I don't have the depth of understanding to answer the cool question, but can say Santa Cruz is a favored town to visit when cruising the California coast. Good sightseeing, Main Street, food , and music venues. Even has an antique rollercoaster of world renown , built in the days here salesmen used to draw up rollercoasters freehand and sell them to beach towns all along the coast, as a financial development plan. Even though I've only had it for a week and a half, it's such a fun bike to ride and I'm already looking at getting their V10 and might do some actual mountain bike trips to the Rockies in a couple of years.

Live in Montara, 45 minute drive to SC World HQ. Great to be able to drive down and demo a bike on the trails in Wilder and UCSC. Which has resulted in a fleet of bikes in the garage… sigh… But, yes, they are so cool!

It's the best riding MTB I've had so far.
@@simonm1447 maybe they did, maybe they didn't. Being a USA company I wouldn't think the name of a British bomb would be their favourite name choice. TB does fit tall people better than the average trail bike with its taller stack height. Tallboy is also a kind of bedroom furniture, a type of sail for ships, a large beer can size in the US, and I'm sure other things aside from a bomb. Out of those, maybe the beer can was the influence due to the beer culture that is normal in mountain biking? Who knows? You don't know, and neither do I. It is a good bike though.. and just two day's ago another random person yelled out, "cool bike! I love Santa Cruz", from their front porch as I rode by.. no mention of bombs or WW2..
You actually asked for it. You mean Pon Holdings and Doral industries? A hedge fund called Pon Holdings now owns Santa Cruse( and Cervelo, and Focus Carbondale, GT, Mongoose, etc...) Google it now. Why didn't they say that in the video? I bought my bike from a small husband and wife owned company(Cheech and Matt) . THAT is cool-in my little opinion. This is coming from a guy with bear repellent in one feedbag and a 20 ounce thermal mug of micro-roasted coffee in the other feedbag.
Great video 😃 The coolest bike brand , Santa Cruz 😃 you can choose your own colors and I like that . i now have cannondale and this brand is great , I like it a lot ❤ videos like this are always fun to watch .
Definitely one of the coolest companies out there for sure. I just had the coolest idea though. A bullit with paint job done with the santacruz screaming hand logos painted onto it. And now I want one 🤣
It’s funny because they’re skateboards we’re absolutely untouchable in the late 80’s way before their bikes. Now NO one would touch a Santa Cruz deck but the bikes are untouchable!
I quite like Marin. Cool company who offers a very solid bang for your buck. Great offerings at the $1k, $2k and $3k range, with a lot of steps in-between. But Santa Cruz does make some top notch stuff. If I ever want to step up to a dream bike and throw away a budget, Santa Cruz would definitely be on my list. The whole glovebox thing is a really neat feature that would be handy every single time you go for a ride. If you go with that, tools in your stem and bar ends and a couple water bottle cages, you will almost never need to carry a backpack even on longer rides. That's pretty rad. The great thing about MTB is there are a ton of great companies and nearly all of them are extremely passionate about the sport.
Having grown up in the 80's & 90's, what's really cool is that we have so many mountain bike brand choices these days (not to mention how much abuse they can now take)!
all other brand bike and model prior, came Tall Boy V1(8 years) than Hightower LT V1(2 years) and finally a perfect Megatower V1. Will there be another? Yes, another Megatower

I'm biased (I have a Nomad V4 that I love), but Santa Cruz is definitely up there towards the top. Yeti is a strong contender too.
When I lived in Redwood City I’d smash Demolition Run every weekend, and everyone had Santa Cruz bike… granted I have an Orbea
Always was, always will be, still love my old bullit
Great video 😃 The coolest bike brand , Santa Cruz 😃 you can choose your own colors and I like that . i now have cannondale and this brand is great , I like it a lot ❤ videos like this are always fun to watch .
I really think Canyon stepped up their game.
Canyon is definitely a bang for your buck brand and they are still very high quality bikes.
Definitely one of the coolest companies out there for sure. I just had the coolest idea though. A bullit with paint job done with the santacruz screaming hand logos painted onto it. And now I want one 🤣
They certainly used to be. Along with Cove. I think Transition probably have the edge now though.
Have to share the coolest mountain bike company with Ibis Cycles. Interesting that both companies are located in Santa Cruz, California. Mellow place!
It’s funny because they’re skateboards we’re absolutely untouchable in the late 80’s way before their bikes. Now NO one would touch a Santa Cruz deck but the bikes are untouchable!
Pace and Sunn back in the day
I love my 5010CC!
Santa Cruz certainly is the sickest bike brand out there.
They are also some of the most ridiculously priced lol. I still want one.
I'm a happy owner of the Chameleon bike!
It is amazing how capable bikes are today!
all other brand bike and model prior, came Tall Boy V1(8 years) than Hightower LT V1(2 years) and finally a perfect Megatower V1. Will there be another? Yes, another Megatower
Santa Cruz is a cool brand for sure ,Im a Yeti boy but, any chance on doing a Yeti factory tour?
My dream bike is a Santa Cruz bronson so I’d have to agree tho I love my whyte 801 hard tail
Santa Cruz Bicycles is obviously the sickest company… as they sponsor Keegan Swenson!!!
Moots is the coolest! Hand made in the USA. Also Lynskey.
I think they're kinda like the BMW of bike brands. Yeah, they cost a little bit more for what you probably get for your money, but they sure are styling and perform great.
I saw a polished superlight frame up in the rafters. Do they want to give it to me? Hee hee
