My great friend Jake Makin helped inspire me to figure out how to make my own stencils. Heres me attempting to make any sense out of my process for people who are JUST beginning.
There are absolutely many different ways to go about doing this, this is just the way i prefer!

Nothing in this video was sponsored, all opinions are my own, as they should be.
I use freezer paper for my t shirt stencils. You can iron it on and it peels off with no residue. Works great for that.
zencat55 neat!! I’ve never even heard of this method! Thanks for sharing!
you all prolly dont care at all but does someone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account?
I somehow lost the account password. I love any help you can give me!
@Tyson Jayden Instablaster :)
@Abel Wesson I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im trying it out atm.
Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Abel Wesson it worked and I finally got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thank you so much, you saved my ass!
Great video I have a suggestion for anyone who may need a bigger screen size to trace their stencil on you can connect your laptop or desktop to your tv Via HDMI so your PC screen can be mirrored for bigger display
Hell yeah I've been using comp screens to transfer logos for years. For small screens I just open the logo in Ms paint and zoom in and move the logo as needed as you trace it
Thought I was the only one doing it this way haha
Hell yeah! Ms paint would work real well too! I couldn’t imagine using anything else, it works so damn well! & you can make it any size!!
Where do you get your plastic sheets?
Perfect timing! I'm going to stencil band logos on a pair of pants before the end of the week, and I was planning on just using acrylic paint, but I think a trip to Michaels is in my future now.
Emerald H yay!! Make sure you download their app because they often offer 40% off one item coupons that come in HANDY! ♥️
Livingdeadgirll definitely! They almost always have coupons. Have a good weekend!
I love this! I cannot find a back patch for my denim jacket so definitely going to try this out thank you so much for sharing 🖤
Kayleigh Hadley I’m so glad! Let me know how it goes! With denim it’s a bit trickier to hide any mistakes BUT you can always make a black or white boarder around each letter to smooth out the edges!
Hey Cory I am not sure why but RUclips for some reason really really wants me to watch your video on SLIT LEGGINGS ....LOL That video is always there when I scroll down....It makes me laugh, I have been see'in that same thumbnail on the daily for like a year 🤣 & I am not exaggerating at all....A YEAR !
Billy Davidson hahahahaha!!!!! Oh man!! It’s one that seemingly blew up BECAUSE of it being in peoples recommended list! The views on that blow my mind because it’s not a very good video AT ALL! Hahaha. I look back and cringe.
@@Livingdeadgirll I watched it & I learned things I didn't know...LOL
Billy Davidson hahahah maybe now they’ll leave you alone!! 😂😂😂
It's crazy bru y'all didn't even know what was going to come anyway good video
Don't know if someone already mentioned it but a good substitute for glue is adhesive spray at a craft store...either way cool video 🙌
that came out AWESOME
ClandestineGirl16X thank you!! I was nervous!! Always nervous when I’m filming!
Can't wait to try this out on my DIY projects! Totally helpful tutorial Cori❤️
Dani Stine yahoooo! I always get nervous making tutorials because I’m worried they’ll be hard to follow along!
Wouldn’t fabric paint be a better option instead of acrylic? I know acrylics can crack and peal
Awesome video! Been getting into diy stuff for about half a year now and I’m always trying to look for ways to do it better
Wow this really helped me find out how to do this! Thanks!👍👍
Posting like a boss Cori! Great info 💚
Grin and bear it thanks friend! The spring in the air has awoken the creative inside of me! ☺️ I feel MYSELF when the world around me thaws.
Holy shit this tutorial is amazing. Going to try this this weekend. I saw one of your videos with your man showing how to polish docs years ago, it's funny how I found this awesome channel again.
awwww yay! Glad you stumbled back here!
Cori you are amazing! I tried to stencil a purse a couple months ago and it did NOT work! Now I know how to do it! Thank you so much!
very informative thanks, btw, love the motorhead stencil...
This was amazing. Thank you!
JP blooperz make me smile!
