Kids blocking Driveway story - This always drives me nuts normally, but both my spouse and I worked for emergency services for a bit when a neighbors kids (really early teens) tired to "assert their dominance" by parking themselves in front of our driveway. If I'm not using it I do not care...but one day it came to a head where my spouse had a call and they wouldn't move. We didn't know them well at that point, we'd just wave hi every once and awhile. I had to threaten to run over the kids bikes if they didn't move them right fucking now. They ran over, moved the bikes, my spouse went to their call. The kids complained to their parents that I threatened to run them over, not just all the shit they put in front of my garage on my property, and they called law enforcement. When the parents and cops realized the kids blocked an emergency responder the kids were in deep shit. I was basically dismissed immediately...and I could hear the dad shouting "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU? WHAT IF THAT WAS ONE OF US!? OR YOUR BROTHER!? OR EVEN YOU!? AND YOU STOPPED SOMEONE FROM HELPING AND THEY DIED!?"
USB story: Years ago, before I retired, I worked for a bank in a team providing technical support and fraud prevention for their on-line banking operation. The bank's policy on USB devices (notably the little memory sticks) was straightforward and reasonable: their use was blocked unless the staff member had a specific need (we did) and then they were automatically encrypted. Not all my colleagues had the privilege to use them, and even then their use was locked down to certain task-related functions - except for me: for some reason I never discovered I had been granted totally unlimited access rights which, had I been so inclined, would have allowed me to download and spirit away - or upload - all kinds of material. Somebody either trusted me implicitly or finger trouble had occurred when setting it up (the latter seems more likely).
I had a fingerprint encrypted external at about 250GB. Any connect I had to put in my fingerprint. It worked well. A new PW every session is simply insane.
Hardware Karen: What a coward. Instead of telling off the Karen Krapolius, he decided to destroy the day of several innocent employees because he was being spiteful. He should have been cruel and petty to HER. Not to the people that work there. What a jerk. I do agree that Karen was an insufferable ass, but he wasn't any better.

HOA wasn't mentioned. The Karen formed a Residents Association, they aren't a HOA. What is a Residents Association? A Resident Association (RA) is a formal group of people who live in a neighbourhood, and decide that they want to get together to deal with concerns that affect their local community. The group can include tenants, shared owners, leaseholders and homeowners. They don't have any real powers and they were only able to stop the building by complaining to the Councils Planning Department.
The guy hates kids. He wrote his story from the view of an asshole. I don't believe a damn word he says. I would love to hear a recounting of this story from the father of the children.
