Excellent insight into the pinned shared option. I use Textra as a third-party messaging app and it had been on the last screen. So annoying. Thank you for helping me fix that!
How about this one, after selecting a video when I want to share it to RUclips it's not even an option? Like I get an option to share it to my neighbor's ring doorbell but not a video to RUclips??!!😂 Seems like the most common suggestion is not even present. It's not that big of a hassle to go to RUclips and hit the plus icon and find the video to upload but it's just weird their default options to share.

You're going to love it. There will be subtle things about Samsung you'll miss, but the one plus is fantastic and will easily help you have a short memory.
Once I sell all my Commodore/Amiga items on eBay, I'll hopefully get the One Plus open finally. This looks like an exciting device to have!!! Thank you Shane for all that you do. I'm STILL rocking my DUO2 and love it.
Great tips there! especially the keyboard location one, much easier to type on now. The amount of time I used to accidentally press the keyboard input method used to get annoying, looks much better as well.
The air gestures are great for when you're cooking and looking at a recipe on the Open!
Bro! ❤ I bought the pixel fold because your videos made me feel sure it was gonna be a good purchase and now I bought and got my oneplus open yesterday even though I don't need it lol I've been following you since back in the surface 1 and been buying devices pretty much when you do but it's getting expensive 😂 love this open though.

The scroll gesture is fantastic but the respond speed should be faster, it should be optimised. The screen shot is a must-have feature I love that feature. The other air gesture features are fantastic too and the quick access to running background apps is super convenient to control how they function. 😎💯👊🏾👍🏾 The icon pack is a kool feature to own but it appears to have some uninteresting or mundane icons. The icons pack should be exciting!.. 😊

Can you look at your one plus open on RUclips and when you press on the plus sign see if you have the shorts tab because my son and my open does not. The shorts tab disappeared. Can find a way to fix it. Thank you
My one plus 9 pro was in developer mode and i transferred the data to the open . And devloper mode on the open was already unlocked i discovered after tapping the build number.
I can suggest 2 icon packs that i love and use because it reminds me my nokia n9 they are called "meeyo" and "meeye", i will probably install nova launcher select one of these icon packs and make the font noka pure as soon as the phone arrives, just like what im using right now with my Samsung s20
Great Tips, partial screenshot tip was the best. So far I really like this phone but still rocking my Duo because I use the slim pen sooooo much. Multi-tasking takes a bit to get use to on this device but the camera quality, ability to take a picture unfolded, excellent battery life, and quick charging makes it the true winner of all the foldable out there now. However, after about a month of using this device I am convinced in Microsoft or Oneplus made a dual screen phone the "same size" as the Surface Duo with dual glass screens and all the software upgrades oneplus has added to android skin I would still prefer the dual screens. Oneplus just did what Microsoft didn't do - nailed the software. And the only sacrifice would be having to open it to take a photo but I think just putting a small half screen on the front of the device (like Samsung fold) for notifications and quick photo viewing would be the answer to that if they didn't want to put a full screen there. Unfortunately for me, the pen is a must and a comfortable pen like the slim pen is the best...the samsung pen is not my favorite. We'll thanks for the great content.
if the 2nd version of this phone is slightly thinner/lighter, and supports a pen on both screens ... it would hit a massive homerun
Buying an Open. What music and video player should I use?
The hand scrolling would come in handy if you're cooking and have messy hands and need to scroll!

No idea. 16:9 content is something like 6.5" diagonal when fullscreen.
I am having issues getting notifications from some Apps despite allowing it to run in the background.
traded my s23 Ultra on the One Plus Open. I loved it until I didn't. I was watching a video in the kitchen. I closed the phone and walked to my living room. I opened the phone and it had lines all over it. I called One Plus and shipped it in for repairs. They received it 1-19-2024 as of today 2-20-2024 I haven't heard from them. I emailed and chatted and they keep saying someone will get in touch with me. Like I said the phone is great until it isn't. They're warranty and repair is horrible. They're communication for repairs is beyond horrible.

Not being able to set custom icons per-app because of that bug is infuriating. Essentially makes custom icons useless to me. And from what I hear it's still not fixed on OOS 14. Really disappointing.
It's definitely one I hope to see fixed soon. I know there's an update rolling out currently but I've not gotten it yet.

Obsessed with mine. Upgraded my S23 Ultra to Android 14 a few days ago and it's just boring by comparison even with the newer OS
Do all apps work on moveable window mode or split screen like Surface Duo (both apps showing full screen on each half of the screen in split screen mode). On Surface Duo and Google Fold, I'm able to play Roblox with my daughter on lower half of screen while streaming a video on top half of the screen.
I've not encountered a single app that could not split screen. However, there are some apps that will not do a floating window like RUclips music. It seems like it's very few though.
I don't have the Active Apps option, only Edit tiles. Is there a place to turn on that feature?

Have you noticed that internet browsing speeds are slow on this device? I'm wondering if anyone has noticed, or maybe it's just me?

Facing a big issue with my oneplus open. Can you help? If you take videos or attend video calls using the front camera (outer or inner screen does not matter), and the background has some light source in it which may not even be too strong, when the background is super over exposed. It looks like I'm ascending to heaven and everything behind me is super white. Can you test if this is happening for your device as well? Also, a potential solution would be very much appreciated 👍
I'm not able to replicated it, but I've heard similar complaints. There's an update rolling out, hopefully that fixes it.
@@scaryifliteral I already have that update installed for me. Did nothing for me. Is it a problem with my unit? The background does become overexposed with the presence of a light source in it. It's so white that the light source is not visible anymore.
A lot of people recommended me to use the rear camera for such situations but the rear camera doesn't mirror my face when using in video calls. It does so when I press that button on the camera app but not so much when using apps that have video call functionality.
As I understand it from gsmarena, this phone has a feature that I have sorely missed and that is an IR blaster! PLEASE TELL ME IT'S TRUE 💜!

Do you daily drive your foldables, or do you bounce around between these and a slab phone? I'm still very much in love with the S23 Ultra despite being a behemoth of a phone
