- This and the next two weeks I’d like to present music that is maybe more close to my heart than any other music : the slow mouvements from Bachs Sonatas for solo violin.
First video is the Andante from Sonata no 2.
I made the arrangement from the violin version and in the repetitions I sometimes add notes and ideas from the harpsichord version of the same
piece,BWV 964.
Recorded in my studio on an 11-str guitar by Georg Bolin 1974

This is one of the greatest guitar heroes around for my generation of Swedish guitarists. When I was young he was the reference on how to sound along with Bream, Williams and some other of course. Now being a bit older I really appreciate his layers of sensitivity and musical intelligence that I didn't hear when I was younger.

Ahh i love this movement! Learning it on violin was really tough though, trying to get all the bass notes to speak in one bow stroke was the hardest part for me. You sound great as always!

If you play 6-str guitar you can easily play this piece directly from the original in C-Major. Good luck 🎶
