Excellent video! Looking to move to the area from Arizona in the spring and really appreciate all the information. Thanks for taking the time to put this together :)
Hendersonville is a GREAT PLACE to live! My parents had a summer home on Chimney Rock Road for over 30 years and I always went to visit every year. Haven't been back since they both passed away but I was due to be there on October 21st and look for property there, but cancelled due to the destruction from Helene. I'm not so sure about moving there now...I'm in Lancaster, PA and I think I may just stay put.
I watched your videos a few years ago when I was interested in moving to WNC. I ended up about 80 miles SW of Hendersonville in a small town. I like Hendersonville, but a little too big for me as far as traffic/population is concerned. I also only go to Asheville when I have to, I hate the traffic on I 40, seems like I always hit bumper to bumper, because of an accident.
Hit hard in Hendersonville. The city is up and functioning and school started up on the 14th. Most people have power and water. People living and businesses near the rivers, creeks and streams or caught in mud slides hit hard. 7 people died so far. Lot's of help and food and water distribution and cookouts and prepared food by Churches, Boyd Chevolet , Local Democratic Party, etc... Saw Electric work trucks from Canada, Maryland, Iowa etc... Pisgah legal helping people fill out FEMA applications, many roads out but main roadways are cleared, etc...
We moved here 6 years ago from Charlotte. Moved to Charlotte 26 years ago thanks to IBM. Absolutely love Hendersonville. Please leave us alone and don't move here. This is paradise.
Ok, now we want to move to Hendersonville! Thank you for the wonderful, honest videos. When we're ready to move in a couple years, Lord willing, we'll definitely reach out for more advice. Please keep this channel going!!
Agree! Hendersonville is very different from Asheville. Much smaller, slower pace, and super cute Main Street. However, as a recent Florida transplant I disagree with EVERYONE that keeps saying outsiders are the aggressive drivers. I am tail-gated seemingly constantly by NC license plates. Yesterday a man that had to be in his 70’s was only a few feet off my bumper on a 35 mph road. Like, really??

Chimney Rock and Lake Lure areas have catastrophic destruction after hurricane Helene. "Smashed to Smitherines!"

@@scottcalhoun5524 so are you liking it there?
@@livinginashevillenc Yes, I love it, has everything I need, but not much traffic to deal with. There’s also other small towns close by to visit.
Hendersonville is the next largest City after Asheville in Western NC. City not a Town.

Don't want to move to NC & pay personal property tax on my car every year. No annual car tax in PA
@@jgrysiak6566 makes sense. Stay where you are
Probably the right decision.
Please stay in PA. we do not need your kind in NC
Good. Stay away 😂😂😂

Any black people?
@@briannaaaron1192 datausa.io/profile/geo/hendersonville-nc
There are more hispanics than black population here in Hendersonville NC. Majority white here. One black person on the city council.
yep usual suspects for all the crime in Asheville and the surrounding cities.
