Doctor's office story: Just like many other service providers, you don't want to be rude to a doctor and/or his staff. They control your HEALTH CARE! While they're very unlikely to do something unprofessional to get even, they can be very quick to fire you as a patient and cause you to have to search far and wide for a new doctor. On top of it you then have the hassle of getting your records and prescriptions transferred, not to mention your insurance. Bar story: Soooo many laws violated right then. But I would never have told any of them that I didn't work there, only that I was only allowed to do the dishes. But you did well to cut DB off at that point. IT story: NEVER mess with the IT guy, even if you're a charity. HOA story: Don't mess with old people who have money. They have the knowhow and the means to piss you off and get away with it. But I would have installed a 6 ft. wooden privacy fence and had each board painted a different color... on the outside of the fence.
I am so impressed by Granddaddy. Granddaddy don’t take no s$&t from no HOA. He probably could have kicked their butts & taken names when he was a Younger man. I like him, even though I don’t know him. He deserves RESPECT.
There's a story about a doctor's practice where the annual gift to the workers is to pick one patient of the practice to get rid of, no questions. Everyone is very happy to prune the Karens and Kens. Lots less stress for everyone.
Ok, the black fence and every other part of that house sounds completely amazing and I would love to live there. It could be amazing for an old victorian to have those splashes of color. I want to add a few really weird garden gnomes. something to scare the kids and karens off the lawn.
Idk how they do things in other countries but if that 1st story is true none of that would have gone down in the U.S. at least not without that Dr. possibly losing his license. It doesn't matter what OP said abt that woman to the dr, him saying anything back & discussing the other patient no matter what the discussion was about is a violation of HIPAA laws & unprofessional. Especially walking out in the middle of OPs appt to have staff call the woman to ban her & discussing that loud enough for OP & his dad to hear. I'm not saying she didn't get what she deserved bc she seemed like a horrible Karen. I'm just saying that by doing all that he risked his license & practice
saying "she just needed a needle" doesn't violate HIPAA Laws though, he didnt say anything more (from OPs account) of what her condition was i think doctors know what they can/cant say more then we do, so if he discussed it, he obviously knew it was safe to
First story... "best doctor"? I beg to differ: no sane doctor would tell _other_ patients why someone came to see him, simply because it violates pretty much every rule regarding privacy and all medical ethics as well.
The problem I have with your videos is they aren't long enough and you don't post enough of them! But, Damn! They are always good for a laugh! I think my favorite story is the one where the lady is accosted by a lunatic Karen in two different stores and the Karen insults her cat, PanPan. I was at Pete's Billiards Den in North Park. Hustler came in and was putting bets on the side. Pete didn't mind beer bets but when money was involved he would have lost his license if caught by the man so he kept a watch on things as any good business owner would. He enlisted my aid. He only served beer. I, a regular was tapped to man the bar while he took the hustler for all the money he had. I got free beer for the rest of the night. Pete did gave the hustler back 30$ and told him he should catch the next bus to Tucson.
So for the first story I know that's it's not much of an excuse but I work with the elderly and thier sense of time is off to say the least for us it's 15 to the most of the time it honestly feels longer just due to the fact that they can space out in a way that makes it seems like they've been there for hours I have about 5 residents that start to panic within about 5 minutes of thier order being taken cause they forget

Regarding the Dr’s office and the nasty old woman…good for the Dr. I know a woman who has been banned from at least 3 different Dr’s offices, because she’s regularly nasty to the staff.
During the 1980’s I had an appointment with my doctor at our HMO, I had to wait over an hour to see him. Ait wasn’t more than a regular appointment, no emergency. This was at the height of HIV awareness and we have a large Gay population. My doctor was a key member in the medical community working on treatment programs for it and I found out later that he received recommendations and awards for his work and outreach. I didn’t mind the wait as he was such a great doctor. I was with him till he retired, over 20 years. During my life so far I have had only 3 doctors, The first was from birth till I moved away then this doctor and now a younger doctor. I just feel lucky to get good providers.

If you'e never seen a painted lady Victorian home, do an image search. They are lovely. Many are in parts of California.
