It's "you peaked" originally, and it's from DBZ Kai Abridged 3.5.
This is the one thing we did'nt want to happen!
The final stage is always a car chase. "Rupan Rupan RUPANNNNN!"
I have to protest the final point: True Zenigatification is not possible if your quarry is actually captured and jailed in an effective manner. The chase is eternal. The most that can happen is that you find out that they are themselves fighting a greater threat or higher level criminal, and you have to temporarily team up with your lifelong nemesis in order to bring down that Big Bad. After which said nemesis will, of course, escape when you're not looking, and the cycle begins anew.
See also Holmes vs Moriarty, though overall there is no true Zenigata in Sherlock Holmes, with the role being somewhat split between Sherlock and Lestrade depending on situation.
Also I think this may have spoiled the ending of Wilderpeople for me, but not in any way that would make me want to knock it off my to-watch list. If anything it's given it a bump, as I'm a sucker for entirely ludicrous 80s-style police chases.

Can somebody explain the etymology of the word "Zenigatafication"
Referring to gentleman thief Lupin III's nemesis, police captain Zenigata. November also references Javert.
Zenigata is probably the peak example of a cop obsessed with arresting one particular criminal. The most comedically exaggerated version of the archetype. His name literally means handcuffs.
I have to wonder, just how many drops do you have saved clips for at this point?
