Thank you so much for your videos. Very helpful for someone new to the area. Please let us know about the builder you were referring where you get more for your money and their location. But wow! Some of these comments don’t make a person feel very welcomed here.
@@lisaraub8529 You are welcome! The video about the builder is coming out next weekend, so stay tuned. I hear you about the comments. Sometimes they tell me the same thing here in the comment section. I swear internet brings the worst out of people and they think they can say anything hiding behind faceless avatars. I never personally felt anything like that in real life. Not when I first moved here, not when there’s been all the political issues that would come up over the years between the country where I’m from and other countries- it never impacted me or anyone i know here.
You are such a thorough, knowledgeable advisor with immense integrity! Big love and gratitude to you 🙏💖✨
@@bigworld6788 thank you so much for kind and thoughtful words🙏

The phrase "realistic home viewing" caught my attention. One tip to all buyers in WNC is to use Google Earth to explore what surrounds that dream house you want to buy. Here in WNC, zoning was lax for decades. Your dream home might abut the local asphalt plant, or the county dump, or a quarry, and on and on. And you might not see or hear that during a half hour showing.
Very true. Thank you for your input!
In NY this would be an average Monday :) Yikes ..❤
😂 Same where I’m from. Actually that would be mid fall
Love your videos. Such great information about what’s happening around the areas you’d be interested in, daily. I know you are a realtor for homes, but I’m in MA, had to move back in June, 2024, from Steele Creek, in NC, for a bit to sell here, seeing apartments that are actually nice near or in. If you can do🙏❤️
Nice video. I enjoyed watching it.
Thank you🙏
Looked around these. Worried about HOA's in future.. A bit pricy, too. Think of yearly taxes....
Gotta consider all those things and taxes + HOA fees never go down, but up
Elena's comment on steep paved drives and snow/ice is very true. We have a super-steep paved driveway (the cost of a great view). Our awesome neighbor plows and salts, but you still get patches of black ice when the night temp is 4 degrees F. We either leave town for the storm, or we just stay put till it warms up and the driveway is totally clear. Except for an exceptional storm, Asheville snow is usually gone in 1 - 3 days. Paved is a lot more scary than packed gravel base.
@@scottstephenson9312 which is why bread and milk sandwiches are in demand- everyone stays put! And yes, one patch of black ice can be almost invisible and super dangerous

@@barbpolzin5332 I know, but why bread and milk though? Why not bacon and fruit and vegetables, lol
I made a rookie error when I lived at the bottom on New Jersey and could not get back up that hill for a week.. Beware that city plows don't prioritize small streets.. Our street was a favorite sledding destination and whilst walking during the blizzard I did take a video of locals riding bicycles on Haywood.. I'm pretty sure that guy who likes to run shirtless in shorts (22F) was out there somewhere..too
😂 asheville is full of weirdos Yeah, no one’s coming to plow small roads/streets Stay warm, it’s getting 🥶🥶
I'm a moving back! My guy is looking at homes for us right now as I type!😘
Good luck! The market is warming up
You claimed in the video that snow tires were not available in Asheville, NC. For future reference, Jan Davis Tires in downtown Asheville does sell a snow tire, which is one of the best rated snow tires, the Michelin X-Ice Snow. 😊 P.S. I don’t sell tires, and don’t even live in NC. We just love those mountains and have traveled there for over 45 years.
Are they really? They are studded? I couldn’t think of the word (studded) when I was recording 😆
I think she meant studded tires. Very rare around here
@ yes!
@@NimrodScott here’s what my tire shop guy said when I asked if i can buy studded tires: I know you can buy winter tires and they can be studded but but that job usually shops would do it and in our regent i don't know a single shop that would do that...
My favorite phrase from all the videos you've done to date: "Listen, I'm from Siberia." ROTFL. We used to rent on Deaver Street, parking on the street. Our opposing neighbor had a steep drive that aimed right at our parked cars. My home office overlooked the drive. I cannot count the times I cringed as I watched their vehicle sliding down the driveway straight at mine. Happily, there was never a crunch. But there were plenty of close calls. The moral is - don't just pay attention to where you park, pay attention to where the neighbors park too.
Very very true! Some people just don’t learn from their experiences and don’t listen to others. And I’m just trying to get my message across 😂 the best I can.
What is your pinion of DR Horton homes
Not a fan, talk everyone out of them…BUT… the product is hard to resist for many different reasons. Working on the video about it. If you want to message me directly, I will be more than happy to share more.
Rule #1- do NOT trust weather forecast in Asheville NC. Rule #2- go get your milk and bread when they are calling for winter weather to assimilate quicker 😆
People need to stay in their own bounds of habitation and quit invading other people's homelands
@@DonjaAdcov-j8e what tribe are you from?
@livinginashevillenc I'm mostly European descent with Cherokee, Catawba and Saponi ancestry. My ancestors have lived in Western North Carolina since 1800, but my Native American ancestors lived there centuries before.
@@DonjaAdcov-j8e Got it. So, you're here because your European ancestors came over (invaded) your other ancestors' land and that's exactly how your ancestral tree came about. I just don't think it's all black and white.
@@livinginashevillenc It's more about the problem with outsiders replacing the local culture with their own and gentrification where people can't afford to live there except for the elite class. I'm fine with outsiders who assimilate and contribute to the locals. There are outsiders who earned their place among locals. They respected the local culture and didn't try to change it or exploit it.

