Thx for the vids. I actually have a 55inch LG led TV I need to change power supply board on. Uncle was messing with breaker box and fried it, smh. Ugh, dnt think the main board was damaged, by the looks of it anyway. And can see a few smaller bad spots on power supply. Just hope I get the right part. Light does come on some, but no pic, basically like TV is off. Hopefully it didnt get to main board. I'd think their would be something showing main board is messed up somewhere, but their isnt. Power supply has a cpl capacitors dome shaped on it, and a cpl darkish spots so looks to just be power supply. Fingers crossed. TV getting older hopefully can still get the part I need. Thx for your vids. Need my bigger TV back! Lol

@@mrbenjaminvincent turn off your room lights and check to see if the backlight is still on if you don't have a glow from the backlight then it can be led driver board or bad backlight LED strips that is if you have an LED TV. However if your backlight is illuminated then it's possible that your t con board can be defective, which is connected to the LCD panel with ribbon cables.

Loved the video - gave me the courage to order the power supply board and replace it. I did and it works perfectly. $85 saved me from trashing a 70" 4yr old Samsung 4k LED TV ! By the way, the Ebay seller said it would not fix a problem like the tv turning on and off......but it did.

I'm so amazed by your talent of impeccable technical skills (so genuine). I've recently encountered a Hisense Smart LED television dilemma and in search of an inexpensive repair, I began watching RUclips videos. My Smart TV will not power on, the standby light has a continuous red blinking light. I’ve attempted the unplug and re-plug outlet trick (still) red blinking light nightmare. I’m an elder lady confused; some videos explain replacing the Main Board, while others mention for Power Board replacement. I need your technical expertise and advice should I replace the Main Board or the Power Board. Please Help, this elderly lady is in desperate need of her TV while laid up with back injuries. Thank you, TampaTec

I've done the dark room and flashlight method and didnt see any images or backlights. I replaced the power board. I dont get any voltage on the terminals marked as P/ON, P-Dim and INVON.
Do you think the logic board AND the LED lights are bad?
Also, what should voltage be on the LED terminals/plugs?

Hey Tampatec, I have a Sony KBD-46BX420, mfg & purch in 2011, typical living room use, no harsh environments, only one move in its lifetime. Was watching as normal & suddenly video went black, but the audio remained - did the flashlight test to verify it was a simple loss of backlights. When power cycled, the splashscreen would appear briefly (backlights fire & then shut back off after approx. a second or so). After watching all your videos (thank you), I metered the supply board & verified ALL the voltages were OK, so I suspected the inverter board... I replaced the inverter board & the TV worked perfectly... for about 5 minutes and then the audio & video quickly 'chattered' off/on (for less than a second) & then back to the same exact original problem.... just like before, no pop, no hiss, or otherwise - just loss of the light engine. I suspect that something else (possibly T-con board per other videos) is faulty & causing the inverter to fail?!? My first question would be what would you suspect (I know it's a guess without an actual diagnosis).... Next question - if I order a new T-con board, do you think I will now need another new inverter board? In other words, is there a chance my 2 inverter boards are not permanently damaged & just shutting down, say with a watchdog circuit? I don't want to keep dropping $20 & $30 on boards just to keep blowing them... Any information is greatly appreciated & thanks in advance for your time!

Just a simple question. Vizio E600i-b3...No picture, no sound, no standby light. Most suggest power supply board. My question is I get all the correct voltages out of pwr supply board except T -Con V which should be 12V. I get correct LED voltages out of main board too. From some vids I've watched there is supposed to be feedback signal from main board to Pwr supply board when power switch is pressed to signal pwr supply to kick in hi voltage. So problem could be main board too.
Should I get T Con voltage out of pwr supply regardless of good or bad main board? Cause if I isolate pwr supply from main board I know that shuts off some voltages from pwr supply like the 24 Volts section for LEDs. So it makes me wonder if something similar is going on with the main board not giving feedback properly to the power supply and that's why I got no t-con voltage. I hope this makes sense.

I have an older Insignia 65 inch. Red indicator light is on. TV will try to boot and get to the Insignia screen and maybe a half second later the screen goes all black. Tried all of the unplugging and replacing batteries. Any other suggestions. I've considered opening to see if any fuses were blown. Did that before on the tube TV's but never tried to open a flat

    Thanks for an informative video.
I have this LG TV. Recently, it started to misbehave. When it is plugged to power, it can be turned on with the remote (can't be turned on with the power button on the TV). But once it's on, it doesn't respond both to the remote and the power button. What can I do? Thanks.

KDL 32 M3000 Sony, TV off no STBY light, TO with remote or hard button, Back lighting is apparent green power on is lite, So I'm thinking G1M (power board) is good, and maybe BM (Main Logic) is ok, so T-conn is culprit. The boards are available and aren't terribly expensive. I've looked at the Sony parts and diagnostic manual and also tried the Display+5+volume up then on and no menu or anything beyond backlight. Any thoughts to add or should I do the T-Conn and see?
Thanks, Great Videos and good content...

Watching this video a few times, From my checks I think my TCon board is bad. I have a 24" Element TV, I get a standby light and it also turns blue after pressing the Power button. The screen lights up with the element splash screen then goes black. But I still have the sound of the channel. Looking at your parts recommendations I checked for my board PT and no one has it available!. The board is LS2204037-00-GP(1003). All the capacitors look OK and there are no burnt spots on the board. Any ideas for me before I just scrap the TV? Thanks again for your videos.

advice please. have a samsung, powers on, backlights come on but no picture or sound. checked all voltages coming from psu and fine. would it be the Tcon or video card?

Tcon board or main board. Sometimes tcon board is built into the main board. Get TV boards at shopjimmy.com and Electropartsonline.com

I replaced the entire logic board as the original one stopped working. Put it back, plugged all the connections, but although the bottom light on the unit is on (blinking red), it does not turns when using the remote control.
The TV does not produce any sound or image. Any suggestions? It is a Hisense Model 50RGE1

Hi Sam, I don't have a TV shop and only fix tvs as a hobby. Your TV is a Plasma TV and doesn't have a backlight like LCD and LED tvs do. if your tv fell then it most likely has a cracked plasma tv panel but to be sure you have to disassemble the tv to check for cracks. you can sell your TV broken or sell the TV boards for $55 each on ebay. hope that helps.

Hey TampaTec I have an LG TV (55UH6030UC). It will not turn on or off with the remote but the TV power button works just fine. I was told that the Main Board is the problem. My TV uses LG 55UH6030-UC AUSWLJR main board but I see LG 55UH6030-UC BUSWLJR. What is the difference and can I use a BUSWLJR board on a TV that has an AUSWLJR board?

been having trouble with hisense 50 inch for awhile. at first and for about 3 months now, ive been unplugging the power cord for 60 seconds, and that has worked till this morning. now reseting by doing that wont do the trick. would a power cord itself possibly fix my problem, or have you ever seen that? the tv is out of warranty, i have a multi meter and am willing to try testing it like the other video you have shows for 5 volts.
