Great video, really informative. I have a 2019 Special Edition, limited to 400 units (it's an Australia-specific model). It came with Akrapovic exhaust, 340mm brakes, Pretoria alloys, and Dynaudio stereo; abut $10k worth of options. What a car. I looked at others like the Focus RS and the i30N, but they were both a bit boy racer for me; I'm 55 so I prefer my fast cars to be a bit more 'sleeper'.
although they endid their production, does it mean that trying to buy them will be difficult cuz theyre not really in stock or smth? i was planning on buying one in 2years what do you think?
Just wondering i have a hesitation issue with my golf R (feels like its in limp mode) when slowing down approaching a roundabout then put my foot down to pull away quickly it sometimes just bogs down...i also had this issue with my polo gti. It's very scary when not expecting it...obviously don't happen all the time, but to be similar in both vw performance cars is disappointing.
I don't agree. Try getting a GTI without LSD to launch in the wet, even without a stage 1 tune. And of course, remapping an R with a stage 1 tune will give you the kind of performance to scare 911 Turbo drivers. I'd like to see anyone do that in a GTI.
@@RB12377 Try living somewhere like Britain or Ireland or north eastern USA; most days you’re driving in the pissing rain. A GTI without LSD is going to struggle from a standing start in the wet. I know because I’ve had one.
Primary ride is affected by larger bumps and disturbances on the road and challenges how well the chassis deals with them, secondary is the smaller vibration and harshness that may be noted either in addition to inadequacies in the primary ride or will stand out prominently if a vehicle has a great primary ride but poor secondary and is more to do with small vibrations. In measuring them the primary ride would be about 3hz, whereas secondary upto 25hz. Both affect the confidence in a vehicle chassis and achieving it on a car that has a shell used for everything from a small capacity diesel to an all wheel drive hot hatchback is challenging 👍

Stage1 gti is a better buy unless you live in a snow country
