This video really helped out my 14U son.He was loading late and crashing back. Now he is getting into his load with the pitcher knee raise and getting to his launch on time. Has had tremendous success the last 2 weeks after adjustment. Thank you so much!
Exactly the video I want. Thanks for all good work❤When ball is off pace then how do we practice this like we need to load later and launching foot down later. Then we practice in slower pitches by replicating exact same situation in Live BP. But how do we imitate in Tee and soft toss when no pitcher is there?
Do you have any tips for how the load cue translates to fastpitch softball since there isn't a leg kick? I hear a lot about the pitcher's arm at the 12 o' clock position, but I'm curious about other takes.
It depends on the pitcher, but the top of the arm circle is the best cue to teach youth softball players to load (10U team coach and pitching coach). As they go up in age group, they may load even earlier based on the pitcher's pre-movement pattern. A good coach watches the other team's pitcher and tells the kids when to load based on these things.
Any drills to help with a little bit of bat wrap? My 9 year old is getting a little too wrapped and making his swing longer than it should be. I've seen one where you put their back to a net or wall and try to keep their back elbow from hitting the net as they load. Anything else we can try? Thanks!

Very welcome!!
The only advice I give during games to players is to be on time and make adjustments with timing. Great video!
Great stuff as always, very helpful.

Good job on this

When the hands go up, start the load is a good starting point. Will have to adjust some depending on load move and pitcher velocity
