There is a Starbucks just north of University of Miami which every morning has cops that need to direct traffic. Partially due to it being a badly thought out location, but also due to the extreme levels of Karens.
You can tell when a group or association doesn't want cameras they are doing something illegal. Oh BTW someone tried starting a Renters Assn in my building. My landlord stopped this when he threatened to evict it's leaders.
A true renter's association though are typically more like a tenant bargaining group to force a bad landlord to do the repairs they're slacking on, and to fight aggressive rent hikes. That an owner tried to evict organizers is a sign that you have an abusive landlord so this isn't a good thing.
Starbucks Karen sounds like a five-year-old, blaming the employee for Karen backing into T's car. No one told Karen to get upset because she didn't get her drizzle cookie, that falls solely on Karen's shoulders. Had Karen just taken her drink and left without making a fuss, she wouldn't have had to explain herself to the police or her insurance company. Wonder how much her insurance increased over a cookie? A guest parks in the guest parking spot but can't park there because of the condition of their car? That HOA lady is nuts.

Just curious. 1st HOA story: This is why I refuse to live in an HOA, will fight tooth and nail to prevent one from forming where I live and if one does, I will refuse to join. There are probably plenty of well-run HOA's, but it only takes one person getting on the board to make people's life miserable. HOA sons story: I would have been installing doorbell cameras for my unit and ask any of the residents facing the parking lot to put a camera in their window. Can't imagine why the not-quite HOA tried to get you to quit patrolling.😈
As a Former Kitchen Porter OVERS IN A FAST FOOD AND OTHER RESTAURANTS ARE Industrial OVENS AND UNLIKE OVENS IN THE HOME THEY COST THOUSANDS OR MORE ! AND PUTTING IN A COOKIE ALREADY COOKED WILL MAKE SAID COOKIE GO BLACK BURNT IF GOOD OR DUST IN A JAR AT WORST AND COST A MINT TO FIX ?. When I-was in the Metropolitan Police Service in London in The UK A Dumb Ass Kitchen Porter left an Oven Mit in it over the weekend and he left the Oven On Over a 4 Day Bank Holiday Weekend IE EASTER AND HE CAUSED 150k IN DAMAGE AND EQUIPMENT ! SO NOT CHEAP AND IS STILL PAYING IT OFF TODAY MORE THAN 10 YEARS LATER BECAUSE HE WAS THE LAST ONE TO LEAVE THE UNIT/KITCHEN OH HE WAS FIRED BUT HE STILL HAD TO PAY IT BACK ! NO NOT ALL OF THE 150k BUT 80k OF IT ?.
In the last story I knew from pretty much the beginning that someone on the board or 1 of their family members had to be involved with the way they refused to do anything & came up with BS rules abt walking around at night
300 page HOA Rules Story: OP should have told the HOA that their Authority stops at the doors...they can tell you what you can & can't do to the outside of your home and yard, but NOT the inside, even if it's visible through a window, they have no Right to dictate what (if any) blinds, curtains and/or window treatments you put on the inside. Nor can they dictate how many Guests you have over or when they can visit or for how long...
