Great video. I felt so bad when you mentioned that 2 pieces were missing, my heart just sank for you and your enthusiasm. You were blessed with Emma's generosity. I'm not a huge fan of Disney, even though I live a little over an hour from Disney World in Florida. I have never done a Clementoni puzzle before, but the quality looks fantastic as well as the packaging. I loved seeing the linen texture when you did a close up in a previous video, My daughters and I are doing an exchange soon and I believe I'll receive my first Clementoni to try out. I'm excited about that now. Thank you for sharing your experience with your Disney puzzle.

Thank you! I know, I was gutted when I realised the pieces were missing and I was hugely grateful to Emma - she was a star! ⭐️
I love Clementoni puzzles, great image quality and I like the woven finish too. Some of their puzzles don’t have that, I think sometimes it depends on the piece count, but most of the ones I have done do. I hope you enjoy your first Clementoni! X

Hi! This puzzle will remain one of my favourites forever I think. It is lovely and, like you, I love that they got so many Disney characters in 😍 thank you for watching the video and for your kind words - I really enjoyed building this puzzle x

Imagine that these characters are doing the La Cenerentola opera! And Lady Tremaine is just speechless about why they made a Cinderella opera that she is not in it! 😅 Highly recommend opera with English subtitles since it is Italian and 3 hours long but it is worth to watch and very entertaining. Now i have the opera songs in my head. As you said you had Disney songs. 😂 ❤❤❤

🤣 yes, she’d be a bit confused about that I would imagine! I have never really watched opera, but would definitely try it, I think I would probably enjoy it! 😍

@Vickymakesandbuilds I'm all English and I enjoy the opera alot. I love singing it. There a few of them here on RUclips with English subtitles. Try it out and see if you like it.

The duck on the french horn you asked about is Gus Goose. (Or Guffen here in Norway.) :) He is a farmboy on grandma Duck's farm. He is extremly lazy, and loves to eat.

I puzzle at our diningroom table. Our Ragdoll cat, Milow, has to be by me at all times...and several times he's jumped right up unto the puzzle!! I'm always worried I lose a piece!!! So happy someone was able to help you!

Aaw! He sounds lovely 😍 my Grace loves company as well, so he will often do the same thing. I was so lucky with that section of the Disney Orchestra! It was pure chance that put me in touch with Emma - she had a spare, partially damaged, copy of the puzzle so she was kind enough to offer help when I needed it 😃 whether the cat is there or not though, I always get the missing piece fear - without fail! 😆

Before even watching the sorting, I'm going to tell my opinion of the micro vs macro sorting. In my opinion, macro sorting is better.
    1) You will missort them, you will make errors. This is absolutely clear. And because of that, you will have stuff in wrong piles. So doing the macro first, micro then allows you to fix those missortings.
    2) Doing the macro sort first and then the micro sort, it is a lot faster to sort the piles again, because there's so much fewer of those pieces in each pile. And that makes it more fun, because you can be "done" at so many more moments than with sorting absolutely everything.
    3) You have a lot better idea of what kind of piles you want to sort.
    4) You don't need to have 50 different piles, which of 48 you forgot what the piles are about.
And for sure that's only my opinion.

Thanks for your comment. I learned a lot about sorting with this puzzle! Sorting is not my preferred way of tackling a puzzle, but I felt it necessary for this giant one, especially on the double section that I did. Being my first large puzzle, sorting was still a bit of a learning process for me. I personally find it easier to macro sort first, but that is mainly because I don’t enjoy sorting and get a bit fed up part way through. For smaller piece counts though, if I sort, I tend to be more detailed with it from the get go.

My heart sank a bit when you mentioned about the two missing pieces. Thank you Emma for the help. I would tackle Section C next, to finish off the difficult curtain part first, so that I could enjoy the more colourful and easier Section F.

Me too! It was heartbreaking - thank goodness for Emma 😍 I’m inclined to agree with doing section C first 😀

    I'm done editing...please reread...I've added some:
Again, I am new to your channel, and am following this puzzle video.
I have thoroughly been enjoying your Disney video. Just absolutely love your comments, and the way you comment so much in detail, and analyze parts, that makes it so much fun to watch, almost like I'm dping ot with you! I wish I could comment " in person" to another "pro professional" like me, but sadly, many of us are spread apart.
I no longer wish to put together a large piece count puzzles in a small space because of the constant board-switching (I want to mix all of them)...that leads me to a question... how large of a piece-count puzzle can I build on one board on a table?!
I am like you, DESPISE sorting, and wish to just sort the edges, and sink my fingers in all those pieces in the box to find anything of my interest, and listen to the sound the pieces make as I move them around in the box! I may take longer, but that's how I enjoy it best!
Please be aware that that kind person who will replace your missing pieces may have a copy, but the color may be off a bit. I had a 3000-pc Ravensburger with a missing piece that was replaced, and that's what happened. I know, better than nothing, but if you have a keen eye, ypu can tell. However, it seems like in this video, there wasn't much of a difference that I could tell.
**Did you ever find the original pieces, since you posted this 6 months ago?** Either way, thank you, Emma for your kindness!!!
**You congratulated me...can you tell me what for?**

