The HK VP9 is the best pistol HK produces today and it’s a fantastic first pistol. Over four years in R&D, the VP9 takes its queues from the Mk23, USP and the P30, and is built with the best materials that can be used. HK does not skimp on quality. It will not fail if you run it like it’s made to be run. Congrats!
Dude I have the same flash light and luv this gun, I bought it before covid and it is truly the best gun I have ever fired. Fits the hand and a flat shooter. Had a glock and sold it lol.....german pistol all the way
The point in changing the sights is so that you can co-witness, this is especially helpful in the event your red dot is no longer functioning. Now that you have a red dot, your current sights are useless because they're obstructed. You could look at suppressor height sights.
I always shot black powder but I just purchased my first pistol and it is the VP9, unlike yours, although a 2020 model, it isn't optics ready. I also purchased at my local store and fell in love with it the moment I first held it. Interested to see what else you do with it.
Just bought my VP9 last month I love it! Great video I didn’t know they had a 20 round mag going to order some. Thank you that is one good looking set up!
For what you want it for, you've made some real good choices in my opinion. It seems like you did some research and all of the upgrades you bought are good quality and consistent with what you bought it for. The Vp9's known for one of the most ergonomic grips in the striker fire handgun world. All in all, I think you did outstanding in your choices of handgun and upgrades as a first time gun owner and you have a great home protection handgun setup. 😎👍
Thanks! I was worried I would mess up the look and feel of the Gun with the decisions but I'm really liking how it turned out now :) Thanks means a lot!
@@natry9353 as long as you aren't considering this gun as a go to war side arm, I think the Vp9 is a great gun for home protection. A vp9 sk is a great concealed carry choice too in my opinion. The only issues a vp 9 or vp9 sk has is in torcher testing, for go to war type reliability and only slight less flat shooting. Other than that I would love to have one. My CZ P-10c is better in some of that, but hands down the Vp9 series has the most ergonomic grip and comfortable grip ever. If it would have been as flat shooting and as inexpensive , I would have chosen it myself. It's a great gun. Whether your a new shooter or an old hat, the Vp9 is a great gun for home protection period. That's just my opinion. But I believe it 100%. 😎👍
Your 1st gun was a HK!! Damn! It's all downhill from there! 😂 CZ, Sig & Glock are the only other options that are going to compare to HK. Great 1st choice!
@@LTSRIDE24 No, no it’s not. US made Sigs are suspect and it’s well proven. The others you mentioned are lot, which is also proven. Preference is about which one prefers. What I stated is fact.
@@LTSRIDE24 That is an indicative response. First of all, HK didn’t submit a pistol in the trials, so no, the military doesn’t disagree. The military knows HK is a better product. Secondly, the choosing of the P320 was purely political. The Sig was not the best pistol. Lastly, if you want to be taken seriously, start with not tossing statements like that around. The military is notorious for choosing the lowest bidder; hence why the SOF community chose the “German” made (not a US made Sig) P226 over the Beretta.
I was thinking the ppq it actually inspires me to get the vp9 . I went in looking for the Walter ppq but the vp9 had a slightly smaller frame and had similar comfy grip . But ppq never left my mind I still want one haha
Great pistol bro! I have one myself. O lights are great but maybe give the Streamlight tlr a try. It has a much better throw to the light. I have both and much prefer the streamlight. Keep up the work on RUclips
Yeah I’ve been noticing how bulky it is lately feels like a tank. It happened slowly but I want to start turning the back to the basics of being tactical not just a beast . I have a smaller light on my conceal carry hellcat
Yes it was ridiculously hard to find anywhere else like eBay and such. Hk parts had it for $30 I believe . I’m a bit new so I thought I had done something wrong but no just ridiculously hard to find aftermarket. At least in my experience
Good point I completely forgot to mention. I picked it up at my local place called mission ridge in Texas. It was $720 but the upgrades ran it up another maybe $400 I’ve made a few changes since so I gotta make a updated video soon
Jesus, I got my Full size HK VP9 LE edition which is Law Enforcement but available to Civilians. You get 3 magazines & true nite sites. I got it for $550.00 plus tax. Brand New !!! You guys gotta shop around before you pull the Trigger, no pun intended
@@thepatriotsrock2 Ya that's to be expected though, with the prices sky rocketing due to the covid-19 scare. Some places sold out of everything there for awhile. That's gorgeous firearm and I too am a new gun owner but I haven't shot my 92x yet. I thought they were too expensive for me but sorry how much you spent on your gun? I'm planning on getting a few more guns in the future like yours. Germans knows what they are doing and that is pretty gun. (I meant yours)

I didn't know that actually I'm gonna look into it more. Hopefully I won't have to change much because I'm really liking the current build!
I have the exact same set-up. Would also recommend Talon grip-which I have added to mine-to reduce the slip of the stock polymer grip.
I’ll take a look at it. I like the feel but I am interested in comparing the differences. Thanks!

What is that adapter called that goes under the red dot and who sells them ? Is that adapter specific to red dot ?