Hi Cory. Thanks for sharing this diy! Could you tell me what those plastic sheets are called? Thanks! :)
Nice technique🌈✨, also very good explanation👍
This video is so great and you are brilliant Cori! The end makes me miss you guys tons!
Have you tried double sided removable tape
thanks for this dude! just got a new sub
Thank you
I have used block lettering forever, I will have to try and use some plastic sheets and see what happens thanks my friend. 👊🏻
Chris Garciduenas you bet! It works like a charm! I always keep them handy incase I want to make another one! It’s a little less bulky to store than big screen printing sheets!
🙌🏾🙏🏾 thank you !
yes!!!!!so dope!!!
Absolutely Outstanding Artistically Creativity Reinventing Clothes Very Interesting To Watch For Ideas : Thank You For Sharing
thank you so much , i really want to finish my first jacket and i want it to be good !
chay it will be, because YOU made it!! 👌🏼✨
Livingdeadgirll That's so motivating ! Thank you , love !!!!
The video was so helpful! Curious about what font you used for the jacket?
What/where is that plastic from?
Ella Banker apparently Michaels has clear plastic sheets
Ella Banker my local craft store! I just told them what I was trying to make and that I needed a sheet, they had a big roll of it that they cut a few feet off for me!
Omg my name is Cori too!!!
you are awesome thank you😆
Thanks for the video I was making a stencil yesterday for my jacket and it failed horribly I have to try this method out
offyellow ish hell yeah! They’re a tricky practice! My first few had quite a bit of leaking under near the patch but I learned quickly that I needed to be more precise with my glue and press it into the fabric real good!
So this how we used to do it before the cricut machine
Saw Capricorn and went to your etsy to see if it was like a cool hoodie so something but nothing was listed in your shop 😔
anyone know what glue is safe to use for fabric. Say if it's not leather and you need it to be something fibers can't absorb
Where did you get the plastic sheets from? And is there a name for them in the store or is it just plastic?
The local craft store, i asked the clerk at the desk, described i needed clear plastic sheets that would be a decent size and she pulled out a great big roll of this plastic sheeting and cut me a slice!
You can find them at Jo-Anns or Walmart at the sewing table/section. They have rolls of different plastics.
Cori, nice jacket.
YES , the video ive been waiting for 😂
Do you test these stencils on another surface before applying to fabric? Like on paper or wood?
whitezombified you CAN, but I never do! I just glue, wait to become tacky & then stick it directly to the garment!
whitezombified I told you I’d get to it.. EVENTUALLY! 😂😂😂
Thx !!!!
omg thank u!!!
Merci pour cette vidéo, c'est super beau 😍😘🖤❤💖
Fooky googey wookie
how well do you think spray paint would work?
Ob spray paint chips off really easy! My boyfriend did his entire arm of his jacket in spray paint and was leaving little paint flex every-freaking-where! It does look kinda neat, it’s all chipped away and vintage looking, but if that’s not what you’re going for then it’s not gonna work.
@@Livingdeadgirll ok cool thanks for the tip
you did those bangs yourself LOL
Genius!
stachelbeere91 works like a charm!! 👌🏼♥️
I hardly ever subscribed on the first video but today I did. Everything you said and did was an answered question. I must say, you were starting to look a bit haggard towards the end 🤪
Where do you get your stuffs from
angelina gigic there’s a small local craft store a few blocks from my house! 😊
Nice jop love you girl i wich all the best for you ❤❤❤
these one are spc hi-po-lice it hits pull the i.p pull the plug.... ba-bye.......
Instead of using lash glue why don’t you just use glue dots or an adhesive double sided tape, you won’t have to use books either
Seems more logical but the lash glue isn’t that bad
Ray :3 hahaha logic isn’t my first language. You can use anything that’s sticky! Tape may be hard to get in the very small and curved areas. You can use any glue that you’re sure won’t leave residue & doesn’t dry completely solid! I just like to be honest about what I use! ☺️
