Fun fact: Preface of fun fact:: when I first heard this song I wondered about it because the lyrics are basically saying 'mommy says I'll own a big boat someday.' Actual fact: That's because the English version of the song comes from a translation from the skald (Norse poem story song) done around 100 years ago and done badly. If you look into the story behind this song, its basically about a psychopath who killed a bunch of people with his bare hands when he was 10 and his mother was proud of her little monster, telling him that in stead of putting him under house arrest, the village should buy him a Viking raiding ship right then and there and send him out to show them how its done.

Not her voice. The voice belongs to a very talented singer, known on the Internet simply as “Malinda”. She is easy to find on RUclips. The creator of this video has been systematically lip-syncing to pieces performed by Malinda, passing them off as her own without giving any credit to the original performer. I’ve seen the comment sections of some of the other videos where dozens of different informed commenters are begging her to give credit where it is due. Nothing wrong with lip-sync, and the make- up is cool and whatnot. The problem is not giving credit.