Hi! Thanks for following my videos on this - I’m so glad that you are enjoying them. I really do appreciate constructive feedback as it helps me to keep on doing what I’m doing right, and improve on things that could be better 😍
I know what you mean, sometimes I wish I could chat to a lot of the puzzlers that I have ‘met’ on social media as well - we are a scattered bunch, globally speaking! I do think it’s great how puzzling brings people together though 😃
I understand about not wanting to do the continual board switching, it’s one way of doing it, but it isn’t necessarily for everybody. In answer to your question, I think it all depends on a) how large your table is, b) if you are using a board on a table, how large is the board you are using? And c) how large is the puzzle? My puzzle table is 150cm x 75cm and it fit a 2200 piece section of the Disney puzzle fine. My boards are A1 sized so you’d be looking at maybe 1500 pieces for that. You can get bigger boards though, or tape more than one together to get the size you need.
As far as sorting goes, I consider it a necessary evil with giant puzzles 🤣 I would struggle to build them otherwise. If I had a giant table that I could walk around and fit the entire puzzle on, then perhaps I’d consider mixing pieces and using the method you describe, but I’d get completely lost if I tried that in my little flat 😊
I do agree with you though, that feeling of sinking your fingers in, mixing them around, listening to the pieces clack together and just putting it together at a leisurely pace, that is very similar sounding to my usual method of puzzling and I also prefer to do that, especially if i’m doing 1000 piece puzzles.
I hadn’t considered the slightly altered colour thing with regard to replacement pieces. I think you are right, in my case it didn’t show, not that I could tell anyway. I never did find those missing pieces though so I was just grateful to have met someone that had them to give to me 😍
I’m a little confused by the last line of your comment. Sorry, I don’t remember congratulating you, can you remind me?
Thank you again for watching my videos, I really do appreciate the support.

I have! I did a video comparing the two puzzles, large and small. After that, I discovered that there are actually two 1000 piece versions of this puzzle. The other one has stage lighting, but no audience whatsoever! I have it at home 😍

Happy Birthday and Congratulations on finishing Section 4! I'd have been devastated about the missing pieces. It's so fortunate you were able to get them replaced! I'm not a cat person at all and this video reinforces that. If I were doing this I would also tackle the more difficult section C first and save the best for last. I'm looking forward to seeing how you choose to proceed with the next sections. Now you know there's a significant difference, will you choose to sort less and have a longer puzzling time to enjoy, or sort more and have a shorter puzzling time?

    • @Vickymakesandbuilds
      @Vickymakesandbuilds  3 года назад

Thank you 😊 yes, I was gutted when I realised, but I was extremely fortunate. Cats and puzzles definitely do not mix 🤣 I think you are right, I will more than likely do the top right section next. I think it will be interesting to try and do a detailed sort on the top section - there are more obvious sorting categories in the bottom sections in my opinion, but I could try it on the top one and see what happens. I think I may try and slow down the process on the last section - I am really going to miss this puzzle when I’m done!

You enjoy sitting on the puzzle because you are a cat person. As every cat owner knows you only have put down a newspaper or something and the cat will soon sit on it🐱. I have four cats so when I do my puzzles on the dining table I have to put my four or five sorting boxes on top of the puzzle then I have a piece of plywood which is the same size as the table which I cover everything with. The plywood is easy to store and the cats can still jump on to it.

Hi! Each section is 2204 pieces. Thank you for watching it all - I absolutely loved this puzzle - I think you’ll love it too 😍
Isn’t the NY skyline one 32k? Or is there a 12k NY one too? I’m intrigued now! 😊

I do! Apologies, I thought you meant the piece count 😆 I can’t remember off the top of my head, but having looked at the dimensions of the overall puzzle, I have worked out that each section is 97.13 x 67.2cm. In inches that is around 38.24 x 26.46 inches.
Ah, I shall look up that 1998 NY skyline puzzle - thank you 🤩

      @Vickymakesandbuilds  7 месяцев назад

So, when we got Grace we also got his brother, Cody. That’s the black cat you saw. Unfortunately, when we moved, we couldn’t take him with us, so he went to the home of some very close friends. He’s super happy with them and we still see him sometimes. He’s much more suited to an outdoor lifestyle, whereas Grace is very much an indoor cat. So, yes, he was ours, but not any more 😊