All these companies have conflicts of interest because they profit from being bullish. I don’t trust their forecast. They have already been 100% wrong about interest rates which have stayed high.
Forecast is just that - forecast, they cannot monetize it in any way. Only market will show and economic conditions.

One of my favorite places to clear my head and get away from the city is in Gerton.. there’s many trails that cross over each other like Wldcat Rock Trail, Upper Hickory nut, Little Bearwallow, Florence Nature Preserve and the Parkway’s newest addition, Strawberry Gap. That road is the main road leading to all those places, including Chimney Rock. Thank God I have many videos and picture from before.. I’m scared to see what it looks like out there now. We are 3 1/2 months post Helene and it still pretty difficult out here .. most of us have had to change our daily routines, habits overnight. My bank, local Walmart, and job are not even there any more.

I have always had a good dinner at the Bistro
Bistro is always good.
I mean no offense, but Asheville is going to become yet another place for the wealthy to store their money in the form of their fifth vacation home. What is happening there is what happened to New Orleans after Katrina twenty years ago. Like San Francisco, as well. Not sure what to think.
I don’t think Helene changed the trajectory of where Asheville has been heading for years now. And it’s a complex issue.
Been living in Asheville for just over 2 years now. We are considering moving to Florida. I'll give you the NON - real estate agent angle. Asheville is beautiful about 8 months of the year. Between December and March, its cold, miserable and depressing. Once spring starts, its usable again. So many hiking trails and fishing rivers and ponds. Natural beauty and the FALL here is AMAZING. However, many of the people here are uneducated, hillbilly, inbreeds. I'm not kidding. Most don't have their teeth and are considerably over weight. Everyone smokes cigarettes like a desperate hillbilly. The last time they went to the dentist was during the Bush administration. Now, there are some things I like about Asheville, but the bad far outweighs the good. Did I mention homelessness and the CONSTANT gay/trans/bi/furry/nonbinary/whatevergoes culture here? They should rename Asheville to Gayville. Personally I don't care what people do in private, but in Asheville, the gay/trans agenda is front and center 24/7.
And all you hear about is the fire in California. The government has forgotten the Carolinas and others grom Helene the flooding and now the freezing cold. Shame on the Biden and the mismanagement. But money continues to be sent to those who hate us. Take care of America's folk first
Sorry I didn’t see you on Upperfell……we don’t get many celebrities!

Nothing like taking unfair advantage of the "less fortunate", eh!?😮
What exactly do you mean?
The problem is nobody is coming here until the government gets off their asses and cleans the area up,everything that attracts people to the area looks like crap
