Thieves Are Robbing Houses Under Exterminator Tents

- If you have termites, exterminators may cover your house in a tent for fumigation. But some thieves are targeting these covered homes, even donning gas masks to deal with the toxic fumes. It happened to screenwriter Chloe King, who had $77,000 of her mother’s jewelry stolen by a thief who was seen rifling through her closet as the home was being treated for termites. She says Terminex, the company she hired, told her not to secure her valuables and that the house would be safe. #InsideEdition

"they said don't worry about it, your house is completely secure"

We fumigated for termites early this year. Even tho we had security cameras and a home security system. Our windows and front door including the garage door had to be left open for the fumes to get through the inside of the tent. Instead of getting a hotel in the middle of a pandemic (considering all the nasty hotel videos inside addition has) we rented a decent RV! Husband and I sanitized it before the kids and pets got in, parked it in our driveway and guarded our own home!
We would buy take out and eat in the RV so we wouldn’t have to use the propane stove. Saved us money since they charged by the miles and the amount of propane used.
If you have mean neighbors that would hate seeing an RV parked in your own drive way, even on the curb, do it anyways! By the time they call the city and they come check it out, your RV is gone. It was only at our house 3 days and 2 nights. Hope this helps.

My neighbor did that too. I did not mind the rv parked in the street for a couple days at all. Hell I even let him park it in my driveway for a couple hours.
