I actually don't think most guys getting into pickup are necessarily damaged or broken. We unfortunately live in a climate where a lot of young men don't naturally know how to interact with women effectively. I do think it is a learnable skill. Not being good with women does not equal being confused or damaged necessarily. Practicing interacting with women a lot can improve your results, which will make you feel better about yourself.
I think you missed the point. Do the work, then come back and say that. This is about inner game, vs. outer game. You can fake it, but that’s not being real, and you won’t attract the type of person you are looking for. It ain’t rocket science, but it does take a little more work, if you want to love yourself, and have true authenticity. Game recognize game.

I think this is an example of misunderstanding what pickup is about. Pickup IS about what to say and do in certain situations. But the pickup community and the coaches within it are very aware that you have to actually connect with the girls. You have to use the "Material" In your own way. It's a guide that you fit Yourself into, not just some robotic script. The end goal is for the "material" to just come naturally without you thinking about it. Pickup teaches you to focus on gaming women to get “pum pum,” as Sasha and my wonderful Islanders would say. Women really aren’t going anywhere, any time soon so no need to go chasing after them. At the end of it all, what do we have to show after we’ve laid all the women we wanted to? On the other hand, you’re more likely to lose than you are to gain, being a mPUA, PUA and etc. I was in pickup for a while, and I can tell you that after some time, you’ll even forget what laying a particular girl felt like. True story! Us men need to start getting on our purposes and getting to know who we truly are. Thank you for putting this out there. I think more companies should embrace this viewpoint instead of just technique techniques or even principles. A lot of them have great people that could help us heal and grow for real but they are stuck into teaching pick up because it makes money. I hope they will transition, some are evolving.

The last time I did a daygame approach was about 3 years ago. Not long after that I got into a relationship with a colleague. We had a nice time together but for some reason I became seriously depressed. She could not cope with the depression and therefore she ended our relationship. I was sent to a mental hospital were I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I received intensive therapy and got all kinds of medication for my depression. Present day, two years later, we (me and my psychiatrist) came to the conclusion that therapy and meds are not working for me. Last Sunday I decided to focus on daygame in the hope of feeling less anxious and dark. So yesterday and the day before that I went outside to approach women on the street. At first it was scary but guess what, after a few approaches I really felt great for the first time since my diagnosis! I already feel more confidence, masculine and more social. Daygame so far does more for me than 2 years of therapy and meds. Pickup can ruin lives maybe but it can also be helpful.

But a few weeks ago I started to implement changes, like eating healthier (keto diet more or less), go to the gym on a regular basis, meditating, stopped using drugs and alcohol. Go mgtow monk for 2-3 years. To build who you are and self respect. Set a few small goals and achieve them. A few years is nothing. Best in poorer countries which help to humble us westerners! That will help you learn of your strengths and weaknesses. And to overcome them. I find it interesting that most ancient traditions would ground their new generations in several years of foundational teachings, values work, spirit quests, and rites of passage before they could become warriors or leaders or shamans. It’s still very evident in practices with long lineages, such as martial arts. Before its students are trusted to wield such a powerful technology they must do the work. The instant gratification produced by the enermous efficiency of western culture has made us impatient and we’ve lost the the sense of value of having done the deep, unsexy self work that is the foundation for any practice, and thus all of the meaning that the practice would’ve naturally derived evaporates along with. It’s akin to giving new recruits m16’s and license to kill without ever going through boot camp and earning the title of soldier. Yet, somehow, we act surprised with what we are left with: A culture of hollow, sex addicted man-babies with imposter syndrome, scouring the wastelands of tinder and Instagram like hungry ghosts, only to find mirage after mirage instead of the oasis they were promised by their self proclaimed gurus. That's not pickup at all. The modern approach is all about fixing your issues, understanding society, a.k.a being the best you can. But you HAVE to have a goal or a set of parameters defined so that you know you are on the right path. Some guys want that to be "getting laid after X", "getting laid with the type of women you like", "getting a girlfriend you really like and chose", etc. that's on each individual. But what Sasha proposes is "fix your issues" yet don't have a way to measure if you are on the right path to fixing them. It is convenient for him, if you don't have a parameter to determine if what he is saying is bs, he can sell you LOADS of crap courses and keep you in the wheel. Honestly Sasha's just projecting his own failure on pickup, he mentions being in this loop of not getting many results and still doing pickup and that's exactly him. I think this is an example of misunderstanding what pickup is about.
Pickup IS about what to say and do in certain situations. But the pickup community and the coaches within it are very aware that you have to actually connect with the girls. You have to use the "Material" In your own way. It's a guide that you fit Yourself into, not just some robotic script.
The end goal is for the "material" to just come naturally without you thinking about it.
And I remember a specific infield clip where one of the critisicms Mystery has about one of his mentees is that he is just "running material" And not being genuine enough. He's not doing it with passion

