People will soon learn that the estate is owned by Satanists named Vanderbilt. This is a well known fact. This is a major trafficking situation that has gone on with demonic, evil people for hundreds of years. This is a well deserved clearance of evil entities which humanity needs to have disclosed. I’m not referring to this woman or any residents, just the billionaire Vanderbilt family and “friends”. This will be disclosed very soon as this information must be brought out. This time in history is “All in the dark will be brought into the light”. It’s even in the Bible.
@@Transition333she said she was born on the estate. There are many many houses on the estate. “Antlers village” on the estate is where employees used to live.
I've been to the Biltmore House twice. Once in the early 80s and again in the mid 90s. During the second visit I also took the tour that took us to the servant's quarters, down to the kitchens, the refrigeration room, the pool and the bowling alley. I was ortunate enough to visit France in the late 80s and the Biltmore fares well against the French chateaux.
I went to Biltmore house once in the 80s and I remember that stood out to me the servants area down below. Walking up and down the halls of the main part of the house you can see bedroom after bedroom and it reminded me of Monticello I guess. Something I've seen before. But seeing the downstairs and the dry cleaning system bowling alley swimming pool was really amazing

Great video -- your empathy shows. When you noted the parking was different than normal, you thought to add a remark that there are always people directing guests where to park. I have some friends and family members who don't like to go new places on their own because they won't know where to [fill in the blank]. You had much kinder words for them than I tend to!
Attended college in NC decades ago and used to visit Biltmore at least annually. Moved back to NC after living elsewhere and have now lived here again for almost two decades. Can't afford the place anymore. Unbelievable that I could do it as a struggling college student, but now, w/how much the place has built up and prices have skyrocketed, it's just too expensive. I would recommend you go at least once though. Went at Christmas one year and it was gorgeous.
@@livinginashevillenc Oh, absolutely. The decorations were gorgeous. I believe there was a tree in every room (or every "main" area). One of my favorite places, though, is the view of the back of the house from that little pond back there. Believe it or not, in the '80s it was so uncrowded that my husband and I had a small picnic in that spot and didn't see another soul. It was magical.
Very nice overview. Thank you. In 2007 I spoke at a conference across town and we had an evening tour of the main house. So sad the area was so devastated by the storm. 🙏
Great video, I used to work at the house as Security and it was great to see the house and grounds again. Your favorite view was mine as well. Would make it a point to walk up there then I had free time between duty postings. Thanks!
Nice video! I first visited the Biltmore house in 1974 IIRC. Only first floor was restored and opened. The stables were just that, stables. Family and I would return when new floors opened. (We lived in Swannanoa and Black Mountain). The tours were really great then and always enjoyed our visits. But it has become too commercialized now. Not sure if we ever will visit again.
I was able to visit back in the mid 90’s. I only had 1 day, so I went to the house, shops, and greenhouse. It was a rush visit because there’s so much to see. Some of the wings weren’t finished yet, but I did enjoy myself. It was about $35, back then. There’s a lot more than I remember 😮
Now seeing this video, I now know where the cleanup was started and still people are living in tents because their homes were completely washed away! But the real people that are left are helping with the cleanup there!
The Biltmore grounds are magnificent. I know the estate house itself is the grand dame of it all but in my opinion the grounds are the Crown Jewels of the property. Amazing how nature has a mind of its own but very glad this wasn’t completely destroyed. Brought back memories of when I visited in October 2009. I was completely taken in by the grounds and the beautiful North Carolina landscape.
So is someone in the family a rural mail carrier lol I see got a rhd.Thank you for this video I have always love this house and the history. I can’t believe the damage it has done. I been going to this place for 40 years now and I always find something new & amazing. It looks more as a tornado went through.
Visited in 2019 for thanksgiving, went back two years later just to go to the cafe to buy pickles, you now need to pay the admission cost which has doubled, just to get on the grounds. Beautiful place but not worth the cost of admission in my mind. Glad I visited prior to covid.
Elena, nice video. I appreciate history. Almost any history. It would be great if you told the story of how you came to Asheville first time, and decided to make it your home.
I went to Biltmore with a group in February this year. Absolutely packed, the Stable Cafe had an hour wait, even with an reservation. Even the winery had an hour long line. Not my first time but it had been 15 years. I'm glad we went when we did. But so glad they're getting back open.
Hi new sub 🙂 Thank you for this video. Im in north east TN and I used to have season passes but since the prices went way up I haven't been since 2018. I hope to go back sometime. I always loved going there ☀️🌸💜💜💜
The Ham and Havarti Sandwich at The Creamery is wonderful. It helps if it's not really cold outside, but you can always take it back and eat in your car just a short walk away. Very nice video!
NO idea how this ran across my feed, but it was a great video😊 With that said, I LOVE your honesty about prices etc so if I ever decide to move to that area, I'll look you up to be my agent!😅 In all seriousness though, many comments here are people so worried about the estate? Those people are billionaires....I don't like to see destruction anywhere but I would've rather seen Helene destroy The Biltmore and surrounding gift shops rather than the white/blue collar surrounding towns and cities. They would've recovered much quicker financially. Thanks again for the video!!

