While I think Jared Leto is [REDACTED FOR ABIGAIL THORN'S SAKE], I respect that this performance indicated that he knows exactly what kind of film he is in.
Well, he’s *supposed* to be saying something like that, but based on the meme-y ass way he described his role prep, I’m convinced that he was very deliberately saying “pasta”.
Since being shown this video by the algorithm I have taken it upon myself to become obsessed with this podcast. Thank you, oh historian. You are no longer the last cis man in this fandom.
Having had the (mis)fortune of listening to a lot of Italians speaking English, they do be saying "past-uh" when saying past. It's stereotypical, but it's an accurate stereotype.
As someone who only wants to see Jared Leto brought to justice for his many crimes, I regret to point out that "Basta!" is actually Italian for "Enough!"
I regret to inform you that a couple dialect coaches I've seen have said that his accent is actually one of the better ones in the movie, he just overdoes the vowel sounds that are tacked on at the end of words. Also, Jared Leto has a lot of uhhhh allegations going back nearly a decade. So screw that guy anyway.
Yeah it's an accurate accent but that's because Italians are silly cartoon people. You can't use real Italian accents in a serious movie, you have to alter it.
Of all the people currently in the industry Leto is probably one of the funniest to have "no opinion" on. Need them to do suicide squad or morbius next. Those have some things about masculinity, right?
I honestly love this movie, but for all the reasons of it being a camp as fuck overblown drama. This KJB episode is my comfort episode for that reason lol
@@killjamesbondhighlights Oh yes straight into my veins bb. I'll watch the camp Gerard Depardieu Christopher Columbus movie any day of the week over most movies.
The Abigail Thorn Conflict of Interest Hour
Gotta be one of my favourite segments FR
Which starts in the early-mid 2000s, and continues hopefully for a long time to come
I want them to do Morbius so bad now.
All apologies to Abi for this one.
What conflict would there be exactly?

Explaining history to an Italian Jared Leto: Imagine the past-a.
hey I have a pretty good Jared Leto as Paolo Gucci impression on deck
Presumably he’s saying “basta” which means enough.
To the cook who is currently pouring out his pasta, of course.
Or "passa"... literally pass the ball or overtake the other player.
@@cthulhex Oh good point. I only have a bit of Italian so that did not occur to me, but given the clip and the context I suspect you're right.
Well, he’s *supposed* to be saying something like that, but based on the meme-y ass way he described his role prep, I’m convinced that he was very deliberately saying “pasta”.
someone might have written it as passa or basta but he definitely read it as pasta
Every single time the screen pushes in on animated Abi's face, I lose my shit 😭🤣😭🤣

Need that criminal tax evasions as a separate drop
Good news!

I'm pretty sure he's saying "passa" since he's watching some kind of Italian football rugby game getting played
the criminal tax evasion drop is so doofenshmirtz coded to me

@@killjamesbondhighlightsIf you even consider doing one, they'll just cast Chris Pratt instead.
A lot of people say that he has a lot of allegations, but I've yet to find any legitimate sources.
Please, genuinely, share your sources.
“cRiMiNal PaSta EvASiOn”
-Jared Leto, probably
Worst of the Ted Lasso cameos
Italian Jimmy Carr
When George Michael's "Faith" started playing during the wedding scene, i thought for certain Ridley Scott had lost his mind.
Jared Leto has done exactly one good thing ever, and that is the collective work he did in this film which because of him is a brilliant comedy
Let him cook!(a da pasta)
His Joker performance should have been like this. "It's a-me, the Joker. Would you-a like to know how I got-a these-a scars? Boof."
I really want to see the version of this movie they described, easily one of my favorite episodes.
Of all the people currently in the industry Leto is probably one of the funniest to have "no opinion" on. Need them to do suicide squad or morbius next. Those have some things about masculinity, right?
7:50 Makes me choke every time. This clip may actually kill me
Jeremy's Iron Gucci
Jeremy's Iron Gooch
Jeremy Gucci, Jared Gucci, Adam Gucci, Gaga Gucci
I honestly love this movie, but for all the reasons of it being a camp as fuck overblown drama.
This KJB episode is my comfort episode for that reason lol
Pink?!... that right there ... is mauve ❤
Look he wears like 12 goddamn variations on a light red pastel suit, I threw a dart at the board on that one
@@killjamesbondhighlights For a movie with a million different fits on everyone combined I think it can be excused.
Shaking hands meme between Paolo Gucci and Kamen Rider Decade: “it’s not pink”
Nic Cage is chaotic good, Jared Leto is chaotic evil
"Boof"
Putting Jared Leto in one of those chinese finger traps so he doesn´t make "the gesture"
what they should have done for the super Mario Bros movie
Jeremy Irons looks too much like Gomez Addams to make any of his dialogue work in-film.
My hot take on cinema is that all Ridley Scott's movies are bangers (yes, even the one you are thinking of now.)
"1492 is a banger" is not what I expected to wake up to today
@@killjamesbondhighlights Oh yes straight into my veins bb. I'll watch the camp Gerard Depardieu Christopher Columbus movie any day of the week over most movies.
Ridley Scott has exactly one banger, everything else is okay to bad.
What the Fuck?
He should’ve won an Oscar for that idk
normally, I would be shot for being italian
Who’s the Jesus looking guy in the picture with Jared Leto at 1:18?
That's Jesus