I disagree with him. Pick up can be a part of a self improvement journey together with the healing. Also, healing may take ages but for mating, we have 10-15ys.
Pickup teaches you to focus on gaming women to get “pum pum,” as Sasha and my wonderful Islanders would say. Women really aren’t going anywhere, any time soon so no need to go chasing after them. At the end of it all, what do we have to show after we’ve laid all the women we wanted to? On the other hand, you’re more likely to lose than you are to gain, being a mPUA, PUA and etc. I was in pickup for a while, and I can tell you that after some time, you’ll even forget what laying a particular girl felt like. True story!
Us men need to start getting on our purposes and getting to know who we truly are. Thank you for putting this out there. I think more companies should embrace this viewpoint instead of just technique techniques or even principles. A lot of them have great people that could help us heal and grow for real but they are stuck into teaching pick up because it makes money. I hope they will transition, some are evolving.

The last time I did a daygame approach was about 3 years ago. Not long after that I got into a relationship with a colleague. We had a nice time together but for some reason I became seriously depressed. She could not cope with the depression and therefore she ended our relationship. I was sent to a mental hospital were I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I received intensive therapy and got all kinds of medication for my depression. Present day, two years later, we (me and my psychiatrist) came to the conclusion that therapy and meds are not working for me.
Last Sunday I decided to focus on daygame in the hope of feeling less anxious and dark. So yesterday and the day before that I went outside to approach women on the street. At first it was scary but guess what, after a few approaches I really felt great for the first time since my diagnosis! I already feel more confidence, masculine and more social. Daygame so far does more for me than 2 years of therapy and meds. Pickup can ruin lives maybe but it can also be helpful.

But a few weeks ago I started to implement changes, like eating healthier (keto diet more or less), go to the gym on a regular basis, meditating, stopped using drugs and alcohol. Of course, PUA/Daygaming is not a cure but I believe it can have a supporting role regarding social anxiety and self-esteem issues. Every person must follow his/her own path I believe.
Go mgtow monk for 2-3 years. To build who you are and self respect. Set a few small goals and achieve them. A few years is nothing. Especially when women like a man a few yrs older with experience in life. Best is to save up for a trip oversees. work in a foriegn country. Or travel at least 6 months. Best in poorer countries which help to humble us westerners! That will help you learn of your strengths and weaknesses. And to overcome them. Stay longer in each country 1 month, so as to learn more of each culture. Then one can feel the different perspectives on life that they can teach you!
No matter what, after travel, you will be a wiser better , confident person! But do not break laws abroad! Serious jail time for just pot. Several Years in jail.!

Yet, somehow, we act surprised with what we are left with: A culture of hollow, sex addicted man-babies with imposter syndrome, scouring the wastelands of tinder and Instagram like hungry ghosts, only to find mirage after mirage instead of the oasis they were promised by their self proclaimed gurus. The thirsty leading the thirsty, deeper and deeper into a soulless desert.

That's not pickup at all. The modern approach is all about fixing your issues, understanding society, a.k.a being the best you can. But you HAVE to have a goal or a set of parameters defined so that you know you are on the right path. Some guys want that to be "getting laid after X", "getting laid with the type of women you like", "getting a girlfriend you really like and chose", etc. that's on each individual.
But what Sasha proposes is "fix your issues" yet don't have a way to measure if you are on the right path to fixing them. It is convenient for him, if you don't have a parameter to determine if what he is saying is bs, he can sell you LOADS of crap courses and keep you in the wheel.
Honestly Sasha's just projecting his own failure on pickup, he mentions being in this loop of not getting many results and still doing pickup and that's exactly him. That's fine if he were not to sell stuff that is not only not fixing men's external issues (e.g getting laid) but also not their internal issues. Sad that these people profit from guys who are clueless about life.
I disagree. Pick-up is a good way to practice your skills and face your fears. It's not only about sex as many others will mention here, and you know that. It will enable you to meet many people with no pressure and get all eyes on you. When you get 10 different tricks you can pull off well start focusing on your social skills and making friends with as many people as you can, especially connected men with the club scene.
Put all the effort you were planning to put into PUA into becoming a DJ and you'll never need to cold approach ever.