@@livinginashevillenc your reaction to the name of a candy for kids was made complete sense, considering that you didn't grow up with that candy around. i hadn't really thought about the name in that way, but you are absolutely correct that those two words together definitely do have an "adult" meaning.
Hurricane Helene stopped being a hurricane when it hit land. The damage in Asheville and other areas are from lots of rain and some wind plus the dam breaking in NC. Most of the flooding was the result of the dam breaking, not the hurricane. It is absolutely bad enough without confusing people. The flooding was devastating in NC and TN. It will probably take five years to recover from such a natural disaster. I pray for everyone and want to help in any way possible. God bless y'all 🙏.
There is nothing wrong with the estate, It flooded in the usual areas, trees fell and some roads damaged, but it survived in 1916, it will survive Helene..

Here in the UK most stately homes, palaces or castles tend to be situated on higher ground. For the houses, this was usually to give amazing views over the parkland and countryside (most of which would have been owned by the family) or in the case of castles obviously for defence .
Thank you for that tour. I was wondering how they came through the hurricanes. I have ridden past there on our way to Tennessee. Always wondered how it looked in person.

You know annual pass holders typically get free passes to share with friends the first of the year. They expire sometime in March or April, but it’s a great way to come see it if you can😉😉
Great video -- your empathy shows.
Yes, it’s beautiful and expensive here. Did you go inside the house for Christmas?
@@livinginashevillenc Oh, absolutely. The decorations were gorgeous. I believe there was a tree in every room (or every "main" area). One of my favorite places, though, is the view of the back of the house from that little pond back there. Believe it or not, in the '80s it was so uncrowded that my husband and I had a small picnic in that spot and didn't see another soul. It was magical.
I’ve been waiting for a video about Biltmore estate, the grove park inn too. Thank you for the update!

Very nice overview. Thank you. In 2007 I spoke at a conference across town and we had an evening tour of the main house. So sad the area was so devastated by the storm. 🙏
Thank you!
Great video, I used to work at the house as Security and it was great to see the house and grounds again. Your favorite view was mine as well. Would make it a point to walk up there then I had free time between duty postings. Thanks!
Small world! I used to work there at the inn…about 15 years ago
Thank you for showing us all of this.
@@thresabeasley1812 You are welcome!
I have been to the Baltimore 3 times and love the beautiful house and area. It is so sad to see the destruction of Asheville.
Well done! Thank you!

I’ve been looking for an update on the Biltmore, thank you so much!
You are very welcome!
A hurricane…in NC…kind of like a tsunami…in Kansas.
They have added so many new buildings and stores A lot have changed since 2010😊
Yes they did!
Antler village was not always there.
So beautiful!
We don’t go inside anymore, just enjoying the grounds.
My sister and her husband stayed at the Biltmore last year. Beautiful video you did.
Did they like it? I used to work at the inn years ago
@livinginashevillenc yes they absolutely loved it. They live in southern Tennessee currently.
It’s a lot to see on one day! And now there’s Antler Village that’s the whole different experience. Lots of activities
Now seeing this video, I now know where the cleanup was started and still people are living in tents because their homes were completely washed away! But the real people that are left are helping with the cleanup there!
And we have a ton of out of town people volunteering/helping to rebuild
@@livinginashevillencI'm from Charlotte driving donation loads to people on weekends.

