- Despite falling to GenG in the LCK finals over the weekend - T1 and Faker have managed to secure a spot at MSI despite months of targeted DDoS attacks that destroyed their ability to properly practice.
It’s a bittersweet victory that they’re going to MSI, but a victory nonetheless...

People getting mad at Faker's "excuse" always forget to include the fact, that he was directly asked by the interviewer about the impact of the DDoS attacks 😅
True, but I don't get why people go so hard in this in either direction. He said something which was a bit rude towards the other team, and apologized for it quickly after. Shouldn't be a big deal in either direction IMO

@@sebaba001 You might want to rewatch that game, GENG were ahead in gold, kills and drakes the entire game. Sure T1 killed ksante and got barron at some point but that was the only good moment for them in that entire game. It was GENG's game to win from start to finish.

As one of the biggest LOL players from 10 years ago, it's nice to see faker is still going strong. Sadly riot is one of the most corrupt companies out there and many had to quit due to their shady practices and lack of respect for the players.

Riot's not so bad compared to their compatriots in the gaming space, Ubisoft, EA, Activision, etc. at least when Riot promises you a game they don't put out a preorder version where you need to pay to play only to gut the game after they got their money (OW2).
I'm so happy for Chovy. I know he doesn't perform internationally but at least he has something to look forward to with the (currently) only player to have 4 championships in a row. And as a GEN fan, I never underestimate T1. Absolute titans of comebacks and amazing calls by Faker.
I believe this year is different. Botlane looked shaky vs t1 but I'm hoping GENG can take an international title this year

Funny thing is you say at least like his championships are a consolation prize. Faker's achievements are so great that it easily eclipses anything that anyone comes close to getting but like if you don't look at T1, chovy would have been well on his way to being THE goat
@@csy897 Oh I agree. I think that Faker is an outlier. Chovy is an amazing player but obviously no one will ever beat Faker's achievements. Dude won Worlds 4 times, and also won it in his rookie year.
But that's not to say I underestimate Chovy's achievements. I've been following him since Griffin debuted in LCK and how he started smashing everyone easily, along with having 100+ KDA. Dude is also insane!
GenG was from the get go the favourite, based on overall performance. However as a T1 fan super proud of their performance, and still frustrated that they did not ban the ridiculous K'Sante.
T1 still managed to finish really well even with all the attacks and the difficulties they faced... You can say they are the best team in LCK rn

faker doesn't need to prove himself because he is already the goat he just wants to solidify his position as the most accomplished lol player in the world. meanwhile, i hope that geng will produce results in international events by winning them all because if not, they will onlybe remembered as champions of lol korea and not the world which i hope will not happen
If the DDOs attacks didn’t occur I would say it would Been a completely different outcome now will it still be hard yes but I think T1 would of beaten HLE in the first go and the second to retry at gen g in a series of two best of fives which they might have been able to adapt or got themselves stomped but it would of been a banger 2 best of five sets
The rivalry is just too good. T1 can't overcome GenG. Probably it will happen but when is making it exciting.
Faker is still the Faker that we knew! The fact that he can guide his younger teammates to be on top 2 all the times was absolutely incredible already..
However GenG is just a stronger team in the LCK than T1 and that’s fact! Give them more time probably they can beat genG? We never know.. but this time genG did deserved the title 😊

Hence why T1 has won MAYBE 1 split per Worlds win in that year. And in regards to their opponents in their World's runs, Korean teams are the only ones that have EVER given them trouble. Meanwhile, LPL has struggled equally versus Chinese and Korean teams. And not only that, LCK is still the best region. Any best region, as the comment before mine said, wouldn't go 1-11 against a worse region. EVER.

Gen.G is so much more fun to watch than T1. All respect to Faker; he's an incredibly talented player, as are all of T1's roster, in their own right. But I tire of dynasty teams in any sport, and quite frankly I'm sick of T1 and T1 fanfare. Their 3-0 at Worlds 2023 seemed.... bizarre. I'll put it that way. I really hope Gen.G perform well at MSI. The roster is so sick.

Ksante was just too OP man and T1 playing Zac over it was a mistake. They could have won game 5 if they banned ksante or match a champion against ksante. You can see in the last fight at mid, ksante was just zoning T1's carries while zeus and oner doing shit on the back line without damage.
I also don’t like Ksante but Kinn played out of his mind just like Zeus was in Worlds finals. Zac was a mistake pick and Zeus paid for it though.
I feel like T1 has a track record of not banning or picking OP and super meta champions in decisive games. Aatrox at 2022 Worlds and now Ksante at Spring 2023. T1 has team fight capability and Faker can usually pull off god-like plays out of nowhere but they can’t do anything when the draft or lane match up is particularly disadvantaged.
Still, they try so hard even to the last minute.

I would rather like to see DK or HLE as 2nd seed in MSI next to T1 than GenG. I mean watching GenG is like watching amazing macro and map plays but insanely boring to watch for me. And GenG are international Frauds so what are we expecting of them, exactly nothing. T1 will be ranked higher than GenG thats for sure and Chovy will go home once again without any trophy on an international stage. One part that isn’t clarified here is that every other top team is affected by these problems. T1 weren’t in any worse a position as their fellow teams. It was t1 making it their excuse that made the news like they are most affected. Both before and after teams and journalists clarified it’s all top teams .

SKT isn’t the only ones dealing this, it’s happening to pro in every team and game; this happen twice in game of Apex legends. Only difference if this was SSG, G2, TSM and it happens to them, yall would told them to STFU haha. SKT is not the only team dealing with this, so why are they getting a passed and excuses and videos made on them about the attacks?
They were hit the hardest that even the whole T1 building was affected. Other T1 teams weren't able to play and T1 lol team even had to take on a penalty for canceling their streaming hours since it was impossible to do anything. Deft even once said that he got ddosed that day when he met 2 T1 members. Other teams may have been affected but T1 obviously were affected the most, a fact that you can easily see just by checking their soloque accounts compared to others.
@@funnygummy0 Two teams were hit with this in the middle of a game, which could have disqualified them. Not only were they hit with it, this was lived streamed to the whole world in Apex.
@@MichaelJrCortesExcept it didn’t disqualify them. The games that were hacked ended up not mattering and everyone get to play offline instead of live. T1 situation is different, their soloq account kept getting ddos so they couldn’t get good practice for playoff until they speak out about it and riot helped. The equivalent in apex would be if certain apex team couldn’t practice from getting ddos over and over again. A live match getting hacked affects everyone, not just one or two team.

I think you are missing the fact that is a rare occurrence for apex player to get hacked often in apex solo q whereas t1 player were getting ddos very often. The issue is that one team were unable to practice relative to other teams in playoff. That is not what happen in apex so your comparison was ass.
