My Nana used to make trays and trays of jello and cream cheese jigglers. She'd make lots of the cherry and strawberry and some of the lime. They'd be in little squares stacked with cream cheese in the middle. We all used to gobble these up.

Lol….too funny! You kind of reminded me of ‘Sandy’ in the movie Grease while smoking her cigarette. 😁. And Oh my gosh I loved those phones! Watching Dallas was one of my fav TV shows! And Dukes of Hazard? 🔥😂 hottest on tv of its time! Thanksgiving has always been such a delicious feast and gathering of the ‘troops’ lol…looooove jello but my kids didn’t grow up liking it so that’s been replaced by a marshmallow salad. In our house our TV is on, football in the background, family arriving like the Grizzwald’s and it’s all awesome. Loved this! 😀👏🦃

I am Canadian so we have our Thanksgiving at the beginning of October. Oh my goodness what I would do for some stuffing (dressing) and mashed potatoes

What a treat of a video, Lindy! Some really happy childhood memories I have are of my beloved Nana chatting it up on the phone with various family members during the holidays. This will be the very 1st holiday, in my almost 40 years, that she won't be here with us in the flesh. You always bring so much comfort to me and so many of us. You're truly a treasure. You were so funny.😂😂😂 this was hilarious it certainly lightened the mood greatly after the last couple months. I just loved it. If you lived up here in the Philadelphia/ New Jersey area it would take you a couple days to get that turkey defrosted😂😂😂(though probably not now….because we barely have a winter. I don’t remember when I wore a winter coat we haven’t had a true winter in a long time. I think my favorite memory as a Gen-xer is times did seem simpler. Or maybe I just felt that way be cause I was young and family was a lot closer….. less problems in the world then today probably a little more kindness and a little less materialism though the 80s were very materialistic. Loved this! I'm a sucker for smoking as my parents were smokers even though I never was and never will be. So many things clicked with this video 😂

I knew we were kindred spirits😊. I loved this video hearing about your tea cup collection and how you used the practise of sitting and enjoying a cup of tea with your children and memories overflowed remembering those precious childhood days when sucking on sugar cubes! 😂I never registered for a China set for my wedding either and over the years have accumulated a set for my daughter and my son ( it’s all kept at moms house for now😁) as well as collecting from local thrift and antique stores, adding to my singles collection. I’ll be using my sons set this Christmas for morning breakfast as they are coming for Christmas this year. I am now in the process of ‘passing on’ to my nieces celebrating with a tea party, either at home or enjoying out, where they put on an afternoon tea. It truly is a practise in many countries to sit and enjoy a cup of tea and glad that there are those, like yourself, that keep traditions with/over tea in the present. 💓P.S. forgot to mention my fav teas are Cream of Earl Grey, English Breakfast, and treat myself to a London Fog Latte’ made with Blume Rose tea.

Oh, I remember! My parents didn't smoke but my friends' moms did. Right there inside the house! 😂 And the yellow casserole dish in the background was spot on! Our Thanksgivings were usually huge gatherings at my grandparents' house! With southern sides like chicken & dumplings and cornbread dressing!

The 'do what??!' and the cigarette smoking immediately took me right back to my childhood kitchen with my mom. She's been gone a little over 2 years -the holidays are hard 😢- but thank you for all you do to help me remember these little moments 💕

Oh my goodness Lindy I was right there with you!!! I could so hear my aunt and my mom making the plans on the phone and the pauses for the cigarettes took me right back!! Fighting over the wishbone was a fun memory! I kept waiting for a jello dessert- so glad it was there. Bike ramp!!!! This was awesome and so incredibly nostalgic