Greenfield Village at the Henry Ford is comparable and I can't imagine it being devastated like this. My heart goes out to you.
@@annemarieneubecker6466 Thank you!
I don’t think it’s comparable but I love going there in all seasons
The Biltmore grounds are magnificent. I know the estate house itself is the grand dame of it all but in my opinion the grounds are the Crown Jewels of the property. Amazing how nature has a mind of its own but very glad this wasn’t completely destroyed. Brought back memories of when I visited in October 2009. I was completely taken in by the grounds and the beautiful North Carolina landscape.
It’s so beautiful there, I agree😍
Thank you . I can't wait to see it.❤
You're welcome! 😊
So is someone in the family a rural mail carrier lol I see got a rhd.Thank you for this video I have always love this house and the history. I can’t believe the damage it has done. I been going to this place for 40 years now and I always find something new & amazing. It looks more as a tornado went through.
😆no, it’s just a Land Cruiser from Japan
I was wondering that myself!
That's how I enjoyed the smokies. Had family there and lived close. Part of home😊
It’s really is so beautiful here
Visited in 2019 for thanksgiving, went back two years later just to go to the cafe to buy pickles, you now need to pay the admission cost which has doubled, just to get on the grounds. Beautiful place but not worth the cost of admission in my mind. Glad I visited prior to covid.
I'm really happy that it made it out fine, but I'm not really surprised...
Thanks for showing us how much is safe! Was worried about the glass conservatory.

It's in my bucket list.
I've been there to see the gardens in bloom and Christmas. I think it was 35$ in the 80s 😊
Much more now!
We went 7 or 8 years ago, and it was $45 a person. I decided it was too much and took a picture of the mansion in the gift shop.
Elena, you have a beautiful family
@@nipperkrazee Thank you😊
Elena, nice video. I appreciate history. Almost any history. It would be great if you told the story of how you came to Asheville first time, and decided to make it your home.
Thank you for your feedback 🙏
I never think my own story will be interesting to anyone
I went to Biltmore with a group in February this year. Absolutely packed, the Stable Cafe had an hour wait, even with an reservation. Even the winery had an hour long line. Not my first time but it had been 15 years. I'm glad we went when we did. But so glad they're getting back open.

Weird. They are doin so well, and so very many STILL Suffering

Just like it was so weird when my husband went to Shelby the next day after hurricane to find gas for our generator, food, water, etc and everyone there carried on with their lives, played golf…like nothing happened right “next door”.

"sugar daddy" candy is from years and years ago. despite the name, it has been a favorite of kids for well over 50 years. as a kid, i never understood the "other meaning" of the name, nor did the other kids who enjoyed it with me.
@@MG-vo7yn so good to know! Can you tell I can never do a trivia night. Hard to catch up with things if you didn’t grow up here😅
@@livinginashevillenc your reaction to the name of a candy for kids was made complete sense, considering that you didn't grow up with that candy around. i hadn't really thought about the name in that way, but you are absolutely correct that those two words together definitely do have an "adult" meaning.
@ do you feel like it’s unfortunate that a lot of things are twisted these days?
@@livinginashevillenc yes. it is unfortunate.

Great video, thanks
Glad you liked it!
Thank you for the tour. We hope to go soon. FYI the Sugar Daddy candy has been around since 1925. It used to be called “Pappa Sucker”, so I appreciate the name change 😂

Thank goodness the Biltmore House is situated at a higher elevation than the entrance or the Village
There are some low laying spots for sure but not where the house is
Here in the UK most stately homes, palaces or castles tend to be situated on higher ground. For the houses, this was usually to give amazing views over the parkland and countryside (most of which would have been owned by the family) or in the case of castles obviously for defence .
