The reviewer of this video did a excellent job and it is good to see this phone get more attention i have the Xperia 1V since almost 3 month and it is a fantastic device hope this update also soon will come to the 1V .
Hi Wilhelm, we're glad to hear from you, and we hope you continue to enjoy your phone for years to come! Which update do you mean, so we can pass your feedback? 🤓^Hanan
I meant the android 14 update but suprisingly today i was lucky i turn on my pc and then tab on Xperia Companion connect my 1V to the PC and did a repair the software and after half an hour the repair was done i was suprise their was android 14 on my 1V that was great . And everything so far runs very smooth .
Sony....you have a great phone, please freaking give 5 years system update support with the price you are charging. If only sony would hybrid the choice of auto and manual in their cameral it would be gold standard for cameral fans and casual user
Their cameras outshine those of Xiaomi, Samsung, and even Apple, not to mention compact APS-C mirrorless cameras. The photos captured aren't overprocessed, cartoonish oil paintings like the ones from Xiaomi, Samsung, and Apple. You can literally print Sony smartphone camera photos on a large scale for your house wallpaper, a feat only DSLRs or MFT cameras can match. Perhaps Apple will persevere with ProRAW, but there's this.
Hey Sony, I just ordered the 5 V. I am giving Sony a shot this time picking it over the S23. I have not yet received the phone but I sincerely hope that I'd like it. The only thing still bothering me is your update policy. I hope you give atleast one more update for this phone than the currently promised 2.
Hi Kevin, congratulations on your purchase! Feel free to reach out to us anytime to provide us with your feedback. Rest assured, we will certainly pass your feedback through the relevant channels to ensure it can be considered in future updates. ^Mennah
@@SonyEuro As per my knowledge this can be easily incorporated via software update. If you don't update the features the Xperia 5 IV will get outdated and this is not to be expected from a flagship phone.
Really nice video from Olle. All shots are very impressive. May be Sony needs to improve the color reproduction. For instance in 6:57 when comparing the pic from Sony A71V and Sony Xperia 5V, pic of A71V is slightly saturated and more appealing than 5V which more of the very natural tone. At least they should include the toggle option of taking natural pic and vivid pic in the basic mode or Auto mode which can be done through a software update. Also, please give 3 or 4 major OS update which is the current market trend. Sony phones can easily last for 4 to 5 years with the hardware and battery quality. Releasing just 3 phones a year, this shouldn't be a problem for Sony. With above said points obviously the sales number would see a raise.
So it has more manual controls for a mobilephone since Sony makes good digital / system cameras and they probably take a lot of that knowledge over to their mobilephone cameras , but still even if it is manual controls it seems to have a bit more intuitive settings in the manual controls. Like 3:59 in to the video you can still choose from different prepared settings even in manual mode, like the white balance you can choose from different prepared settings like "cloudy" , "daylight" and so on instead of going full manual like you often do in a system camera like my old Sony A77. That is really nice, so it kinda has "automated manual settings" if you will, which is awesome for people that wants to learn how to better take pictures but do not want to start out with reading for days about how to do so. Would it be fair to say that Sony has one of the better mobilecameras in the Xperia 5 V and the Xperia 1 V if you go with manual settings instead of autosettings ? Because I have heard that in autosettings the Google Pixel 7 and more expensive Iphones has the better mobilecameras but that the Sony might be better in manual mode ? What do you think ? Or which one is better for photos and videos ? The Google Pixel 8 or the Sony Xperia 5 V ? Because they are both around 700-800$/€ right now.
Yes, Sony generally is better if you learn all of the settings, but the Google Pixel camera is better "out of the box". For me, it took a while to learn all of the camera settings but it's fun to tinker with the settings and learn how to take great photos.
feel like a superior camera than that of 15 pm even more so if you edit. always feel like xperia's raw files have been more natural looking and seems to be easier to work with. the proraw on iphone 14 pro was good but the whole process editing on lr is weird af with dramatically off exposure and whatnot. Major problem with this or galaxy stuff which also has great camera and raw file being android's typical lower upload quality into stuff like instagram. And their general display color being different than iphones' causing us needing to check the result on apple devices after editing. if they ever figure these out I will get one of these for sure.

Is it really not possible to record 120fps in 48mm mode? If not, will it be possible in future via software update or is it a hardware limitation? Can third-party apps like Filmic Pro recognize and fully utilize 48mm mode or it can be used only by default apps?
