you this message from Atlanta Georgia in the 🇺🇸 I actually grew up in Cape Town and spent many Westbank Modified Saloon race days at Kialamy, where I fell in love with those chirping turbos of the Audis driven by Chris Aberdeen and Terry Moss. I just got a Golf R mk 7.5 and loving it! Done a few mods and planning more. All APR, so this video was awesome! It also was nostalgic hearing your accent and seeing the roads you drive on. Keep producing great content 👊🏼

The 7.5 R also has the 7 speed DSG box :) makes it run a bit better opposed to the 6 speed in the 7R

Really different! The way the car puts its power down is incredible
did you figured out why the ASR/ ESC sport interfered there ? Maybe pickup a obdeleven for these audi/vw cars so you can quickly turn off ASR/ESC. I noticed with my g7 there is actually multiple ESC settings before it deactivates completely.
So I know that with my 8V S3, which is basically the same thing, there's 2 stages of the traction control setting. If you hold the traction control button in for about 2 sec it puts in a "sport" mode so it's not completely off but brings up the icon on the cluster to say it's "off". You have to hold it in for more than 5 full seconds atleast, then it's completely off and will never do what it did during that one launch.
@@RacerK49 thanks I know that yes, also did some research, even if you hold it for the 5sec it only puts "ESC Sport Activated: Driving Control Reduced", this means it will be a lot more lenient before it kicks in with assistance, the only way to turn it off is to use long coding or obdeleven apps selection.
Indeed! The Sound you guys heard was it completly shut off. We think it was the DSG's management interfearing
@@RacerK49 oh btw Kyran, I did some more research, it seems the G7 works a bit different to the Golf R, it seems in the Golf R if you press an hold the ASR button for 5 secs + it will turn off traction control and ESC off, but for the G7 it will only put ESC in sport mode, thus you require long coding or OBDeleven. maybe the S3 works more the golf R does.
