I hope all of y’all had a great week! We’ve been exploring our state this week and I wanted to take you along with us!
We start off in Beech Mountain, North Carolina and end up at Wilmington Beach, on the NC coast at the end of our trip.
This is a short video, and I hope you enjoy the scenery and the soft-spoken voiceover.
I love the way you’ve become an unofficial travel guide for North Carolina. No hype, just honest reflections on all the state’s offerings. It takes me back to my long-lost days as a college student reading Thomas Wolfe! 🙂

I used to walk on Wrightsville Beach almost daily when I lived in wilmington years and years ago!
Loved this Lindy! My husband is from South Carolina and my parents always took my brother and I camping in Tennessee when we were little but I’ve not really spent time in NC. Love the charm of the wonderful towns. Thanks for sharing this my friend xoxo

I've been watching ASMR for about 15 years (since before it was even a "thing") and I can hand-on-heart say that your videos are the best I've ever watched. Wow 🤗I loved the mountain areas. I never heard of that a particular resort area. I have been to the shore points but not the mountains other than Cherokee reservation resort area. So beautiful so well-kept sounds like a great trip. I definitely would stop to have dinner at both restaurants, especially where you had the lavender cocktail that looked fabulous. I’ve never heard of that drink before. I’m assuming it was a cocktail with vodka in it… I am going look up the recipe on the Internet. So glad you got to bring your daughter with to the shore. So beautiful relaxing. Your husband looks like a really great guy!!! Somebody who really likes to have a lot of fun even though I don’t think he said to much…He definitely looks like he be cool to hang out with. Glad you enjoyed your vacation. I am a huge Wizard of Oz fan. There so many good life lessons and quotes in that movie that people never even pick up on….whenever I’m feeling down I’ll put that movie on among others, but I’ve always loved it.❤
oh man! If you are a huge fan, I think you would absolutely ADORE the Land of Oz. I almost cried several times while we were there.

If I remember correctly, I think the drink had St. Germain, Lavender Bitters and Lemon...among other things. It was a great drink!

@@Southernladyasmr yes! My aunt and 93 year old mom have a great recipe. I’m going to give it a try when I get home. My pickles are growing nicely.

I love North Carolina so much ❤ I moved here 2 years ago, wanted to live here ever since I was a young girl. Its so great that i can live in the country with peace and quiet but fun is not too far of a drive away, either. Such a beautiful state.

What a beautiful area that you live in. It's very similar to the area that I live in, where we have the beach on one side along Georgian Bay and Blue Mountain on the other. And yet another similarity between you and I. 😀

Yes! scuppernong ice cream! Have you ever eaten a scuppernong grape?
I was a bit apprehensive to get the ice cream as the flavor of the grape is intense, but it was very mild.

It was SO good! I remember it having lavender bitters, lemon and St. Germain...but can't remember what else.

Hi Lindy, do you recommend beech mountain in December? My family and I want to plan a trip to North Carolina hopefully we get to see snow for the first time lol we are from Florida. Thank you for making this video 🤗🤗

It’s beautiful up there in December, but you may have to get chains on your tires as the mountain is usually covered in snow.
Lots of skiing and other fun activities are happening up there plus, it’s great fun to see all of the Christmas lights twinkling against the snow. ❄️☃️

We just got back from ol dirty myrtle 😂.. I think next trip we'll try out one of our NC beaches instead
